Consumer Complaint: I applied for membership with Navy Federal Credit Union and I was approved for membership. I was a member before but I was dropped as a member after I filed for bankruptcy in XX/XX/2003. I received a pre-approval letter from NFCU and I applied online. I was denied and the denial was based on " that I caused NFCU a lost ''. My bankruptcy has been over 10 years and I am still being denied credit. XXXX XXXX

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card
Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2020 I noticed unauthorized transactions on my account after my account went into negative status. I contacted the bank to file a complaint and dispute the transactions done thru XXXX XXXX on my account. This totaled {$8500.00}. I never authorized anyone access to my account. I did receive a link to my phone that stated it was XXXX XXXX. I never filled out anything with that link. Navy Federal is indicating based on me sharing with them that I received a link, the number of times I logged into my account and based on how a rep noted my account my {$8500.00} that was stolen out of my account is pretty much my loss. After filing this claim my debt card use was blocked THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE.. I spoke with a VERY RUDE XXXX agent a guy from the card fraud dept around XXXX and XXXX who noted a lie on my account. This has caused me to be at a loss of {$8500.00}. I do not remember the guy name, but he was in the card fraud services dept. I would like my debit cards unblocked and my funds back in my account. someone stole my funds using XXXX XXXX.

Issue: Advertising and marketing, including promotional offers
Subissue: Didn't receive advertised or promotional terms
Consumer Complaint: I have been a loyal member of Navy Federal Credit Union for over 35 years. In early XXXX I received an offer to transfer balances to my credit card at 1.99 % for 15 months. My husband also received an offer for 9 % at nine months. I already have a Visa credit card with NFCU and am being charged 9.9 % interest. I telephoned and emailed NFCU asking if the same offer I could receive offer of 1.99 % for 15 months so as to assist in bringing my credit card payment down and avoid the current $ XXXX/month in interest. TSaving $ XXXXmonth in interest at this point in my life with two college tuition to pay for would help a lot. NFCU responded saying " thanks for being a loyal member, but THAT offer is only for NEW members ''. How does this make sense? Then don't make the offer and reject me because based on me NOT being a NEW member. You don't want to assist a LOYAL customer who has over 10 family members banking with you, and a mortgage with you. It's terrible advertising and why send me the offer if you don't mean it? I'd like to ask and think it's only fair that NFCU allow me the 0 % interest rate for 15 months on my credit card
