Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/19 i paid a settlement to Navy Federal Credit Union and i was informed that it would be updated and the negative information about it would be removed. Since then the company has updated the information for the balance owed but instead of changing the status to closed it was changed to charge off which is incorrect since i paid them to settle the account and close it. This has dropped my score 70 points and has severely hurt me as i am trying to purchase my first home and this has made me ineligible due to the credit score decreasing significantly.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for and was approved a Navy Federal Credit Union XXXX XXXX credit card. I applied because there was a 12 month 1.99 % APR offer. I received the credit card along with the Credit Card Pricing Terms a few days later. The Credit Card Pricing Terms document the card was adhered to clearly affirmed that my APR was 1.99 % for 12 month for Purchases AND/OR Balance Transfers after which I would be at 14.99 %. This letter is dated XX/XX/2019 and I still have it. On my last statement dated XX/XX/2019 I see I was charged 15.24 % interest on a balance transfer. I then looked back at previous statements and see I was charged the same higher interest rate. I called the bank. The first woman I spoke to put me on hold for several minutes before going to speak with a supervisor ... she then said she needed me to wait longer while they work it out and then hung up on my. I called back again later and spoke directly with a supervisor who was also unable to figure it out. Please help me to get this resolved. I am guessing I am not the only one they are trying to pull this with.

Until this day I have yet to get answer as to why my checking account was closed. I have email the CEO but have yet to get a reason as to why my account was closed. Consumer Complaint: I recently applied for a XXXX XXXX Credit card at the Navy Federal Credit Union after being approved with debit card. I received the debit card XX/XX/XXXX. I also received a reply stating that my credit card application number XXXX, dated XXXX was denied for the following reason, " YOU CAUSE NAVY FEDERAL A LOSS ". I served and XXXX in the XXXX for 20 years. I believe this is due to the bankruptcy I filled when I was still active in the service in the year of XXXX or XXXX ( that was more than 30 years ago ). I thought in accordance with the law, that bankruptcy stays in the record for a maximum of 10 years and can not be a basis anymore for disapproval. My credit has been successfully established since then. The denial came from the Navy Federal Credit Union, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, VA XXXX. Can you please shed some light on this matter and probably try to help me in obtaining a credit card, which is safer to use nowadays ' cause scammers are getting more aggressive and seems to be out of control. My E-mail : XXXX. Respecfully, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX
