This original credit account was opened in my name it is fraudulent and has never belonged to me. After multiple attempts to contact and dispute this account due to identity theft there has still been no resolution. Unfortunately, this has left me no choice but to file a complaint with with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. To resolve the problem, I would like to demand that this fraudulent account and collection be removed from my credit report as it is identity theft. The company responds via letter dated XX/XX/XXXX by sending me a one ( 1 ) page response informing me of when they purchased this debt, but no supporting information such as 1 ) First date of Delinquency 2 ) Sumary of Account Activity 3 ) Contractual Agreements How can you deny that the information you are suppose to investigate from an electronic file, be accurate, without providing the consumer the information that " you '' have reviewed? I sent them a second letter on XX/XX/XXXX, with the same request as I did in XX/XX/XXXX. They responded on XX/XX/XXXX likewise with no tangible or authenticated information for me to review and assess if this debt truly belongs to me.
