Consumer Complaint: Called to get payment assistance on my Personal Loan. After speaking over an hour with the financial counselor and going over options, the counselor closed my credit card account without my permission. I mentioned to the counselor over and over again that closing my credit account was not an option because i was currently closing on a home and my Credit Card was the old and highest credit line. This change was immediately report to all 3 credit bureaus thus tanking my credit score and debt to ratio. Navy Federal said theyll send me a letter that I never received and also said the issue could not be fixed ( reported to credit agencies ) no sooner than 30-45 days. This in turn has cause me hardships as my credit score fell below the eligible score and losing earnest money. NFCU stated that they couldnt do anything about the loss of earnest money nor the house even after suggesting keeping the reduced interest rates for the personal loan and credit card to make up for the loss.

Consumer Complaint: I submitted an online application via Navy Federal Credit Union website for a checking and savings account on XX/XX/2020. I was approved and given account information online after submitting application and a deposit of XXXX into checking account via debit transaction. On XX/XX/2020 I received NFCU debit card via mail. Once trying to activate via telephone I was advised to speak with a representative. A representative stated I needed to speak with someone in Fraud dept. After waiting for approx 35 minute to speak with someone in that department a representative stated that " I committed fraud on the account ''. I stated what was the problem she stated it had something to do with consumer credit report. After asking several questions about trying to resolve and if I could submit any additional information to get this resolved she stated '' NO '' and I could never open an account with NFCU. Also asked if I would get a letter stating reasoning for this decision also stated " NO ''. Refund of monies deposited into checking account have to be disputed by the bank I submitted debit transaction per representative.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 I visited a car new dealership to purchase one of the two XXXX 's for sale. I made it very clear on the website which vehicle I was interesting in purchasing. The sales person indicated that he would pull the SUV up front for me to see. After talking for about 30 minutes the sales person agree to accept {$5000.00} from my credit card and the balance I would electronically forward from the same credit union. They advised me that only {$3700.00} was available on my card. I authorized for the amount and I told the sales person to let go home to learn what had occurred because I made a payment the night before. The salesman gave me the paperwork with the price, taxes and fees and it was then that I noticed a difference in the price that I was presented. The salesman was trying to sell me the other XXXX XXXX of the same year with a higher price. I went home and look at the two XXXX 's and the one I wanted and the one he tried to sell me. I emailed the manager of the car dealer to refund my money by returning the amount because I did not want the higher price SUV, the next day. I notified my Navy Federal Credit Union to dispute the transaction on XX/XX/2020. I learned the next week that I filed an dispute incorrectly, so I filed a dispute correctly. I did receive instructions to " freeze '' my account. I filed another dispute or questioning for a response. I was advised that it may take awhile. I purchased another newer SUV at another dealership on XX/XX/2020.

Navy Federal also puts additional money on any account you have with them in order to collect funds from other accounts that were discharged in bankruptcy. I have accounts for my children with Navy Federal and have just been informed on XX/XX/2020, that they also may have money withdrawn from their accounts for transactions unrelated to them even as minors.

Consumer Complaint: Hello there, I opened a rewards Go card with navy federal, beggining of XXXX XXXX I've been getting charged very high interest rates even making the payment above minimum payment my monthly interest rate is {$180.00}, {$160.00} every payment I started to make. I was never able to bring my owed credit down. I contacted them and I mentioned that I would Not be able to afford interested rates and they mentioned they already adjusted their APR for me. I never had an APR adjustment, I messaged them again, then they said they can not go any lower of what was given to me. During this financial hardship period they have not given me any sort of relief.

I have no debt with the exception of the car loan, house paid off. I was denied a loan based on my income of {$1400.00}. I combine a savings account and my SS for living expenses. I was recently approved w/ NF for a new mortgage. I have not used the mort. loan and understand if I do I would need to pay off the car, which I can do. I was told I would know instantly, then 2 hrs, then 24 hrs and now 2-3 days. I feel like I am dealing with people who dont care or understand debt to income or get my situation. Pls help.
