Consumer Complaint: I started disputing this company in XXXX of XXXX into XXXX and this alleged debt has been affecting my credit. The debt collector hasn't provided proof that the alleged debt belongs to me. This is the 4th time this debt was sold after proving that this alleged debt isnt mine due to the companys insufficient proof and a copy of a printout bill isnt proof this is affecting my ability to get a new home. I don't know why I'm being treated like this.

Consumer Complaint: This company is trying to collect a debt for XXXX that Ive already paid directly TO XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have sent them proof of the settlement with XXXX countless times telling them to stop contacting me for this account. Hey they have been calling me, my workplace and my parents. Its absolutely relentless what this company is doing. I contacted XXXX XXXX and asked them to send me proof of the settlement which I then forwarded the proof to portfolio. In ALL of my letters I demand that they stop communicating with me via telephone and they do not stop!!! If this account is not removed I will be contacting an attorney for the many violations they have done.

They did not provide me with the original credit application as I ask. Portfolio Recovery respond back that they had completed our investigation of your dispute concerning this account. Portfolio Recovery never did a proper investigation, In accordance with Fair Credit Reporting everything has to be 100 % accurate on my credit report, how is that possible if the date open is inaccurate, last report date, date last active? They also violated the law because according to 15 U.S.C. 1681 section 602 A. States I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions, I did not give anybody written instructions.

Consumer Complaint: Received a settlement offer on a credit card account and sent payment XX/XX/2021. The money order was not accepted so it was to my understanding that the debt was not owed anymore. Portfolio Recovery checked my credit profile and said that they were now the owners of the debt after XX/XX/2021 after the payment was already made to XXXX XXXX ( the original debt buyer ) portfolio damaged my credit worthiness in relatiation to me stating that they didn't report on my credit profile prior to our conversation. This has done extreme damage to my ability to seek employment and other forms of credit. I would never imagine a business would be vindictive in a time where everyone is suffering due to the current situation we find ourselves in with covid 19 and a weak economy they see as a time to capitalize on misfortune.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is regarding account information below that has not been investigated and no information given. Its been over 2 months with no information given to me regarding these accounts. I have no knowledge of these companies and they shouldnt be reporting as I never gave permission for the reporting per Section 1681a -I sent correspondence to the Credit Bureaus regarding this. I was never notified in writing per 15 U.S.C 1692ag prior to accounts being on my credit report, within 5 days. Moreover, these accounts violate debt collections, abusive and unfair practices per section 1692f ( 1 ) adding additional amounts.
