Consumer Complaint: I have submitted applications for XXXX Loan forgiveness as a XXXX and XXXX XXXX in a XXXX XXXX XXXX working for 6 years. I have been denied 4 times and given conflicting and false reasons for the denials. XX/XX/XXXX- Denied for missing information from CAO. I have a copy of my submitted application and all information is present. Called and representative could not give me information and what was missing as their retrieved copy showed all information being present. XX/XX/XXXX-Denied for exact same reason as before and again not helped when called. XX/XX/XXXX-Denied because my XXXX was not listed on the low-income directory until the XX/XX/XXXX XXXX year. I call and representative tells me to reapply at the end of the XXXX year on XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX-Denied because missing CAO employment dates despite my copy of the submitted application having the dates and information all present. Plus denied because my XXXX is not listed on the low-income directory! I've checked the directory which shows my XXXX as well as this information being the exact opposite of the last denial reasoning. I don't know what to do. I make copies of my applications, I call, and email XXXX XXXX. The representatives pull up my application and are always at a loss as to why I was denied based on missing information. The issue regarding my XXXX not being listed is simply beyond me. I need help, please.

Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: I am a teacher trying to qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. XXXX XXXX promised to me on or about XX/XX/XXXX that by participating in the graduated payment plan, which ultimately required me to pay more money per month, that I would achieve loan forgiveness no later than XX/XX/XXXX. Additionally, XXXX XXXX placed a deferment on my loans when I did not request a deferment orally or in writing. Subsequent to that discussion, my loan servicing company, XXXX XXXX, was replaced with XXXX. Once XXXX took over the servicing obligations, I was told that XXXX XXXX gave incorrect advice and that XXXX would not honor the agreement entered into by XXXX XXXX, to wit : that by entering into the graduated payment plan, and paying more money per month than I would have otherwise, I would receive loan forgiveness by XX/XX/XXXX. Due to XXXX XXXX dishonesty and misleading conduct, and due to XXXX refusal to honor an agreement made regarding my loan, I have suffered the following harm : 1. I was deceived and coerced into making a higher monthly payment than I would have otherwise been required to make ; and 2. My loan forgiveness date was extended by at least 5 years, which means I am now making a higher monthly payment for a longer period of time ; and 3. I have had to seek the advice of counsel to address this issue, which has caused me to incur out of pocket expenses that but for the deceitful conduct of XXXX XXXX and XXXX, I would not have occurred. In short, I have made 120 payments that should have been qualifying, and I am now being told that half of my payments did not count for various reasons. Whenever I speak with XXXX customer service, they tell me that I am correct, and they do not know why I am not getting credit for most of the payments, but they are still not correcting the issue. They are now telling me that it takes up to a year to investigate these problems, when I should already have my loans cancelled in a couple of weeks. I have asked for these issues to be resolved several times a year for the past 5 years, but they have not been addressed. In fact, some of my loans are expected to take LONGER to repay, even though I have continued making on-time payments. When I sent them the above letter asking them to honor the loan forgiveness I was promised, the responded by sending me a list of my loans and their interest rates, which clearly did not address the issue.

Consumer Complaint: I have tried to work with XXXX XXXX to get my number of qualifying payments corrected. I had the Department of Education Ombudsman check the number of payments and XXXX XXXX XXXX did not correct the number. I have made more than the 120 qualifying payments but right now, they are showing I've made only 55 payments. Two years ago, they showed 47 payments made. These numbers are both wrong. I believe I've held up my end of agreement and want Fedloan Servicing to do their part. My Student Loans are over 25 years old. The original amount was {$40000.00}. I've paid more than {$100000.00} and still owe {$170000.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX University - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXX - XXXX in XXXX XXXX - XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Took out a student loan for XXXX University in XX/XX/XXXX for just that year to pick up courses. I was eventually charged over {$33000.00} for one year of online classes. I do not know how it became so expensive ; I did not sign for that much money. How is it possible to spend that much? I feel like I am being ripped off. I think the loan company is taking advantage of me and adding to my loan. I have been paying twice a month ( averaging {$400.00} per month ) since XX/XX/XXXX and it is still over {$20000.00}.

