Consumer Complaint: I made a substantial payment of {$5300.00} to Synchrony Bank ( Care Credit ) in XX/XX/XXXX. Thereafter, a non-promotional charge of {$350.00} appeared on my balance. I immediately called to rectify the discrepancy and have been advised that it would take up to 60 days to resolve. Several supervisors have subsequently reviewed the account and agreed that the charge should not be reflected on my account and adjusted. I have also been charged interest each month for the non-promotional balance ( I have never made a non-promotional purchase ). As of XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with a supervisor and was told that it would take another 60 days to resolve. She said once the account is accurately reflected, the amount will be updated and any interest removed. The Bill is with " Synchronicity Bank '' on XXXX letterhead yet when I called them I was lectured on '' Credit Card Reality and the Real World '' by an assistant to the person I usually deal with. Restating : Why am I being charged XXXX $ for being one day late? charging me for being late on Two payments? I guess they say the XXXX Payment was processed to XXXX as a Late payment then The XXXX payment was considered late and are now charging me for that as well even though I made that Payment.Makes no sense?

Consumer Complaint: REFERENCE # XXXX | I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the recent denial of my application for the Sam 's Club XXXX XXXXXXXX, issued by Synchrony Bank. I recently received a denial notice citing " Insufficient Credit from trade references '' as the reason for rejection. I must vehemently object to this reason, as it is not only inaccurate but also a clear violation of my rights under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act ( ECOA ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). Both statutes mandate fair and accurate reporting, as well as the provision of equal opportunity for credit. Furthermore, I would like to bring to your attention that the denial notice provided to me did not comply with the requirements set forth in 15 USC 1611 and 15 USC 1681m of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The notice not only failed to identify the source of the information used in making the adverse decision but also neglected to disclose the name and address of the consumer reporting agency ( CRA ) that provided the report. These omissions are direct violations of federal law, which mandates that consumers be informed of the sources and CRAs providing information that adversely affects their credit applications. My credit history spans over a decade, with an impeccable record of on-time payments across various trade references, both on my business credit profile and personal credit profile. This includes a flawless track record of never missing a single payment. Therefore, the claim of insufficient credit is unfounded and contradicts the information present in my credit reports ( false information ), which according to 28 U.S. Code 4101 is clear defamation of my character and also illegal.

Consumer Complaint: I have a Care Credit account that I used to get some dental work done last summer, and I have been paying the minimum amount due every month on auto-pay. I did not look at the app to see my bill because I just assumed that my minimum payments were going toward my balance ( the minimum payment amount I am paying was the figure Care credit gave me not a figure I made up ), so I didn't check it. I went to see what the balance was and it is almost XXXX more them the amount I used for the dental work, because they are tacking on fees every month. One fee is for card security which I never set up, and the other is an interest charge on purchases, but I have not made purchases, they are charging me an interest charge on previous interest charges. I got care credit almost 15 years ago when I had dental work done. My dentist 's receptionist is the person who filled out the application, so I never saw the application nor was any of their caveats explained to me at the time other than the fact that it was going to absorb the cost of the service. I could pay it off over time, so the initial application was never actually seen by me, and the way it was explained to me is that that was a totally normal way of applying for this service. Jump to last summer I needed to up my limit for the dental work which was done via the app and again there wasn't any thing that fully explained how they were going to be using the fees or that they would be charging me fees that would exceed the monthly amount that they set up as the minimum payment. My minimum payment is {$100.00} and the fees are XXXX for interest on purchases ( again there have not been any purchases just them charging interest on their own interest charges ) and a security fee that I never requested or signed up for that is apparently XXXX for every XXXX I owe so it is up to XXXX now. Just those 2 fees alone exceed the minimum due amount, which again they set. I feel this is deeply predatory, and evidently so do MANY other people as a quick google search will show the MANY court cases and grievances other people have with Care Credit,

After paying my monthly payments of {$200.00} per month ( XXXX XXXX ) for 24 months with a total of {$4800.00} paid, I was insure that the interest payment would not be applied if the monthly payments were satisfied. I received my first bill XXXX indicating that the interest occurred payment was due. The bill I received after the initial purchase was for the interest owed on this purchase. I never received a monthly bill or email about the terms, or the remaining payments before interest would be applied. I would have paid for this purchase in full if I was notified. Consumer Complaint: I just noticed that each month on the Care Credit card statement there is a charge of {$160.00} for XXXX XXXX. I asked the card company what this was and they said it was an optional service that was offered by another company. They gave me the telephone number to call. I spoke with a representative, XXXX, who said that this service was initiated when we first applied for the card and it was approved electronically. I requested that proof of this application for this service be supplied and she said she could not email it, that it will be mailed in XXXX business days. When I asked what we should do if we don't get it she said to call back and request again. I demanded that this service be immediately terminated as it was not authorized. She continued to say that it was a part of the application submitted. There is no way that we would have signed up for this and everything I have read shows that it is a deceptive practice imbedded in the application that many people fall prey to.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX I traveled to JC Penny to pay {$1000.00} towards my {$1400.00} balance. I was so excited that I was finally making progress towards paying my credit card off. The clerk was happy for me as well, after making the {$1000.00} cash payment I left JC Penny feeling happy. It was after I checked my email that day that my smile vanished in an instance. That email was from Synchrony Bank whom I've filed a complaint against in 2014. This recent email stated I had not paid my JC Penny credit card and that I was being charged a late fee. Livid I immediately contacted Synchrony bank, I was given the runaround by several agents. I was told the {$1000.00} payment went towards my Master Card. I was shocked to say the least because I never applied for any Master Card with JC Penny. Synchrony bank opened a Master Card in my name without my permission. As a former victim of Identity theft I am very, very hurt by Synchrony banks action. This situation has caused me a tremendous amount of stress. it is my opinion that I am being discriminated against because of my race. I am very, very hurt by the discriminatory business practices by Synchrony bank, I would like this company to be investigated for stealing my identity and opening up a Master Card without my knowledge.
