Consumer Complaint: For the last 18 months, Navient has been incorrectly reporting derogatory late payments to my credit files. For the month and year listed below Navient erroneously reported between 60 - 150 days late. According to Navient customer reps, they only report an account late after three billing cycles. To date, I have gathered supporting documentation showing all canceled checks and or debit card transactions for payments under my rate reduction program. Derogatory late months are shown on my credit report ; XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX & XXXX XXXX. Each of the fourteen accounts with Navient shows a mixed bag of derogatory lates ranging from 60/90/90/90/120 or 150+ days late. For the Months of XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX, Navient has granted me a national disaster forbearance, but they are still reporting derogatory for said months

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, my loans with Navient ( at the time, Sallie Mae ) equaled approximately {$82.00}. XXXX. When I contacted Navient due to difficulties repaying my loan, they offered me a hardship forebearance. I thought this was a life-saver. I was unaware of and not offered any other options ... .This option allowed Navient to continue to accrue interest on my loan. Since I was a low paid public service worker, Navient continued to offer me forbearances until one day they told me my number of forbearances had run out. They never once informed me about any income-driven repayment plansthat would have allowed me an affordable repayment option and the opportunity to have my loan forgiven after ten years as a public servant. Now, in XXXX, I find myself, a single mother with a XXXX child strapped with a loan that currently amounts to {$160000.00} ... more than twice my original loan amount. Furthermore, after recently filing for an income based repayment plan, I was sent a coupon booklet where my payments jumped more than 100 %. Although my income has not improved greatly, my plan goes from {$150.00} a month to {$1500.00} starting in XXXX. I can not possibly pay this amount which is 38 % of my income based on last years tax records. And that's gross ... .NOT take home pay which is approximately a third less ... I am XXXX XXXX XXXX. These loans are from a XXXX XXXX XXXX program for a XXXX XXXX degree, that I was never able to use, because XXXX XXXX failed to inform me that post-graduate courses where required for permanent certification. I was never able to afford the XXXX 's courses. As a result, I have never been employed in the school counseling field. When I initially called XXXX XXXX I wanted to become a XXXX XXXX. They steered me toward the XXXX XXXX track as they had no openings in their teaching program at the time. They never once informed me that my XXXX XXXX XXXX alone would be useless unless I could afford additional courses, or I NEVER would have chosen that professional track and taken out student loans for a worthless degree. I did not find out that XXXX 's courses were required until after I graduated. Then, for years, Navient granted me forebearances ... .never once advising me of other options. Please, advise me as to what I can do. I feel as if both Navient and XXXX XXXX did me a disservice by not giving me adequate information to make sound decisions.

A student loan payment of {$410.00} sent by my employer, The University XXXX XXXX, on my behalf on XX/XX/XXXX, to Pioneer Credit Recovery has not been applied to my student loan account, although the check was cashed over a year. I was told by Pioneer Credit Recovery to contact The XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Department of The Department Of Education by calling XXXX - XXXX - XXXX to get information on the missing payment. On XX/XX/XXXX, at the request of the XXXX of the DOE, I mailed the requested copy of the front and back of the check that the University XXXX XXXX deducted from my paycheck and paid on XX/XX/XXXX for my student loan payment, and shown to be cashed on XX/XX/XXXX. Consumer Complaint: I contact Navient customer service on or about XX/XX/2020 to see how can I go about paying my private student loans that had charged off. I was given a number to XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX. I contacted them and spoke with XXXX who informed me that I can settle for less and the accounts would be satisfied in full. I made the payment of {$2500.00} on XX/XX/2020. Since then I have contacted navient on several occasions asking about when will my private student loans show {$0.00} due, the payment shows on my account. I was informed on XX/XX/2020 that XXXX didn't submit documentation showing the loans were settled they just submitted the payment. So I contacted XXXX and they assured me that they sent over all docuemtations. On XX/XX/2020 I called navient and XXXX again to rectify this matter and the blame game started again. Navient don't know why or what to do because XXXX haven't provided them with the documentation whereas XXXX stating they provided them with the same documentation they sent to me ( I will upload it here ). Needless to say on today it still shows a balance and no one still knows how to update anything.