Issue: Struggling to repay your loan
Subissue: Problem lowering your monthly payments
Consumer Complaint: American Educational Services is now telling me that I can't lower my payments for this Private Loan. It is saying I'm not eligible to do so. I have been calling over and over since XX/XX/XXXX. I can't get hardship, forbearance I can't get anything. The problem with this one they are saying this payment is the lowest of XXXX. I have only paid XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX on this loan. There is no other way with my husband on XXXX and I only work for XXXX per hour it's not going to work and still be able to eat. The problem is with calls all the time from XXXX XXXX who is the lender, they are the worse in harassment to me and my mom who is XXXX years old and now I don't have that career job I was promised 10 years ago. I went back to school after loosing my business in XX/XX/XXXX and thought for sure I would get a good job by now, it's not happening. Not in our area. With the subprime housing market in XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX going out in our area it's forced alot of us baby boomers back to college trying to get a good job, but no jobs however we are still facing another hardship with college debt. XXXX XXXX keeps threatening to ruin my credit, my mother 's credit and they also say they will garnish my wages and my mom 's Social Security. I just can't believe they don't work with me on this. They call over and over again, writing letters and now I only have about 10 days they say before this all starts. Please please help!

Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer
Subissue: Received bad information about your loan
Consumer Complaint: I have federal loans serviced by American education Services. I recently did an audit of ALL my student loans and came across 2 loans that are not mine. The disbursement dates were XX/XX/XXXX, which is impossible since I graduated in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I requested documentation for these specific loans and all I received was my original consolidation application which was date stamped XX/XX/XXXX. These questionable loans are not on that application. I called AES every month to send me the documentation. I talked to supervisors and their supervisors ... no one could give me any good information. They sent me that same documentation 8 times! Finally, in XX/XX/XXXX one customer service representative told me to write a letter contesting the loans. So, I did and I did not receive one piece of mail or phone call associated with that letter. So, I continued to call and badger them until FINALLY some one with a brain told me I had to file FRAUD paper work. I received that FRAUD packet in XX/XX/XXXX. To be in compliance with their Fraud procedures ... I was required to send a copy of my passport, SS card, driver 's license, and two other documents that had my signature on them. I also had to file a police report and include it in my packet. Plus, I had to fill out the 5 page application on where I was living, who I was banking with at the time of the fraud. And get 3 of the pages notarized ( including a page of just my signatures ). It was an extensive process. In the instructions of the application it states that AES has 15 days to conduct the investigation. Well, after 15 business days I called to discuss the status of the application and they told me they have until XX/XX/XXXX to finish their investigation. Mean while, they put ALL my federal loans in Forbearance. That is not what I wanted at all! Only two of the loans are in question and I do not want my balances to accumulate interest. When I called to take my loans out of Forbearance. I was told to leave a message. And of course I did not receive a return phone call. This company is beyond IMCOMPETANT. I want these fake loans off my account and off my credit report since I have been paying for them since XX/XX/XXXX and they can not come up with any evidence that they are mine. I keep asking them ... how did I take out federal loans if I was not in school? This case needs to be escalated and they need to be accountable for their sloppy document control, bad customer service, and maybe even fraud.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern, This is the same complaint that I had a couple of years ago when I was trying to pay off a particular loan and was making payments. My balance was not going down and I got some XXXX response from this company. Again, Im making payments to pay off another loan and my balance is not going down. Where are my payments going? Do these people know what they are doing? I want a breakdown off all my payments made and what loans they are applied to since my balance is not decreasing when I make payments towards them. On XX/XX/XXXX made a payment towards a loan that had a balance of XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX the balance is still the same? Where is my payment that should have been applied? On XX/XX/XXXX another payment was made in the amount of XXXX. Now you would think that my balance is XXXX plus one months interest. NOPE ITS STILL {$2900.00}????? This company is defrauding me and the company should be investigated by the CFPB. This is an Unfair Deceptive Abusive Acts and Practice and they are pyramiding payments which is against Regulation AA.
