Consumer Complaint: I sold my watch to a company XXXX XXXX XXXX, they sent me a check for {$3200.00} on XX/XX/2023, I deposited the check in my account electronically via my phone app with CHASE Bank , couple of days later I try to use my card and it gets declined. I call the bank and they said the check was flagged as potential fraud and consequently they restricted my account and may close it and they need the issuer to call them to tell them the check is legit. I provided them with several numbers after contacting the company, CHASE kept repeating that none of these numbers are verified. Their next suggestion was for the company to recall the check, the company refused to do so, their reason is We can not void the check anymore because your bank CHASE cashed and scanned it. So we cant void at this point. Chase kept toying with me for a week repeating the same thing, claiming procedures and not trying to help or look for an alternative, consequently, I am late on my bills, my credit score has been damaged due to Chase actions.

Consumer Complaint: Originally purchased flight tickets on my credit card in XXXX, 2022. Due to unforeseen circumstances ( XXXX XXXX ), two of the individuals flying are not able to make it. ( XXXX got XXXX, the other is his primary caregiver ). I submitted a claim to the Chase Sapphire Reserve card insurance, as this was covered under their terms and conditions. I then called Chase customer service, and the representative told me I didnt need to submit the claim, that I could cancel it, and that the airline would be refunding me a partial amount ( around {$2200.00} ) due to multiple schedule changes with the flight. The chase representative then told me the funds would be sent back to my Chase Sapphire Reserve card, wishing 5-7 business days. 3 weeks passed, and I called to inquire on the status and they had no idea what I was talking about. I escalated the call, and the supervisor told me they would call me back after 24 hours so they could investigate. They never called. I have been calling multiple times, escalating the calls, and nobody is able to help me with this. I cancelled the claim as advised by Chase customer service, but now it has been over a month since they told me the partial refund would be posted, and nothing is even pending. All recordings of phone call interactions I have had can be pulled to confirm this.

Consumer Complaint: I have banked with Chase for many years and have never had a problem. My paychecks are drawn on XXXX XXXX. When XXXX XXXX had those problems recently ( bank is still open for business ) and I deposited my paycheck last week, Chase put a hold on my paycheck. I deposited it on the XXXX of XXXX and they are holding it until the XXXX of XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX and the monies are cleared on their end. XXXX XXXX called Chase and told them to release the check as the funds are cleared on XXXX 's side. They said they could not release it. I called Chase XXXX to try to get it released as well and they told me the check had an alert on it and the computer will not allow them to release my check until the date in the system. I told them it was against the law to hold my paycheck and a violation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. My account is going into the negative now, because my bills are coming through. I get paid again tomorrow and they can not tell me if I deposit my check, if they will hold this one. I live paycheck to paycheck and can not afford my paycheck to be held and not be able to pay my bills, buy food or pay my car payment. I need your help in resolving this.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I opened up a Chase Checking and Deposit accounts in XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I changed all my automatic payments to Chase checking Account and transferred {$91000.00} from my XXXXXXXX XXXX account to Chase Account via mobile deposit of my personal checks written to me and endorsed by me. When the funds were still not available two days later I made numerous phone calls all informing me that my money would be tied " On Hold '' status until XX/XX/XXXX. I called XXXX and they confirmed that the money is out of there system and is sitting on Chase account pool. I had no access to bulk of my money neither from my previous bank nor the current bank. My numerous appeals and attempts fell onto deaf ears including the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX Manager, his assistant XXXX XXXX. He told me I should send him a screenshot of my bank account along with check images, which I did, TWICE. Nothing happened. I now missed my chance to put my money in Treasury Bills to bring me at least a little bit income. I am retired and I am trying to the best with my money. To no avail .... Moreover, I wanted to transfer some securities to JP Morgan Chase. When I called and told them I needed help with the transfer because the forms were to detailed and I did not want to make any mistakes. The first two questions were " Is it self-directed? '' " How much are you going to bring over? I told them yes it was going to be self directed and asked them if XXXX XXXX XXXX was enough for them to agree to help me. The answer was " In that case, I can direct you to someone who can walk you through the form ''. This royal highness was apparently too good to help me to complete the process. I am more than appalled about the the behavior of the staff and the bank 's pompous behavior towards the citizens. I want to be compensated for their use of my money for 10 days plus penalties to put me through such anxiety and dispear. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, PA XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Chase increased my XXXX several times over the last 9 months without notification and without cause. My rate rose from 20.74 % to 25.24 %. I paid off my account upon discovery several days ago. Had I been notified prior about the increases, I wouldve taken the opportunity to pay off the amount at the lower rates. When I called into Chase, both an agent and supervisor stated I shouldve received notification and put me on lengthy holds to find the dates of any notifications. They were unable to find any. Ive also reached out to Chase via XXXX XXXX, and was told Id receive notifications about any changes to my account. I was never notified.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 my wife received a call from a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX, and they said that they are part of the " XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. They shared information about a vacation package and assured her many times that the {$1800.00} purchase is fully refundable. They confirmed the refundable element at least 10 times to reassure my wife that if she changes her mind anytime within a year that we would get the full amount refunded. She reluctantly gave our Chase credit card information over the phone, then started feeling uneasy about the purchase, so she requested the refund on the call. On that same call, the XXXX XXXX representative assured her that they processed the refund. We assumed that the issue was resolved and that we would not be charged. A few weeks later we saw the charge on our Chase credit card so we started the dispute process. Chase reached out to the merchant ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), who then said the purchase is non-refundable. XXXX XXXX XXXX also provided a policy document that explains the non-refundable detail. We discovered that XXXX XXXX XXXX representative fraudulently signed my wife 's signature on the policy. Upon Chase 's request, we provided Chase with a copy of my wife 's driver 's license which includes her signature, to show that the signed policy did not match her legal signature. Chase said that the non-refundable policy is in place and that they can not protect us as their customer. That our only option is to hire an attorney to go after XXXX XXXX XXXX. Chase knows that it was a fraudulent signature, but says that their own policy doesn't allow them to write off the charge, or protect us as their customer, or pursue any further action with the merchant. We have been going through the Chase dispute process for nearly 4 months at this point and they're telling us that we are responsible for the charge and that they will do nothing else to help us. The merchant lied to us on the phone saying the charge is refundable, then promised they refunded it which they did not. Chase had us go through the dispute process for months, and provide evidence. Then Chase refused to remove the charge.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I used the Chase drive-up atm machine on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I deposited crisp {$100.00} dollar bills and when the machine counted my money, {$200.00} was missing. I canceled the transaction thinking it would eject all of the money that I deposited but the {$200.00} was still missing. I drove around to the teller and she said I would have to call the 1800 number but she ensured me that it was not possible for my missing money to come out for another atm user. It was XXXX XXXX and I still needed to deposit the money so I deposited what I had and as soon as I got home I called the 1800 number. They deposited the missing {$200.00} into my account while they did an investigation. Then I got a letter stating that they were taking the money back because they could not find my transaction. I immediately called them and told them that there was no atm transaction because I canceled it to get my money back. I asked if they checked the atm machine for the money that was probably jammed in there and was told that they had no information on what investigation was done. After getting nowhere with them, I called my branch bank back and explained what had happened at their atm. The employee then called the same XXXX number back that I had already spoke to and this time they told me that they did check the atm machine and there was no money there. Either the money was ejected for another customer which they ensured me would not happen or whoever checked the machine found the money and it was not returned to me.