Consumer Complaint: On several occasions, my wife and I have been contacted by representatives at Navient attempting to collect a debt for two other persons bearing our last name. We do not know the consumers Navient is attempting to contact, but the callers are attempting to reach them through us. There are no searchable records online that tie my phone number or that of my wife to any other XXXX, leading me to believe Navient and its personnel are using data broker tools such as TLO or CLEAR and making desperate links between me and the consumers with my last name. The most recent caller only identified himself by first name, XXXX. He further stated he was looking for the two people I noted above, believing I was a " possible '' relative. The transcript follows : " Good afternoon, this message is intended for XXXX XXXX. My name is XXXX. Today is the XXXX of XXXX. The reason I'm calling today, XXXX, I'm trying to reach XXXX and XXXX XXXX, possible relatives of yours. We're having some difficulty reaching each of them, hoping you might be able to help us out. Maybe there's another number we should be attempting to to reach them at that you could make us aware of. Maybe you have a way to get them a message or know of anyone who could. Once again, my name is XXXX, I'm calling from Navient, formerly Sallie Mae, trying to reach XXXX and XXXX XXXX. Any assistance or feedback you could provide would be greatly appreciated. XXXX. XXXX from Navient, trying to reach XXXX and XXXX XXXX. XXXX. Thank you. '' The employee XXXX, no last name, is in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.SXXXX Code 1692b, paragraphs ( 1 ) and ( 2 ), in that he : ( a ) furnished the name of his employer, Navient, without expressly being asked for it, and ( b ) stated the full names of two debtors in conjunction with the employer name which discloses that they owe a debt. Further, taken together, this action also violates FDCPA, 15 U.S. Code 1692c ( b ), in that the debtors could not have granted permission to Navient to speak with me being that they do not know me.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, In XX/XX/XXXX and prior, Ive been going back and forth w/ Navient regarding several issues with my account. Being that several people were emailing me in regards to my concerns. No one was really checking my account for notes prior to contacting me after the last person. Anyway, the remaining issue still exists. On XXXX report under Navient, instead of 2 accts. Only 1 acct. shows for Navient, that account shows as CLOSED, that acct. also has in the remarks section that they were included in my Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy ( Case # XXXX, filed XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ) IF you so choose look up this public record, it will confirm that NO STUDENT LOANS WERE INCLUDED IN MY CHAPTER XXXX BANKRUPTCY. I have told all 3 credit bureaus this repeatedly, they have not removed this information. I have requested repeatedly from the student loan servicers to have this information removed & reported accurately. Instead on my report it just shows, consumer disputed ... .consumer disputed. Im disputing but nothing is being resolved. Whats the point in going through their processes in contacting them if they dont care? Please enlighten me. It is MY credit scores that are effected. It is me, thats buying a home. They can send out the right paperwork when billing but not care what the credit bureaus report based on THEIR information. Thats not ok.I need all Navients information to be reported accurately across all 3 credit bureaus. There are 2 ( TWO ) accts. not one, both are OPEN, under no circumstances were either filed in my Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy. Correct it. ALL DOCUMENTS ARE ATTACHED.

Consumer Complaint: I have student loans with Navient. They are all Federal Student Loans. I can provide detailed payment logs that include weekly payments of student loans that show I was still making payments for years while being on IDR of XXXX based on income. When recertifications for IDR 2020 ( before COVID ), my required amount became 100+ dollars, ok I thought to myself, Ill keep weekly payments going and I should be ok, no. It appears Navient has charged me a late fee, and all payments made I believed were being added to my actual loans only went to interest. The payment of 100+ dollars that I was told would start in XX/XX/2020, I have only paid around 50 dollars to, oh and Im past due because it actually started repayment in XXXX???? Not to mention a XXXX $ student loan that I never received is on my account as needing to be repaid. How do I pay a loan I never received. Navient has stated they can Accommodate me by placing my account in forbearance For 30 days to remove the XXXX late fee. Wait I thought that process adds more interest to an already outrageous amount due. This is a shame, a consumer thinks they are doing the best they can with little the have and loan sharks like Navient give wrong information and take their money. If I would have known that interest would have accrued even on IDR while making payments I would have kept XXXX. And not attempted to pay extra. Shame on me for being honest and wanting to get ahead.
