Issue: Getting a loan or lease
Subissue: High-pressure sales tactics
Consumer Complaint: My loan interest rate is 24.9. In Tn I believe the max rate should be less then 24.00. The car sales man told me a different date at signing I was young and didn't have an adult to come and supervise me as I purchased my car. Santander bank is taking hidden fees and I can show you a payment history on my loan to prove it. I call and they don't know how to explain. My credit score was not bad at the time I got my car I just don't understand why I will be stuck with this loan for the rest of my life.

Issue: Communication tactics
Subissue: Frequent or repeated calls
Consumer Complaint: I keep getting a call from XXXX XXXX. Today at XXXX XXXX was the latest. They are spoofing the caller ID to reflect that they are a Cell caller from MA. The number is XXXX. I feel this is a deceptive practice and they should be fined for using this tactic. When they started to go into their Collector speech, I hung up. They want to verify information that I do not want to give them.

Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Consumer Complaint: In the year 2017, I was taking a look at cars through " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX '' and I realized the company ran my credit through financing companies I did not know about or ask for. The only thing I requested was for them to run my credit through XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2017. The companies they applied for ( without me knowing ) left me with a lower credit score. Hard inquires will stay on my credit report for about 2 years but I would like the freedom to be able to apply for more credit without deducting too many points from my score. I am very mad that they did that to me without my consent. My complaint is that I would like the following Hard inquires removed from my credit report : -XXXX XXXX XXXX, XX/XX/2017 -XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2017 XXXX, XX/XX/2017 - XXXX XXXX, XX/XX/2017 2017

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: In 2016 I filed numerous disputes with XXXX XXXX XXXX, Santander consumer USA, and XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX regarding an account that is very old. Not only is the information they are providing incorrect, ie status, history etc, but they are ONLY reporting negative information and none of the positive info. They failed to respond to one dispute within 30 days and did nothing, sending me a letter stating that they dont need to respond to every dispute or something to that effect, and all of the other disputes were verified as accurate which they are not. Even IF, and it is not, but even IF the information was accurate, they are ONLY reporting negative info which i believe to be a violation based on information provided by this website.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Loan balance remaining after the vehicle is repossessed and sold
Consumer Complaint: I purchased XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2013, the car was valued at {$20000.00} before my down payment. I had the car a total of 5 years, towards the beginning of the 5th year the care was repossessed and determined that I still owed {$15000.00}. I spoke with a rep who sent me over a break down of payments. All but 5 payments went to principle only. As of today the car is still repossessed however the bank now sates that I owe {$17000.00}. After speaking to someone to determine why the balance was still so high, she stated that she didn't know. I do not agree that all the money I have paid over the past 5 years should not have gone towards my principle.

Consumer Complaint: I have submitted proof with written documentation and recorded conversations where I was specifically told dates to get a payment in and also had three deferred agreements where XXXX stated the payment would show on time. As seen in the documentation it shows my payments yet they are still reporting late payments on my account.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Investigation took more than 30 days
Consumer Complaint: Back in XX/XX/2015 I had a conversation with a representative to agree to allow me to settle this account and once I pay the XXXX on the promise to pay date they will FORGIVE the remaining portion ; considered my account as settled ; adjust their records to reflect the settlement ; settled for less than full balance. Santander DID NOT do any of these statements per promised. They are still reporting this as a DERAGOTORY and as a CHARGE-OFF which they stated in these documentations that they will FORGIVE all balances once I pay the required amount. ( Please review documents I sent to verify these statements please )
