Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX NH. XXXX Nationstar Loan # is : XXXX To Whom It May Concern : This is a follow up to a complaint concerning our mortgage with Nationstar Mortgage. We filed a complaint in XXXX XXXX with the Consumer Financial Protection agency, ( complaint number is : # XXXX ). Shortly after submitting this complaint, we received a call from our mortgage company Nationstar in an attempt to resolve this matter. We were advised to apply for the Government HAMP loan as a solution to our complaint*. * ( In short we are requesting our 5 year ARM be converted into a 30 year fixed mortgage ) After 6 months of working with Nationstar, in XXXX of XXXX we were contacted by Nationstar Mortgage Company and were told we had been accepted for the government ( HAMP ) Home Affordable Modification Program. We were not provided any written information about the term of the new loan, only the monthly payment amount was provided. ( {$2100.00} our new monthly payment ). We were told we would be required to make 3 payments ( 90 day trial period ) and if we successfully made those payments we would then receive written documents outlining the terms of loan. In XXXX we successfully completed the terms of the trial period and received the final loan modification documents provided by Nationstar Mortgage. After reviewing the loan documents we were very uncomfortable with the terms of the new loan agreement. We would be required to agree to accept a 40 year mortgage at 4.125 % interest rate with exorbitant, penalties, interest, fees and other costs added to the loan bringing the new principal balance to {$350000.00}. Our original loan amount when we purchased the house in XXXX of XXXX was for {$240000.00}. Despite the fact that we have been making monthly payments for over 8 years the new loan balance would be over XXXX. We feel this is an excessive amount of fees to pay on top of the 40 year mortgage interest payments. The only " supposed '' relief offered was described in Point XXXX. Section XXXX of the new loan documents by deferring {$56000.00} of the new principal balance to be interest free for the period of the loan. {$350000.00} less {$56000.00} equals the new interest bearing principal balance of {$290000.00}. This XXXX will be charged interest at a rate of 4.125 % for 40 years. Using an amortization schedule, the 40 year payback amount on the interest bearing principal balance is {$600000.00} plus we would need to pay the {$56000.00} deferred amount in full before the loan would be paid in full. That is {$650000.00}. This is an exorbitant amount of interest to earn on this mortgage. In XXXX we wrote and submitted to Nationstar an appeal letter asking for a sizable reduction in the principle balance on the loan before we could accept the new modification agreement. ( You should be aware that the town of XXXX NH has appraised the value of the property to {$250000.00} most recently ). XXXX XXXX I received a response from Nationstar denying all of the requests I made in our appeal letter leaving us with few options. XXXX XXXX, XXXX we formally refused the terms of the HAMP modification loan closing options to prevent the foreclosure of our home. Nationstar then offered us a program called " Keys for Cash '' with a {$35000.00} payment if we voluntarily sign the house over to the bank. We agreed to the Keys for Cash program and shortly after Nationstar withdrew the financial offer of ( {$35000.00} ). Supporting documents attached.

Consumer Complaint: We originated our Mortgage through XXXX, who in turn sold our loan to XXXX XXXX XXXX. During the housing crisis our family experience a job change and XXXX hospital stays for our daughter that resulted in a {$60000.00} loss for our household that year. My husband and I who are now separated, but working on reconciliation. We contact XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2011 to negotiate HARP assistance. XXXX XXXX XXXX lost our paperwork twice, and delayed getting help for over XXXX months. We even enlisted a credit counselor service who promised to get us " back on the road to financial recovery '' who took our money and failed to pay our bills. The only resort we had left was to file Chapter XXXX bankruptcy XX/XX/2011. Once we did this XXXX XXXX XXXX immediately sold our loan to NationStar. We have had nothing but trouble reaching NationStar to discuss anything with or negotiate or take action. They place you on hold for more than 15 minutes at a time and then hang up on you. We are broken, exhausted with the trials of the last five years of struggle in order to make ends meet and we can not get the help we need. We have both worked since the age of XXXX and are hard working. We have always tried to do all the right things and teach our children to do the same, yet we seem to never be able to get ahead. We are now having health issues due to all the stress that both XXXX XXXX XXXX and now NationStar are putting us through. We received a notice a week ago that they have involved XXXX XXXX XXXX to begin the foreclosure processes, however we have not been served with notice, nor any postings placed on our residence and we are still in Bankruptcy, which will not end for another year. NationStar told the US Bankruptcy court that they had served us a notice regarding mailing address changes, however if this is the case, then they did so fraudulently and without valid due process. We both work 10-12 hour days both of us have long commutes my commute is an hour in the am, his is more like XXXX, due to traffic issues in XXXX. We have tried to work hard for the " American Dream '' only to find ourselves in our late XXXX 's back to square one. We have attempted to contact the HOPE program, but they seem to do little to help and take a while to help with problems that need to be resolved immediately. I am sure they are busy, but this housing crisis problem is still very much alive and in my opinion, far from over or near resolve. From what I can see online, settlements for those hurt by XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX actions have been disbursed or closed. So, those that have continued to try and do the right thing, attempting futilely to gain control of the losses that plague them, have now missed the life preserver thrown out to help those injured. It saddens me that the Whistleblower 's who spoke out about what happened to consumers while working with XXXX XXXX XXXX faired much better ( in financial compensation ) than those people who were truly injured/affected by those Whistleblower 's actions. These people cost consumer 's their homes, their livelihood and their mental health.

