Consumer Complaint: Chase Bank accepted an accurate credit card application from me, with my legal name and address correctly presented on the application. Chase Bank approved my credit card application. Thereafter, Chase Bank issued a credit card to me with my name misspelled and an incorrect mailing address. I have spent more than two months trying to get Chase Bank to correct THEIR errors. My husband and I have many accounts with Chase Bank, all of which have our names spelled correctly ( matching our government-issued ID 's ) and our correct mailing address on them. My nam hasn't changed since I got married 45 years ago. My address hasn't changed in more than 3 years. After several weeks of fighting with Chase Bank, they corrected my mailing address. Then, they forced me to complete a Legal Name Change Form and give them a copy of my passport. I did everything Chase Bank demanded. Finally, they corrected the name on my credit card. But, they sent the corrected credit card to the erroneous address, effectively nullifying all the work I did previously to get my address fixed! Now, they have altered my husband 's Chase Bank credit card mailing address also, putting an erroneous address on HIS account also! None of these changes were initiated by me or my husband. The misspelled name and the erroneous address data originated at Chase Bank and despite meeting with a personal banker three times at a local branch, and supplying evidence of Chase Bank 's persisting errors, we can not get Chase Bank to fix their errors. We fear this problem may have an adverse impact on our credit, as Chase Bank may report an erroneous address for us to a credit reporting agency. Further, we are not getting our mailed statements timely, due to the wrong address on our bills.

Consumer Complaint: I submitted a dispute through Chase for concert tickets because XXXX never made a mention of an obstructed view when I bought them, only to have an obstructed view when I got there. XXXX said they dont provide refunds and Chase said the charge was valid, so I lost the dispute. The problem, however, is that on XX/XX/, I was provided the credit for this dispute. On XX/XX/23, I called Chase to ask about the status of my dispute as I wasnt sure what the sudden money in my account meant. The Chase representative told me I had won this dispute and that the decision had been made on XX/XX/. I asked if I could therefore receive the money to my checking account and they said yes. Two days after that, on XX/XX/23, I received an email asking me to confirm that Id like to receive the money to my checking account, if not it would be sent as a check. If this was a temporary credit, why was the money released this way? Additionally, the Chase representative told me I won the dispute only for another representative over a week later to tell me I had lost. Their incompetence has caused extreme stress.

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: On XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, I made a cash deposit of {$1000.00} to Chase Bank. I also cancelled a transfer to XXXX XXXX XXXX from that account as it was no longer needed. To have additional security on my account, I locked both my Chase Credit and Chase Checking account. At XXXX, I called Chase customer service as I noticed that I was charged a service fee of {$12.00} in XXXX and XXXX. I was hoping to get clarity on the situation and hopefully a reversal, unfortunately that was not the case. At XXXX, I called a service representative in which I was told they would transfer me to customer service. Upon doing so the customer service representative stated that she noticed that I had an account with Chase Checking which was closed in XX/XX/XXXX. I explained to her that it was a new account and I attempted to transfer funds to an existing account to the Chase account. I also expressed that the account was abruptly closed and I received no insight on the matter then. She then stated she would transfer me to another department to help with the service fee issue but instead, I was hung up on after being on hold for an extended period of time. I called another customer service representative at XXXX regarding the issue but I was told that I should call customer service Monday as they are closed. I then tried to access my Online Chase Banking account but to no avail as I was met with this message, We locked your account due to unusual activity. Call us to unlock it. If you're a commercial client, reach out to your servicing team. Please note that you will not be able to access your account information, documents or statements online or on the mobile app until we unlock your account. I called another customer representative to see what was going on and I was informed that Chase no longer wants to continue a relationship with me and that my funds are to the discretion of the bank teller. As my Chase credit card account is connected to my Chase online banking, I called their customer service number to inquire about what can be done with that account. I was informed once again that I can not be provided with a reason why my Chase checking account was closed and that my funds are at the discretion of the bank teller. When I then asked to close my Chase credit account as I feel there is no security with them, the representative stated I can close it on the phone and then hung up on me again.

Consumer Complaint: Today, I am writing this complaint to JPMCB CARD regarding the incorrect information on my accounts. I sent them a letter requesting for investigation of those accounts mentioned, they took more than 30 days to complete and they stated that they have completed the investigation. However when I pull my recent report I don't see any changes made at all. They claimed that they verified the information but how come that it is verified when the date of last activity, date opened, date of last report. payment history and status are inaccurate? This is not right. I understand my rights under 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A which states that I have the right to privacy and 15 U.S.C 1681 section 604 A Section 2, which also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions.
