Consumer Complaint: Dept of Ed Navient for XXXX account number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX pa XXXX This is XXXX XXXX making a complaint against The department of Navient. Over the last couple of years I have called navient over and over again asking them to look into and remove this account noted above. I have stated that this is not my account. I have a loan with them from XXXX University and XXXX University I'm not disputing that, but I am disputing this one account that they can't tell me anything about other than it came from a company called XXXX XXXX. Upon talking to them on XX/XX/XXXX I was told that there was nothing that they could do for me to call XXXX. From there I was told to make a complaint and they will go from there. I proceeded to state to tthe young lady on the phone that navient also tried to send me a letter after all conversation on the XXXX of XX/XX/2020 stating that I requested a name change and to fill out and return. This was not the case I never asked for a name change. I asked them to remove an item that was not mine as they had done on XXXX but yet it still remained on XXXX and XXXX. Now, they removed this last year so I'm thinking that everything is fine until I went to pull my credit again this month and to my surprise it's still there. What they tired to do after speaking to me was trying to do is make me responsible for this account by asking me to put in a name change. I have also was written them letters stating that this was not my account last year around XXXX. I've also complained about this account on numerous occasions years before and it still shows up on my credit report and in there system. At one point they took it off of my XXXX and when I saw it came off I ask them if they could take it off all 3 reports reflecting what was on XXXX. This item is stopping me from moving forward on buying a home and I like for navient to remove this item from my credit report as well as their system leaving me only on them for XXXX and XXXX University. buy them trying to get me to do a name change is deceitful and I feel like they were trying to call me into being responsible for this loan they got from XXXX XXXX. and I've also noticed when I open up my account with them they have me under another name The name is XXXX this is not me.

Consumer Complaint: I have recently bellied up in a business endeavor over the summer which is leading me to have to proceed in filing for bankrucy. Both business and personal. I have lost everything this summer and barely can stand on my own two feet right now. My federal school loan collectors have called me as much as 27 times one day. I have spoken to them numerous times that I am unable to afford and pay my school loan debt at this particular time. Unfortunately, the harassment and calls have gotten even worse. I have applied for FAFSA as I am reapplying for college to finish my degree. I am o the cusp of filing for bankruptcy and I need these people to please leave me alone til I can get back on my feet. I have spoken with an attorney that has advised me to record and collect the daily harrassment, as well as recording calls ( when I do answer ) and emails that deem in an almost threatening kind of manner. My credit has been absolutely destroyed by defaulting on my school loans. I feel taking a federal loan for the prospect in obtaining a degree was a burden that has completely destroyed the next decade ( 7 years ) of trying to get a mortgage, or even to attempt to get a car loan in the near future. Without any credit, except reoccurring defaults, I feel destroyed.

Consumer Complaint: While I was attending the University of XXXX for 7 years I obtained Student Loans. I graduated in XX/XX/XXXX. I did not have Navient as my loan carrier I had XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX I had begun a BK but did not complete it. XX/XX/XXXX navient said I owe XXXX well My loans are like 15years old and I had them paid down to XXXX. I attempted numerous times to ask how they obtained my loan and why it was so much, but no one could explain to me the reason except that is just the way it is. It is very upsetting when you feel you have paid down a debt only to find out it has increased. I have worked 10 years in a rural setting. I feel I should have my loans forgiven. Please assist me. Thank you XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I will file MONTHLY REPORTS with the CFPB until either my Student Loans are PAID IN FULL or Navient is HELP LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE for their DEPLORABLE BEHAVIOR! I don't expect this company to actually resolve my problems as that is not their modus operandi. However, I take solace in the fact that each complaint will cost Navient money when they have to research and respond. Each dollar that you have STOLE from me will be extracted in this manner. Navient is the most crooked Student Loan Provider in the industry! They steal a living off the back of working families and when that is not enough to satisfy them, they steal from the US taxpayer. Unfortunately, I fell victim to their battle cry " forbear them, forbear them, make them relinquish the ball ''. I have sheepishly relinquished the ball to Navient and their predecessor Sallie Mae for over 16 years and as of today, my balance is nearly the same as it was on day 1. If the executive leadership at Navient or their predecessor Sallie Mae had any ethics whatsoever, they would have informed me that an Income Based Repayment Plan was my best option. This option was NEVER DISCUSSED WITH ME until all my deferments & forbearances had been exhausted! Why did you wait until 2018 when all my deferments & forbearances had been exhausted to tell me about the Income Based Repayment plan? Why did the company 's representative convince me that forbearance & deferments were my best option when in fact an Income Based Repayment Plan would have resulted in my loans BEING PAID IN FULL OVER 5 YEARS AGO?

