Consumer Complaint: Due to covid I am not working and have XXXX income. They put the loan into forbearance for three months however the first time did so after I paid one month, refunded me, said my account was past due after it was refunded and made me pay and refused to credit me the month so in essence they gave me two months forbearance. I havent received unemployment although Ive been trying for over 4 months now. I have begged them in multiple emails and explained my situation since XXXX and now they said theres no forbearance left and if Im late they will immediately report to my credit so I use much needed funds to pay. Please help. In this time with no income and being unable to work due to being immunocompromised I am shocked that a company is this heartless. Regular loans forbear at XXXX %. I do t even care about interest I just need a few months to catch up.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Account information incorrect

Consumer Complaint: Every time I was having difficulties making payments to this creditor I always communicated my issue and submitted the paperwork required for forbearance or deferment of payments for a period set by the creditor based off my circumstances. While this was often reflected on my credit report, there were few situations where the forbearance was not reported to the credit bureaus and instead was left on my credit report as 30, 60, 90,120 day lates or missed payments. I began submitting Disputes with all three credit reporting agencies on every quarter beginning XX/XX/XXXX. I employed a credit repair company in XXXX, at great expense, that also conducted credit disputes with all three credit reporting agencies regarding this account on my behalf ( Submitted on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. ) I wrote goodwill letters to the company Account Manager ( POC ), Regional manager and CEO requesting the changes be made to my payment history in good faith as I was paying what I could, whenever I could. As a returning XXXX Veteran of the XXXX XXXX, with the injuries ( physical and psychological ) I sustained during XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), I had difficulties in finding gainful employment the first few years after my return to civilian life which made fulfilling my student loan obligations impossible under the circumstances The company then changed internal policy to allow for issuance of post marked forbearance on accounts going back to XXXX of XXXX. I applied for the application of this policy regarding my missed payments and was told that my lates were ineligible because my late/missed payment were too early in XXXX, they were reported before XXXX of XXXX, the limit of where the post dated deferment would apply. I PAID IN FULL and closed the account last year under the condition that once the account was paid off that the past disputes I submitted would be addressed and the lates would be removed from my credit report. Now that the the account is closed and PAID IN FULL, I no longer have access to the digital correspondence between the company representatives and myself or the confirmation letters of forbearance/deferrment that were provided to make the requested adjustment to my payment history

Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer

Subissue: Received bad information about your loan

Consumer Complaint: I have been a public servant for twelve years since XX/XX/XXXX. I have made timely monthly payments through autopay during my employment as a public servant. Today XX/XX/XXXX I received a PSLF rejection letter because I have insufficient qualifying payments. However, I believe that I have made 120 payments and that I qualify for Temporary Expanded Public Service Loan Forgiveness. I have called FedLoan Servicing requesting records of all of my payments including the ones made to previous loan servicers. Despite many phone calls, I have not been able to obtain a comprehensive payment history. I was told pay history documents would be mailed to me but I have not received them. Today XX/XX/XXXX, I called FedLoan and was told by an employee that they could not give me any information regarding my total number of payments. I was told to contact my previous loan servicer to get information regarding payments made to them. The previous loan servicer no longer has information regarding my payments. I have applied for TEPSLF but I do not know the status of the application nor how many qualifying payments FedLoan has recorded.

Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer

Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled

Consumer Complaint: I am a XXXX and an employee of the XXXX XXXX XXXX ( SC XXXX ) I received acceptance into a XXXX XXXX loan repayment program called XXXX. This program is predicated upon me paying my student loans and then getting reimbursement year-end from the VA. The problem is my student loan servicer, American Educational Service ( AES ) keeps decreasing the monthly amount on my loans and not paying the balance we sent in and failing to notify us until after the fact. Now, without my consent or request, they have placed 2 of my student loans in " forbearance '' which will disqualify me from my loan repayment program. I have called and emailed them but they still have not taken the loans out. Decreasing my payment amount so the interest builds an I am indebted to them longer without my consent I consider predatory.

Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer

Subissue: Don't agree with the fees charged

Consumer Complaint: Recently in doing some research on the student loans in my name that are being serviced by Fed Loan Servicing. I learned that the loans are for a school by the name of XXXX University XXXX. I never signed an enrollment agreement with XXXX University XXXX nor did I ever sign or agree to become a former student of XXXX University. This seems like fraud to me. I do not wish to be associated with XXXX University and I never agreed to it. I do not understand how this is possible and how this legally has taken place. I do not understand why there are student loans listed under XXXX University in my name. I never agreed to this. I am requesting XXXX University XXXX to provide information stating that I agreed to be associated as a former or current student with this school. Before today I had no knowledge of any of this. I am requesting documentation with signatures that Fed Loan Servicing has the right to pursue loan payment from me for the school XXXX University XXXX. I do not wish to be affiliated with XXXX University XXXX. I never agreed to any enrollment or loans with XXXX University. Therefore Fed Loan Servicing must substantiate seeking loans associated with XXXX from me.
