Consumer Complaint: Portfolio recovery 's alleged debt, was disputed under ID theft, in 2017, at all three bureaus : XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX. I wrote them a certified letter requesting the validation of the debt, in accordance with FDCPA guidelines. They did not respond but continued to report the debt. They sent me a letter threatening legal action, and asking me not to respond if the debt was not mine ; Portfolio did none of the remedies provided by law under ID theft. They placed my numbers in call scammer and dialers. They ran my credit 5 times in the last year, without a debt, but rather with an alleged debt XXXX XXXX XXXX.
