Consumer Complaint: In a previous purchase dispute and subsequent complaint against PayPal, PayPal stated that I was at fault because I had not 'escalated ' the issue. I looked back at the emails I received from PayPal and realized that a lot of confusion is mostly likely created on purpose. First, I was dealing with 'Office of Executire Escalations ' and my agents title states, 'PayPal Executive Escalations '. I think common sense would dictate that the issue had been escalated. Now I want to be clear, this complaint is ONLY about their 'escalation ' requirement, processes, and communications ' as I believe it is all very intentional to not be clear about this process. In an email dated XXXX which was the warning that case would be closed they state that, 'if you escalate ... ' but yet I believed that it's already 'escalated ' based on what I already stated, it does not state that it is not escalated or how to escalate the matter. Also, why when you file a dispute is there this step to then 'escalate '???? That's the big question and again, it's to create more hurdles for consumers, to create confusion... This matter was very straightforward and in the end PayPal tried to make it appear they took high road and returned the money but the money should have been returned, I returned the product, I sent PayPal tracking info... all I didn't do due to the confusion and extra hoops was their whole escalation.

There process included downloading on XXXX for remote screen sharing and asking me to open my primary debit account and my PayPal account, at this point I questioned there process for credit card fraud and terminated the call. I believe it was an attempt to access my accounts.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I began doing business with a company over the internet. They charged my Pay Pal account {$63.00} on that day, and they stated that they would make subsequent charges against that account, until almost {$300.00} was paid to them. I spent the weekend in the emergency room, with a family member, who has since died, and so I paid no mind to it. On Monday, XX/XX/2023, I discovered that the company who had charged my Pay Pal account, had done so deceptively. I contacted them, in writing, several times, and I informed them that they had broken state and federal laws, and deliberately withheld facts from me, which I was relying upon when I decided to do business with them. I asked them to delete my profile and refund me, but they refused and did neither. I then provided proof to them that they had had committed statutory fraud, but they still ignored me and informed me that they would continue to charge me. So I filed a formal complaint against that business with the Federal Trade Commission, and XXXX XXXX XXXX I then went to Pay pal, and tried to stop the payment, but they forced me into an automated system, which would not allow it. I called their number, repeatedly, for three days straight, but I never reached a human and I sat on hold indefinitely. Pay Pal obviously does not wish to provide any real service, since their entire resolution process is strictly " app '' driven. Nevertheless, it's my money and my right under the law to stop fraudulent payments. For the record, I am a XXXX, certified consumer affairs XXXX for the New Jersey XXXX Attorney General, and so when I say that I was defrauded, it is with the full understanding of the law and my rights. XXXX XXXX can not just use my money as they choose, and then ignore me. I am entitled to dispute these fraudulent charges.

Using the PayPal checkout button on my website, which is linked to my PayPal, I collect payments from customers. I also make a daily withdrawal from my account after the transaction. I recently received a message from PayPal saying, " You can no longer do business with PayPal ( Ref ID - XXXX ). '' I initially thought this was a system issue. I've completed every selling deal I've started, so I have a good track record and no problems. In relation to my verified PayPal account, there are no open cases. I utilize it professionally so that customers can pay me through the PayPal checkout on my website. Please help us to solve this problem. Please examine and restore my account as well so that I can continue to use it for business. I am prepared to present any relevant proof, including copies of the websites where the money came from and images of my financial activities. Help would be appreciated as My Paypal account was essential. Hopefully, I can rely on you for this. I'm incredibly grateful for it.

Consumer Complaint: Received an invoice to pay for bicycle repairs through paypal. They use a deceptive user interface to induce account creation while hiding the ability to perform a guest transaction. They subsequently demanded copies of social security and driver 's license to process the credit card payment. I made credit card payment to the vendor through other means. Paypal refuses to " close '' the " account '' without providing social security and driver 's license information even though it was created in error on the same day and has never sent or received any transactions.