Consumer Complaint: I recently completed my XXXX XXXX XXXX. While in school several things occurred. First, my federal unsubsidized loan was sold to Navient. Navient held this loan until the last semester before I graduated this fall in XX/XX/XXXX. I took off one semester ( Spring XXXX ) before I finished school. Navient immediately started billing me upon my separation without graduating for XX/XX/XXXX. Thinking that there should be some grace period and my spouse had been unemployed for a little over 2 years, I couldn't afford to pay them. I just held my breath and started paying them when he got a job in XXXX or XXXX of XXXX. I contacted them once and the representative totally ignored my grace period question and wanted me to set up a payment plan. As I explained, I don't need one since my husband is working. However, I am in no position to pay them thousands of dollars to bring this account current. Two concerns : If Navient considered my original separation from school grace 6 months, then why am I 90 days late once the grace period ends? Second question : I pay Navient one payment. Why are they reporting to the credit bureaus three different loans at 150 days late? They are purposefully doing everything in their power to do major damage to my credit. Last but not least, when I asked the US Dept of Education to review their reporting, they recognized the error and made it right. I am hoping and praying that someone can get Navient to do the same.

Consumer Complaint: My consolidation loan originated with XXXX for 20 years, fixed interest, and stipulated payments throughout the loan until the last payment in XX/XX/XXXX. Sallie Mae then took over the loan and now Navient has the loan. Recently I noticed they show an " estimated '' payoff date of XX/XX/XXXX. When I inquired they stated XXXX did not disclose the loan properly and that Navient recalculated the loan for what I owe. My legally binding terms and payment conditions were signed with XXXX back in XX/XX/XXXX. In Sallie Mae and Navient assuming that loan, they in turn should maintain the terms and conditions. After 2 calls, Navient again " recalculated '' my loan and then instilled a higher auto payment draft scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX which I do not authorize. A third call was made today, XXXX, indicating I do not authorize that payment nor do I still agree with their " recalculation '' of the payments due beyond XX/XX/XXXX. They state they will be sending me my original XXXX table of payments and then their table of my payments and how I am coming up " short ''. If XXXX calculated my loan amount, repayment value and monthly payment amounts incorrectly that is not my fault, nor my responsibility. I signed a binding contract with them for those indicated payments scheduled. If another company assumes the loans, they should assume the same terms, especially since I never signed anything with them allowing them to reassess my loan, nor change any terms or conditions of my original loan taken out through XXXX. I feel I am only legally obligated to make payments at the monthly rate for the remaining three ( 3 ) months of my 20 year fixed consolidation loan. The outstanding value of that loan is not sizable. It is the principle here of a loan company taking advantage of people, not hearing and understanding my complaint, nor acknowledging the risks they assume when acquiring terms and conditions from loans they now take over.

Consumer Complaint: All of the amounts listed ( {$350.00} ) are current and are in school deferment and have been reporting on my credit report when they shouldn't. This is hindering a lot of progress I could be making with my credit especially trying to get a house. Every disbursement I have is there for lenders to see which is why everyone has turned me down for everything.

Consumer Complaint: Navient assured me, twice, no payment would be pulled for XXXX. Then they pulled a payment ( nothing was due ) and now I can't afford to eat. They kept blaming the government as a reason they could not refund me the payment in under a MONTH. The Navient Supervisor told me my only option was to have my bank lend me money, or starve.

Consumer Complaint: My student loans were I deferment due to my change of address and I was not receiving ANY forms at all from them nor phone calls. I did not know these were on my report until I went to try to buy a car and they told me. I called them set up auto payment for 9 months ; after the nine months were over I contacted them several times about setting up new payment plan. In XX/XX/2019 they told me THEY would send me stuff in the mail to my new lender. I called them AGAIN, multiple people have told me several things, different amounts to pay, different ways to pay, different lenders, etc. XXXX I started making my payments again I may them up until XXXX I believe and we made a call saying we couldn't afford the amount we were paying. They told us they would determine our bills monthly and income and then make our payment schedule, which was a lie. So then we get told someone will contact us again. No one mailed us anything and we were 90 days late once we tried to buy a house and we found that out and they said they were emailing us all the stuff, in which they had the WRONG email address. We have since put it on auto pay, we have disputed and wrote goodwill letters. This is ruining our life. Can you please look into this and see if it can be fixed.
