Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, I received my bank statement from my AMEX credit card, reflecting a balance of {$14000.00}, some charges for purchases not authorized by me are evidenced. Most of the charges were made on XXXX and XXXX. I immediately contacted AMEX and XXXX to indicate the fraud of which I had been a victim. Both companies told me they were going to investigate the charges. In communication with AMEX they offered me to continue with the card and I told them that I was not interested because they did not protect me as a user, they never called me to alert me of such consumption. For its part, the company XXXX did confirm the fraud and proceeded to make a refund to the AMEX bank for a total of 12 refunds. I continued to claim AMEX for the other charges and they kept saying that I had to pay the remaining amount. However, in the phone calls it is evident that I recognized my real consumption that was well below {$3000.00} dollars and in fact I managed to make a payment of {$500.00} dollars. Currently, the AMEX entity transferred the account to a collection company called XXXX that has continued the process of collecting the total doubt. I have made it clear that I have not consumed anything at XXXX or XXXX. Therefore, my claim is because AMEX does not accept that it was a fraud, which has affected my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I sent two wire transfers to America Express via their wire payment directions on their website. I had attempted to make a large purchase, but given I am a new XXXX card member, they stated I would need to pre-pay to run such a large amount ( {$150000.00} ) if I wanted the points from using my card. The money has exited my two accounts ( both $ XXXX and $ XXXX transactions posted XX/XX/2022 ) but the payment never posted to my AMEX. Originally, customer service told me the wire would post in XXXX hours. I was then told by a different customer service rep that it would take 7-10 working days. It has now been 22 days, and there is no trace of the money in our AMEX account. We have opened a formal dispute, per AMEX request, with no progress yet.

Consumer Complaint: We received a payment for the purchase of insurance via American Express card, provided the services purchased, and nearly five months later the cardholder disputed the charge and AMEX deducted the full charge amount from our bank account, despite our providing clear evidence that the charge was valid and the services provided tot he cardholder. AMEX refuses to return the {$18000.00} that they took from us.
