Issue: Settlement process and costs
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I experienced financial difficulty and received foreclosure notice on property. In XX/XX/XXXX, I was contacted by Litton Loan Servicing saying that the propery was now " charged off '' and that I would need to settle the balance. I sent them {$7000.00} to settle. I continued to contact them and eventually received a message that they were now Ocwen Loan. I informed Ocwen of the settlement and they said they were not aware of anything. I continued to call Ocwen multiple times to research the incident. They would not. Finally, I negotiated with Ocwen another pay off for the same house that was foreclosed on, short saled, etc. They agreed to show paid in full ( see attaced ). They are still misreporting at all XXXX bureaus despite multiple attempts. This is causing me after 8 years to still cost extra money with interest rates and failure to purchase a home.

I have sent ocwen transcripts from XXXX bank on at least XXXX occasions. XXXX sends the payments on time every month. ocwen just sent me a foreclosure notice based on late payments. THERE HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE PAYMENTS!! My home is being STOLEN from me by fraud. I sent a copy of XXXX 's payment info to CFPB and they sent me a list of things to send to them XXXX of which was the list I had already sent them!! Since XXXX wires the payments most of the things on that list never existed! I have asked ocwen XXXX of times to tell me which payments were late. ocwen totally refuses to do this.

Consumer Complaint: Once again, I have filed numerous complaints concerning Ocwen and still they have not responded to my direct issues. They have not given me my deed to my condo free and clear and have not reimbursed me for the {$25000.00} they paid my condo association while we were still in litigation and nothing had been settled. Ocwen is still a mortgage collection company that has disrupted many lives not just mine. They need to be stopped and pay for their wrong. They can start with me.

Consumer Complaint: 3 to 4 yrs ago, XXXX XXXX transferred its Equity Line of Credit loans to Ocwen Servicing Center. Beginning in XXXX, 2013, up to present I have repeatedly requested that any access payment made above my regular payment be applied directly to the Principal. This is not being done. Instead, when i call to make the next months payment to make the interest payment ( as the account is set up to pay interest only and any overage going directly to the principal ), but because the overage paid from the month before is not being applied to the Principal, an incorrect interest amount is being shown due to Ocwen 's failure to apply the funds to the Principal. This is an on-going issue and i have been to Supervisors, Managers, the Escalation Dept., etc. and this problem has still not been resolved.

Consumer Complaint: at XXXX point I was having financial hardship, I filed for assistance from the courts, before the completion of the resolution in the courts me and O**** Loan Servicing came to an agreement if I paid the amount I was behind and pay a monthly agreed payment they will re-instate the loan, as of today I have lived in this home for 14 yrs, I have not changed addresses, they did not report correct information to the credit bureau they did not report I paid what I owed and have been making XXXX payments each month. I feel they received funds from me with no attention in giving me back ownership of my home which in XXXX aspect is fraudulent intent, when I speak with a person at O***** they are not assisting they actual speak to me in a tone as if I am uneducated and have no morals, I want fairness in this matter I paid O***** the monies I owed them I actually sold property in which I should have kept in order to save this XXXX if I knew what I knew now that choose would have been differently I feel they are trying to get over, t reporting that the monies I owed was paid in full with interest. I feel also because I do not understand real estate law they are taking advantage of the situation and me. they got the monies I owed them on the promise they would reinstate my loan fully and I would make monthly payments in the amount of XXXX, none of this has reflected on my credit report, no truth to the fact they was paid in full the amount I was behind and have been making on time payments every since. I need assistance in reclaiming my property if I did not have interest in retaining my home I would have not paid the monies owed ( correct ) but my intentions was to keep my home O***** was paid, please help me get my home back. and my credit report corrected.

Consumer Complaint: My loan was sold from Indymac to Ocwen in XX/XX/XXXX. My monthly payment went from {$4100.00} to {$4100.00}. I understand impounds, and realize they adjust with insurance and prop.taxes. This year I received and increase of {$230.00} a month. That is {$2800.00} a year! When I requested an analysis of my escrow acct. I see a double charge for Home Owner insurance, XXXX in XXXX and XXXX in XXXX. I changed H.O. Ins.a as of XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX to XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke to XXXX ( Ocwen ID XXXX ). She agreed there was a need to go to loan serving to address the issue. I requested a breakdown of the account and to correct the issue. I called again XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to XXXX ( ID XXXX ) He said they did there checking and the increase stands. I have not received an satisfactory explanation or someone who can explain to me how this can be the case when my policy only went up {$620.00} for the year I called XXXX to verify, that the annual policy was {$2300.00}, from XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. I canceled the policy on XX/XX/XXXX, and received a refund of {$450.00} from XXXX. This is because Ocwen was only sending monthly payments of {$140.00} per month. Did Ocwen not credit me for the policy I paid them for? Can you help me??

Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to do a loan modification with Ocwen bank since XXXX of 2014. I have been given the run around and submitting the same items and a complete file multiple times. All of this time they said I do n't have a complete file. XXXX of the reps, XXXX XXXX, from the loss mitigation department suggested that I send in a letter requesting to cancel the modification and restart the process. He suggested I wait a week before I resubmitted my file. Then the bank put the home on auction to be sold. The rep said do n't worry he can post pone the sale as soon as the file was uploaded. The sale was postponed for 45 days but then XXXX days after receiving my complete file they denied me for a loan mod for reasons that the investor would n't allow it. I asked if I could then sell the property to avoid foreclosure and they said there is n't enough time but that I could try. I simply want to be able to avoid foreclosure and be given the time to list the home and sell it out right.
