Consumer Complaint: This complaint is 2 fold. 1 ) I have been getting getting notices from Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing stating that I am 3 months behind on paying my mortgage. The payment has been automatically deducted from my checking account every month at the same time. This has negatively affected my credit. 2 ) I have provided insurance coverage for my properties on several occasions, my XXXX agent has also sent them the cover sheet. Shellpoint continues to state that they do not have evidence of insurance and is charging me {$620.00} for each of my XXXX properties. My insurance from Farmer 's is {$820.00} for all XXXX properties per year.

I have gotten approved for a homestead exemption for {$20000.00} less than last year from XXXX County Tax Appraiser office and my home owner 's insurance has not increased.

Consumer Complaint: I fell behind on my mortgage when the XXXX went through an economic collapse. I have tried to work things out with my servicer but got no cooperation. I was forced into bankruptcy because the current servicer ShellPoint refused to offer assistant for me to keep my home. I submitted all paperwork for a loan modification to ShellPoint Mortgage earlier this year. I qualified for the program. During that time, ShellPoint pretended not to get the paperwork. After stalling for months, ShellPoint approved some type of trial plan that has mystery terms that they do not disclose. I have been forced to make payments on a trial plan and this servicer has not disclosed the new principal balance and interest rate. I was hoping for a reduced principal balance but I believe that this servicer is discriminating against me because of my XXXX background. To this date, ShellPoint has not given me a chance to save my home.

Consumer Complaint: I am a third party authorization for my client that has a mortgage with Shell Point as servicer. They have been very difficult and today they have countered my client {$670000.00} when their payoff including late fees and penalty is {$630000.00}. I have an offer into them at {$630000.00} which nets Shell Point {$600000.00}. They proceeded to foreclose months ago at {$590000.00}. The second with XXXX XXXX is waiting for first lien approval for them to approve {$3000.00}. Shell Point wo n't consider any other offer but {$670000.00}. They told me today they will not go back to the investor for anything less than {$670000.00}. I think they do n't know what they are doing and need help explaining to them anything over the XXXX lien goes to the XXXX lien. Shell Point has a credit balance in the escrow account for taxes and insurance. The investor is XXXX XXXX XXXX and I am sure they would rather be paid than be foreclosed on. There are lots of complaints about Shell Point. I need you to explain the legal process to them to close this contract.

Consumer Complaint: Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, OH XXXX Phone : XXXX I wrote Shellpoint by USPS on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX about a lower APR on the XXXX XXXX XXXX property and they called me, but did not offer a lower rate. I wrote them again on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX about correcting the maturity date on the same property and received no phone or written reply : There has been an error in the maturity date of 30 years from XXXX of my two first mortgages. I live at XXXX XXXX and my son lives at XXXX XXXX. Please send me the following information for each of the two loans ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, OH XXXX account # XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Oh XXXX account # XXXX ) : The house my son lives in, account # XXXX, still has the original APR rate from the origination XXXX date and never received H.A.R.M. Since the terms and monthly payments did not change, the maturity date of XXXX should not have changed either. Why is the maturity date XXXX and I have already paid 11 years on this loan? The house I live in, account # XXXX, received a new APR through H.A.R.M. and the monthly payments did change. I thought the maturity date would be XXXX and not XXXX since I had already paid a significant amount on the mortgage since XXXX. I have been retired since XXXX. I am XXXX years old and my mortgages have the sharecropper effect of never being paid off. I do not want to pass away and never truly own my home nor leave my son debt strapped with mortgages. I purchased the XXXX XXXX XXXX home in XXXX with the original maturity date of XXXX. I purchased the XXXX home in XXXX by using my XXXX home. Please explain why the XXXX maturity dates of both homes did not maintain their original maturation date ( especially the XXXX home ). When will the errors in the maturity dates be adjusted ( especially the XXXX home since its APR, terms, and payments never changed from XXXX like the XXXX home changed in XXXX )?

Consumer Complaint: After an unsuccessful foreclosure mediation which resulted in Certificate to foreclose was issued ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX respectively ) we requested a review and approval of a loan modification. From the original modification request, we have submitted the lender 's documentation request always in a timely manner. The lack of communincation with our lender negotiator caused the documentation we submitted each time to go stale and cause the lender to request the same information over and over again as if the underwriter never received what we submited or received it later than we provided it. Now we are faced with Foreclosure Sale Date on XX/XX/XXXX. We have submitted a new modificationm request and when we contact the lender for a confirmation of the documents it is confirm the documents are in review then we call the next day and something else is requested. All of which was already provided. Since we are still receiving the inconsistencies that we dealt with for the past year, we feel very worried that the loan modication package review will not be given the allotted time needed to request a postponement. As such we are reaching out the you in the hopes that our file will be reviewed in enough time to request the postponement. Through the whole year that we have gone back and forth with the lender and the documentation request process not once were we declined the mod due to the financial/hardship status, etc it was because of documents not received on time which baffles us. It seems that all of the documentation request we received advising a decision should be made in 5-10 business days or 7-20 business days ( info stated in document confirmation letters received from lender ) that after a year worth of this back and for we would have had a decision by now which would have not led us to our home risking a foreclosure.m

Consumer Complaint: for the past XXXX years we have been going arund and aroun with shellpoint mortg we applied for a loan mod denied becouse i do n't make enough money for a loan mod so finally we got a agrement pay 6 payments on time and you will get it we did it flaulessly 5 months later still nothing mailed then the letter comes saying all the items are out of date so we update it and go again now we got a call from loss letigation that the docs r on there way approved after weeks and weeks and 40 or 50 calls we get papers to sighn and return we r happy until they say the notary republic did it wrong which was untrue so we sighn and noterize again now we call and get updates and all is good even though we get letter that they never received our docs but we call they say its all done docs r on way well we get envelope from them with a letter and a app to start a loan mod i will attach these letters

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX who I thought I had mortgage with was sold to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and the mortgaging service company Shellpoint took over the servicing of loan. I have been with them a year, and early on they over charged us, then did not pay taxes for XXXX and now again they are two months late with paying my taxes for XXXX. Clearly my credit will be affected if taxes are not paid. I asked if I could switch mortgage servicing companies and was told that I could n't or I had to refinance, which is not an option for me right now. Please advise Is this true?

Consumer Complaint: My mother 's home was full paid and she applied for a mortgage in XXXX her only steady monthly income at the time was SSA benefits. She received the mortgage with payments of about $ 700/month. She passed away in XXXX and I have been trying to assume the mortgage since her passing. Complications arose from the beginning with the mortgage company not responding to the request ( multiple requests were sent for assistance ) ; there was multiple mortgage service providers ; dealing with the death of my mother and my own health and financial issues. The last company holding the mortgage again either did n't respond to requests for assumption application or repeatedly asked for the same information multiple times EVEN after acknowledging they had the information. The amount owed on notices were different, the POC changed multiple times ; notices were not being sent to the proper mailing address. The mortgage company took it upon themselves to change the mailing address. The mortgage company and the servicing provider even gave the neighborhood housing counselor a hard time in responding to requests and acknowledging information receipts.

I FOLLOW-UP WITH THE SERVICER WEEKLY FOR STATUS. AFTER ABOUT 30 DAYS, I RECEIVE A LETTER ADVISING ME TO SEND ALL DOCUMENTS AGAIN AND COMPLETE ANOTHER APPLICATION. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE. THERE HAS BEEN NO WRITTEN DECISION - RATHER JUST AN INVITATION TO SHORT-SELL MY PROPERTY. SHELLPOINT IS NOT REALLY INTERESTED IN PROVIDING MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE.
