Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Personal information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the lack of response and ongoing negligence shown by Trans Union in resolving discrepancies in my credit report. Despite my numerous attempts to rectify the situation, it has become evident that my concerns have been disregarded thus far. I have recently received a copy of my credit report. I discovered multiple errors in the personal identifiers section. These inaccuracies pose a significant threat to my identity and could potentially cause severe consequences if left unaddressed. Furthermore, I need to highlight the incorrect reporting of my Name and address. In addition, I strongly insist on the immediate elimination of any employers and phone numbers incorrectly associated with my credit report. I do not provide consent for any unverified or potentially outdated information about myself to be retained or reported. I understand that it is the responsibility of Trans Union to ensure the accuracy of the information provided to lenders and other stakeholders. The erroneous data currently present in my credit report is not only diminishing my financial opportunities but is also negatively impacting my chances of securing my financial freedom. I have attempted to address these concerns through various communication channels, including letters, phone calls, and online submissions, but Trans Union has failed to respond to any of my inquiries. This unresponsiveness has left me feeling ashamed, embarrassed, and frustrated, as I am unable to rectify these inaccuracies promptly. As a responsible consumer, it is my duty to bring this matter to your attention as the competent authority within Trans Union. I kindly request your immediate intervention to ensure the verification and removal of all the inaccuracies mentioned above within the shortest possible time frame. Please understand that time is of the essence in resolving these issues. I urge you to take immediate action to correct my credit report so that I can regain control over my financial standing.
