Consumer Complaint: my account is overdrawn because they paid a charge to XXXX when I did not have overdraft. Why did they do this? I called the customer service line was on hold for over 30 minutes when I spoke to someone who was of no help. I send email to PNC and received a call from someone who said they will keep an eye on the account and call me back - I never received a call back. The charged had dropped off my account and magically reappeared not sure why.

Consumer Complaint: We have been getting an unauthorized charge from XXXX since XX/XX/2020 and PNC Bank will not help resolve the issue. In fact they just collude with the vendor. We contacted XXXX several times and they say they can not help without an account number. We gave PNC the transaction information listed on our checking account statement and request additional information about the charge. PNC 's reply was exactly the same information we gave to them, that is just what was listed on our statement and nothing additional. We requested the reversal of a charge and PNC then replied that their information showed the charge was correct. So only having the date and amount is all that is required to deny a refund. PNC 's despicable conduct would allow all thieves free access to all money. Additionally, the debit card being charged has expired yet PNC continues to pay with an expired card for transactions we want stopped.

Issue: Opening an account
Subissue: Account opened as a result of fraud
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I pulled my XXXX and found that an account was opened at PNC Bank with my SSN on XX/XX/XXXX. I immediately reached out to PNC and advised as to what had occurred and they completed a XXXX XXXX report and would have the report sent to the fraud team to have the account immediately shut down. When I called back to obtain status I was told it was all set. I proceeded to ask questions to determine how this could happen and to find out additional information for the police report i.e where was the account opened, was it done online, at a branch what type of information was used to open the account they immediately advised I was not allowed to receive this information. HELLO, it's my SSN and YOU opened the account with fraudulent documentation. I immediately reached out to XXXX to determine if an inquiry was made and nothing. I also asked if i would get anything from them advising that the account had been closed and a full fraud investigation was conducted and i was met with an immediate no. The only thing that was done was a XXXX inquiry with XXXX. Which also played a part in allowing this to happen as they should have had a security alert on file since XX/XX/XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I booked a trip through a solo traveling group, XXXX for XXXX of 2020. I paid {$3100.00} to XXXX through my PNC bank. The company cancelled the trip due to COVID and offered no refund but only credit for future travel. I reached out several times with no response but when I finally reached a refund department, I was told they filed bankruptcy and were unable to provide a refund but did provide me with steps to contact my bank ( PNC ) to dispute the payment because according to the Fair Credit Billing Act, I have the right to claim a refund when the service was not received due to company bankruptcy. I gathered my emails, credit notes, booking receipts, and email from XXXX who is representing XXXX who now is under new ownership and still running solo trips... weird. I filed a claim to PNC bank and was denied. They are not willing to work with me, refund the money, and redirect me to anyone who can help me. I am willing to share any additional information you may need and am appreciative for any guidance, suggestions, or at least to document this for others to see so that no one else has to go through this same situation with XXXX or PNC bank.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Funds not handled or disbursed as instructed
Consumer Complaint: I recently received funds from a family member through XXXXXXXX XXXX of {$60.00}. I routinely instantly transfer the funds from my XXXX XXXX to my PNC Bank account including a fee. Today XX/XX/2022 at XXXX, I transferred {$59.00} into my PNC account. But yet I never saw the funds reflect, I called both XXXX XXXX XXXX team and PNC customer service dept. XXXX XXXX team verified all transfer steps stating that the status is cleared which means the funds were sent. PNC Bank associates claimed it may have been a glitch on their end and that is not acceptable. I was paying for food a moment ago before my card declined for no funds. Now PNC is launching an investigation to locate the funds. This has never happen before being quite strange knowing that I transfer money to my PNC Bank account all the time.

Issue: Applying for a mortgage or refinancing an existing mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I applied with PNC Bank to refinance my mortgage at a 2.1 interest rate. Four months into the application process I asked to terminate the application process because I felt that I was being harassed and discriminated against. At the beginning of the application process, I gave Pnc all documents they required to start the application process. They sent out an appraiser to appraise the house who appraised the house for a lessor amount than I felt that the house would appraise for. PNC advised me that because my house did not appraise for what I had thought they countered a different offer than the initial 2.1 % and closing cost. Which was a 2.67 % with closing cost. I was told that 20 % of my existing loan should be paid down to reflect that 20 % of what the house was appraised for should be paid for me to be elicitable for the 2.1 % interest rate. So, I agreed to the counteroffer of 2.67 with closing cost. PNC then advised me because it was past a certain time frame, they would have to recheck my credit. I agreed to allow PNC to recheck my credit. After they checked my credit, I was given a counteroffer for 2.75 % with a closing of XXXX dollars at closing because I had a XXXXcredit score which was the high score, and the middle and lowest scores was a XXXX and a XXXX. I was advised by PNC that the lower scores had been reported by a 3rd agency factual data. I advised PNC that the lower scores were not accurate. I also advise them that I knew this because if have separate individual accounts with all credit reporting agencies and I can access all accounts to prove that the scores that factual data provided was not accurate. At this point I'm extremely frustrated with the process but because of the frustration I agreed to the counteroffer. After I agreed PNC asked me to prove where the money was coming from after I had given them all bank accounts, sign a 4506C so they can check my taxes with the IRS. With all of the frustration that I was feeling at that point I gave them my bank statement and I signed another 4506C so that they can check XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. After I gave PNC this information they then came back and asked me to send them my bank account information with the URL attached to it or to have a representative from my bank to date, sign and stamp the document by next day. Which would not have been a problem if it wasn't XXXX Friday when they requested the documents. At that point I asked to not move forward because I was being harrowed and discriminated against.
