Consumer Complaint: XXXX of 2020 I requested payment assistance on my car payments from Ally Financial. The request for 90 days started XXXX and was to end in XXXX. My payment due date for the month was typically on the XXXX of every month but at some point All Financial changed it to the XXXX. This change of date made me 30 days late on a payment which when I noticed I paid immediately. They reported the late payment for XXXX. After contacting Ally they stated they would send in a good faith request to remove the late payment, instead every month they just pushed the late payment to the current month. They did this all the way until XXXX making it seem as if I have been late within the last 30 days. This has resulted in a denial for refinancing on my hone which is causing a hardship. Ive contacted the bureau several times to correct the late payment info. Finally in attempt to resolve this, Ally promised if I paid my account in full they would delete the account from my credit history. I did that immediately even accepting a higher interest rate from another bank just to get this removed and they have not kept their word. I paid in full in XXXX and after the most recent dispute it is still being reported incorrectly that I made a late payment in XXXX which again is causing me to be denied an opportunity to lower my mortgage. Ive reached out to the bureaus several times and it seems Ally Financial is reporting incorrect info. I feel that I have been misled to pay the car off so I can stop calling about them correcting my credit report. I have never been late on any payment with Ally and due to a payment due change they initiate I made my first late payment unknowingly.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX called on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXXXXXX XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX. I asked several times if he could send me my running balance with complete payment history and several times he said he didn't have it or couldn't provide one. I called Ally Financial the original debt collector and they weren't able to provide a running balance with payment history either. On both phone calls, XXXX said I would get charged more fees and interest, even though my credit report said it has been Charged off since XX/XX/XXXX. I feel like XXXX wasn't forthcoming or honest it took us going back and forth before he could send a partial history. It was not fair and it is my right to get this information since I'm questioning the balance due. I felt like it was hard enough to pay down my balance but then to be told that if I don't handle the balance right then, that I would be charged additional fees and interest is very disheartening and mentioned that I could also be sued for the balance.

Consumer Complaint: I recently applied for vehicle financing and was denied because of a Recent Repossession. I pulled my report and could see that Ally Financial reported my previously financed vehicle ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, VIN : XXXX ) as repossessed in XX/XX/XXXX. That is incorrect, I traded that Vehicle in on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX ( supporting documents attached ). At the time of the trade in, my account with Ally was in good standing, and the dealership paid the account in full. On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Ally to make them aware of the discrepancy, and asked to review my account. I provided all information requested. A week later, I received a letter saying they would not open an investigation because of lack of account information. On XX/XX/XXXX I spend approximately 4.5 hours on the phone with various departments within Ally, and each one told me the same thing, I am unable to locate your old account, let me transfer you. This companys negligence has cost me money, time, and now the ability to finance a vehicle.
