Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/2022 I visited Sams Club on XXXX XXXX in XXXX Arizona, I used the self check out around XXXXXXXX XXXX. I lifted the hand scanner and scanned my membership card. A Sams Club female XXXX middle aged woman approached me. The Sams Club employee pointed at the self check screen and said : " Wow, look. You have been pre- APPROVED for a Sams Card! '' I said, excuse me? She said you see that- she pointed to the screen again, she said : " I don't see that too often. You are pre approved and can get up to 30 % off todays purchase! '' I mentioned I did not want anything like an inquiry on my credit report ( I am rebuilding my credit ) The Sams Club employee told me : " Oh no, this is already done. She started to push locations on the screen and told me Go ahead and fill this in so we can get it finalized. This is the part I look away for privacy '' She turned her head and put her hand above her eyes. I was excited, I finally did it, I am getting a card- I thought. once I hit the submit button, it states " Sams Club will be sending you a letter in the mail within 7- 10 business days '' the employee said, " Ahhhh, yeah, it does that sometimes! '' and started to walk away. I said, I didn't want to apply and have an inquiry- but she kept walking. I stood looking in disbelief. Sure enough, I receive a declined letter for credit with Sams Club and another from Synchrony Bank. My credit score decreased 23 points for the inquiry!!! I did email a message the way Sams Club asks you to on their website, only a minimum amount of letters allowed to type. I have uploaded their response which they state this has been resolved and for me to contact Synchrony Bank. I have responded Their EMPLOYEE lied to me, and misguided me, they can check their surveillance camera for that day!! I asked if they offer incentives to employees for having customers apply for credit??? Because if so, I am sure this employee has tricked others just to benefit herself. The EMPLOYEE needs to be reprimanded and I would like an apology letter so I can dispute the inquiry on my credit reports.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I settled my JCPenney MasterCard Account with XXXX XXXX XXXX The Balance at the time was {$5500.00} and we settled at {$2200.00} over 24 monthly payments. We sent a total of 19 monthly payments from XX/XX/XXXX all the way through XX/XX/XXXX ( total of {$1500.00} ) and then in XX/XX/XXXX we received notice that XXXX XXXX could no longer honor the settlement because they no longer had it in their office. This obviously made no sense to me because we had an arrangement in place that was taken care of and then out of nowhere it's no longer in place? That is incredibly unfair! I tried reaching out to XXXX XXXX but they told me they could not do anything and that it was Synchrony Bank 's decision to " recall '' the account.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/22 Received a letter from synchrony bank that a person was trying to open a Lowe 's credit product and they needed additional information to verify identity. It was mailed to our address but addressed to a different person 's name. We do not know this person. XX/XX/22 I called synchrony bank to report that the person was using an incorrect address. Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: There are a few things, applying payments and fees associated with them not applying my payment. As well, I never received anything telling me my due date so paid the card with Synchrony Bank as I did my other account, for the first of the month. I also have no idea what my interest rate is. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a reminder to pay my XXXX account with Synchrony and found that odd as I had done it. I logged in to see there was no payment applied. however, the payment was debited from my checking account. Synchrony applied the payment for XXXX to Care Credit, resulting in 2 payments to Care Credit and none to XXXX. when I contacted them they said they would look into it. I sent them proof yet they still notified me that they could not verify the payment. I also complained about not receiving anything telling me what my due date was and that I just made my monthly payments, only to discover they were applying late fees every month except for the first payment - guess I just got lucky. However, after I complained, they then lowered my credit limit, and not that it matters as I will be paying off that account and closing it, but it appears retaliatory. This has been going on for over 1 month
