Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have a couple of issues with my account that needs immediate attention. The first issue was ignited after speaking with credit counseling services. They told me that I needed to hurry up and make payments before interested attaches to my account. His statement was not accurate and really frustrated me because my promotional expiration date was for 60 months. I dont understand how that could have possibly changed because thats what I signed up for during my initial purchase at XXXX. Not to mention its on my XXXX / XXXX statement ( which I have attached ). My Second issue has to do with how my payments have been applied to my account. If you look at my XXXX / XXXX statement and compare it to my XXXX / XXXX statement under SUMMARY of Promotional and Standard Balances you will see that Credit Plan # XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX are still somewhat close to what the outstanding balances were in XXXX. Which is odd because there is no interest on these items and they should have all been paid off by now. Especially being that I open this account back in XXXX of XXXX. In addition to that, when you look at the promotion expiration dates on the two statements. My XXXX / XXXX statement states that my promotion ends in year XXXX but my XXXX / XXXX statement says my promotion ended XXXX of XXXX ( which is inaccurate ). Unfortunately, I couldnt go back any further to gather more information due to the limitations of XXXX

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Fee problem
Consumer Complaint: TD Bank keeps charging me overdraft fees for things that have not been paid out yet ( the charge is still pending ) They also charge me overdraft fees out of order of occurrence. They post transactions out of order, giving me a false sense of account balance. Then they retro date transactions and take their fees and throw my account into overdraft. So any transaction that I make before they take their fees is now in overdraft after they take the fee because it is retroactively dated and pushed every transaction after that back as if it weren't enough money in the account when there was at the time of transaction.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I called in TDBank for support for disputing a charge. Call attendant said to called again at another time when charge gets posted officially, refusing to help to dispute charge or leave instructions to dispute later, requiring me to call again. On XX/XX/XXXX, called in twice, both call attendants refusing to help. On first called, the call attendant refused to help after 5 questions of authentication and refused to get me help, wasted 20 minutes. On second call after an hour of wait, attendant said the account is locked and refused to help on my charge dispute. There's no consumer protection at TDBank to help dispute erroneous charges. There's a setup to deter and discourage customer complaints. For three calls in total, a strange run-around setup and can't get anything done. Please provide heavy fines for this corrupt institution. Do not use TDBank.

Issue: Managing the loan or lease
Subissue: Billing problem
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to dispute a report made by TD Auto Finance to the creditors regarding a late payment on my account made on XX/XX/19. This was a result of a technical issue on their website with the setup of autopay which Im still attempting to get resolved with TD Auto Finance customer service. I've encountered what appears to be a technical issue on their website while when applying a payment, the payment is applied to the Principle only and not my monthly payments. This resulted in a late payment being applied to my account for {$5.00} on XX/XX/19 which was reported to all credit agencies essentially lowering my score some XXXX points. From XXXX -> XXXX ( XXXX/XXXX ). I've tried several times to resolve with TD Auto Finance yet they still only apply my payment to the principle and not my monthly payment. I'm then forced to call customer service and then have then manually reverse and reapply to my monthly. At the time of the reported late incident I had both the funds in my account and every intention to pay to avoid incidents such as this. As this was the results of some technical issue with the site, I'd like to submit this complaint. Thank you for reading. XXXX XXXX