Consumer Complaint: I already have a complaint opened, XXXX pertaining to flood insurance. This was opened on XX/XX/XXXX. I have heard nothing, until today when I XXXX again received a copy of the original letter stating they are going to raise my flood insurance. I need to know something? What is going on? The mortgage company is not responding. Help, please I can not afford a large increase in my insurance. I thought this was settled in XX/XX/XXXX when XXXX XXXX XXXX tried to do the same thing and the CFPB had to intervene. I have not changed anything on my mortgage.

Consumer Complaint: I had water damage to my property and the insurance company sent me a check for repairs which had to be endorsed by Nationstar and myself. I mailed the check to them immediately and did not receive it back until almost 2 weeks later. they claimed the check was mailed on XX/XX/XXXX when the envelope states XX/XX/XXXX. then they stated in a letter to me ( see all attachments ) that if I did not return the certification document and copy of insurance adjuster 's report within 15 days they would put all additional funds into a restricted escrow account when I do n't even have an escrow account with them. Both documents were faxed to them twice and when I called they claimed they did not receive them. I have a receipt from the fax that they were received by Nationstar.

Consumer Complaint: 1. ) Nationstar Mortgage increased my mortgage payment just 4 months after both/all of us completed an exhaustive in-depth modification & refinancing. We both agreed my payment would be ; {$500.00} monthly @ 4 % for a 40 years note. Nationstar jacked my payment another $ 50 monthly to {$550.00}. In 40 years @ 4 %, that equals another {$24000.00} going to Nationstar. Also, they could jack the payment again without my signature or approval tomorrow. Nationstar said it was needed for escrow. I reminded them that they just completed a loan mod-refi only 4 months ago which examined the escrow needed. I only get {$1200.00}. per month XXXX since being injured on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX so a {$50.00} monthly increase is a big deal to me. For Nationstar, it 's {$24000.00} more in their pocket. And within XXXX, possibly just 2 years, i could be " Escrow-Increased '' out of my XXXX bedroom, XXXX bath home. 2. ) Please make Nationstar honor their 40 year agreement that my mortgage payment stay at {$500.00} as we both agreed and signed to. Also, i did not change or alter my property nor did i file any claims which might affect the escrow insurance. Nothing has changed since we passed " signed '' papers 4 months ago ( XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/2015 ). 3. ) I am the 'disabled ' homeowner adversely affected by Nationstar debt collector who portray themselves as a mortgage company. 4. ) Homeowner 's mortgage. 5. ) Review ; Four months earlier, Nationstar went over every little detail for my loan modification, especially escrow, taxes and insurance as we finalized, agreed and signed a 40 year note. What good is that mortgage contract if Nationstar can keep 'unilaterally ' increasing the monthly payment by {$100.00}. each year crying " escrow ''. In 3 years, my {$500.00}. payment will become {$800.00}. per month taken out of my {$1200.00}. Soc sec. XXXX. Two more years and i will have to give them {$1000.00}. a month out of {$1200.00} ... ... ... ... ... ..Keep in mind, some years, we do not receive an annual increase from SSI. i 'll be homeless again.
