Issue: Struggling to pay mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I originally fell behind to medical issues that led to unexpected doctor bills and caused financial hardship. I have been trying to work with the lender to obtain a loan modification without success they state I do not qualify and I have resolved issues by increasing income and still state the same reason. Thereafter filed for a Chapter XXXX bankruptcy to try to reorganize the debt and thereafter the lender opposed the bankruptcy and caused to not go forward. In every attempt I have made to save the home they have made me fall further behind by not assisting my situation. Further they finally offered a modification making payments of close to XXXX and I made the XXXX trial payments and thereafter the modification was cancelled because they state I did not return the documents which I did not receive. I am desperate and frustrated and my health is being affected from all the stress this issues has caused. I have looked into filing a Wrongful Foreclosure lawsuit but at the moment can not afford an attorney and just want to save the home. Also this issue also started when servicers change and amount of debt increased without explanation.

Consumer Complaint: In 2021 my mortgage was sold to Mr Cooper. Prior to them taking on the loan, they paid property taxes when they were paid out of the former servicer escrow. They repeatedly have refused to address the issue with the City of XXXX and we are currently out of pocket ~ {$5000.00} and they and the City refuse to reimburse us the homeowners.

We are thankfully in a financial position that is not in default ; however I know how these situations can affect our credit scores. Please help. Consumer Complaint: My mortgage was transferred to Mr. Cooper from XXXX XXXX effective XX/XX/2022. I made an electronic payment for {$1400.00} through my bank to Mr. Cooper on this date, yet Mr. Cooper claims they did not receive it. I alerted my bank on XX/XX/2022, and they opened a case with Mr. Cooper since they have proof of payment. I also emailed Mr. Cooper about this, using the address the Mr. Cooper rep gave to me on XX/XX/XXXX, when the bank, Mr. Cooper, and I were on a three-way call to try to resolve this issue.

Consumer Complaint: During the Pandemic I was placed on the forbearence program due to my financial status. The forbearance was set to expire in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX Mr. Cooper which is the mortgage company has reported my account to all XXXX credit bureaus as DELINQUENT when in fact I was not being late and still was in the forbearance program. As a result of that my credit score has been reduced to XXXX points causing me to lose on the property I was about to put an offer on. Mr. Cooper 's action for reporting my account to the credit bureau has impacted me hardly and financially in so many ways. I have tried to speak to a customer service and a manager to see if i could have the issued escalated to resolve this matter and have my account updated however i was not being successful. I am requesting to have the account removed from all the XXXX credit Bureaus ASAP and be compensated for my losses as this is very unfair and unjust to me.

Consumer Complaint: Mr. Cooper should not be handling people 's money!!! They are careless and their negligence is unacceptable. They have consumed my clean mortgage about 4 years ago with NO escrow which had more than 25 % equity but they have ignored the fact and kept sending property tax payment to my county ( not city and not insurance ) in spite of the fact that I have contact them sooooo many times and in writing and escalating the matter with the Executive Resolution Team, XXXX XXXX XXXX and with XXXX XXXX at Loss Mitigation ; I spent hours and days of my busy schedule and my busy work time and nothing, absolutely nothing has been corrected. This issue has caused my account to go under but they keep sending unnecessary payments on my behalf and the county keep sending the check back to them but they still report me to the credit bureaus with late payments, missing payments and now my account is big time upside-down. I have now learned that my excellent credit score dropped in XXXX points due to this reporting which hurts my financial badly working on other transactions. Currently, my equity is about $ 75 %. On top of that, I have been adding $ XXXX to each monthly payment for the last 4 years which should be showing credit of about {$12000.00} on my account- so how could my account be upside-down!!! I would like to ask for ALL my money back and to have my account straight showing all my credits. I would like to have a specific and a responsible person to handle this case to the fullest. I can not afford to waste anymore time and money over this ridiculous non-sense. Six documents attached. I would appreciate your HELP!!!

Consumer Complaint: I refinanced my house around XX/XX/2021. The company i refinanced with, XXXX, sold my mortgage to another company and then was sold again to " Mr.Cooper '' ... My loan was fine to begin with until this past XX/XX/XXXX, Mr. Cooper decided to do an escrow analysis. They decided after less than a year of being with them that i came up short with my taxes and insurance, however, they are the ones that knew what the amounts were to begin with, because i had to pay a years worth up front and they did the math to establish the loan. Now they are saying i have less than 30 days until my house note goes up almost $ XXXX. I have tried to call their company and speak with someone about this 3 times now and all they did was transfer me from person to person and dept to dept and i even sent a message through there " message center ''. I got a response the other day stating that " due to the nature of my issue '' they were passing it over to yet another department for review. I get my answer in 7-10 business days but XX/XX/XXXX is approaching and my house note increases. Evidentially Mr. Cooper requires an additional {$600.00} in the escrow that i was never informed about being this company is not who I originally refinanced with. All this was done over the phone and i guess i will know better for next time.

Consumer Complaint: The mortgage company puts their insurance in place even though I have coverage in place. Second year in a row, after going thru their portal they never respond and just place coverage. It is a supplemental policy which in place prior to XX/XX/2022. Yet they still put their own coverage in place via the escrow and will not allow opt out of escrow. I pay for 3 separate buildings on one policy, they fail to even consider it. The charged me {$240.00} this year and {$660.00} last year and would not refund the amount even though I have the coverage.
