Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: Mr. Cooper Nation Star has incorrectly reported several months on my credit report as late. I have disputed the late payments and they have since then been corrected for some but not all. My mortgage payments are still showing late for XX/XX/2022, XX/XX/2022, and XX/XX/2022. XXXX had fixed the issue and took the late payments away but they popped back up. I put in several disputes for all 3 bureaus and they told me they would be corrected however they are still reflecting on my credit report. I have also been told that I would get calls back within 48 hours and have not received any calls back and have had to call back each time being told that I have to start restart the process because they couldn't find the information in the system. Currently, I am needing XXXX and XXXX reporting to be corrected. There seems to be no stream line for effective communication and this is affecting my credit report/score. The costumer service as been awful & exhausting.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I was notified via email that Mr Cooper Home Loans had paid my hazard insurance in the amount of {$1400.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I received notification that XXXX XXXX XXXX has not received payment for my homeowners insurance. This same problem occurred in XXXX, however Mr Cooper applied a " force placed '' insurance policy to my account, which then increased my monthly payment by ~ {$150.00}. When I provided them the insurance policy details that has existed on my account since they assumed ownership of my mortgage from XXXX, they sent me an " overpayment '' check for the amount of my insurance policy premium, which I then sent back to them to apply to my escrow and pay the homeowners insurance premium. After finally processing the insurance payment correctly, they did not revert my monthly payment back to its original monthly payment amount, which was around $ XXXX. I've been paying the {$1500.00} for the last year, which is what they adjusted it to, to presumably pay for a force placed policy that was never needed, since my XXXX policy had been in place, uninterrupted. This problem has been occurring every year since Mr Cooper assumed ownership of my mortgage from XXXX, which I believe occurred in XXXX.