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Card opened as result of identity theft or fraud
Consumer Complaint: This is a followup with my complaint about TD Bank. They have admitted to having a system wherein they accept larger pending payments on their overdraft accounts first and thereby make it more likely for many small payments such as coffee payments to slam customers such as 15 small purchases of say XXXX each or XXXX costing a customer about {$500.00} in overdraft by design rather than say {$35.00}. Being dishonest about account balances is another tactic used by TD such as withholding monthly fee charges from account balances and charging these fees at right time so that a customer with overdraft is charged hundreds for many small pending charges. Designed internally to maximize massively costly charges to people and even planned and timed to accomplish. Recently an executive named Ms XXXX XXXX and have not received information about where to send the fraud dispute for unauthorized use of my TD credit card in 2014. No cooperation, transparency, or good faith.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Card opened as result of identity theft or fraud
Consumer Complaint: I am the victim of identity theft and several credit cards were opened using my personal information. I have filed a police report several times as a result of fraudulent accounts being established in my name without my knowledge. One store credit card in particular that was opened with TD Bank/Target was opened up online using my personal information. I have tried several times to resolve this issue with TD Bank/Target, but they have refused to accept my police report and identity theft affidavit. They have not provided any proof that shows that I was the individual that opened this account other than stating that payments were made. The credit card was charged up to {$350.00} at Target. I have provided TD Bank/Target with all my identification, proof of residence, police report as well as an identity theft affidavit used by their fraud department. They have refused to help me resolve this issue despite all of the documentation that I have provided.

Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I am having trouble getting proof that I paid off a credit card that went into collections, and it is prohibiting me from getting a home loan, as the letter that I have from the collections agency is apparently not good enough. I paid the account off through the collection agency in XX/XX/2019 ( please see the attached ), and when I went to have my home loan people run my credit through XXXX ( their credit vendor ) and do a Rapid Rescore to have the balance reflect at a Bureau level, and they informed me that the documentation needed to come from TARGET themselves. I called TARGET and they informed me the account was no longer held with them and provided me a number to call to get further information ; the phone number was for the Law Office ( that I had originally spoken to in order to pay it off ). So then I called TD BANK and they informed me that they no longer had the account either.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Problem with fees
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX we purchased furniture from XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Nv on a credit card interest free contract with TD Bank Retail Card Services. When i received the bill I noticed charges were more than the sale price. XXXX refused to do anything about it. So, rather than fight with them I took the balance due, divided by the months that I had to pay off before interest would be accrued less one month to insure it would be paid off by due date. That came to {$75.00} a month as of statement balance on XXXX of {$1500.00}. Due date to pay off before interest accrued is XX/XX/XXXX. I set up auto payments with my bank to pay on second wednesday of every month to insure that payment would be received before the XXXX due date on statement. I received a letter from TD retail card services informing me that I owed XXXX more on my next payment plus {$83.00} minimum payment. I called them and they said because my payment was XXXX short of the {$83.00} required each month they charged me XXXX fee. The rep did say that it wasn't a late fee because they did receive my payment on time. The fee was because my payment was short by {$8.00}. They charged me this fee for two months. The rep was very rude and would not reverse the charges and she then said that they required XXXX a month. By requiring this amount of payment they are actually shortening my contract by three months!! Statement balance without fees as of This is fraud at its best. Instead of my contract having a due date of XX/XX/XXXX they are collecting to pay off contract by XX/XX/XXXX. This is a breach of contract!!! How can they be allowed to do such illegal practices? Because you are a government entitiy, I hope you will look into this matter. This is illegally changing a contract to their likings and advantage. This is criminal.

Consumer Complaint: Target XXXX XXXX added my name without my knowledge or consent on my wife 's credit card account as an authorized user. I discovered this transaction after I was denied credit and obtained a copy of my credit report. Target XXXX XXXX reported the following delinquencies to all 3 credit reporting agencies : 30 day delinquencies on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. They also reported 60 day delinquencies on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX along with a 90 day delinquency XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX my wife XXXX XXXX, my XXXX XXXX and myself conferenced called Target XXXX XXXX. My wife requested Target to revoke my signing authority and I requested them to correct my credit reports. Target said the credit history on my credit file would remain the same. I them asked them to provide me with a document that had my signature either acknowledging or authorizing the transaction and they could not produce one. Subsequently I asked Target to send me a copy of a letter disclosing to me that I was added as an authorized user on my wife 's account. I was told no letter would have been generated for this transaction. I am self employed and the negative reporting has affected my ability to obtain credit and has put severe limitations for terms on purchases from my suppliers. I am in the process of filing disputes with XXXX, XXXX and XXXX and have already contacted an attorney regarding this matter. My attorney advised me to file a complaint with CFPB.
