Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a complaint regarding a recent dispute with Equifax on XXXX XXXX ( tracking number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) Despite my request for Method of Verification information on XX/XX/XXXX ( tracking number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) In relation to items on my consumer report I have not received the necessary details. The disputed item is in regards to late payments being reported on my consumer report from my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ending in XXXX and I believe that obtaining the detailed step by step Method of Verification is essential to ensure the accuracy of the information reported. I have previously submitted a dispute with Equifax on the above stated date. Although Equifax responded with a stall letter on XX/XX/XXXX simply updating the account as it was with no changes which is a failure to provide the detailed method of verification with specifics, and has reached the extended amount of time In which the original letter was sent out on XX/XX/. This delayed process is hindering my ability to resolve this matter effectively. I kindly request that the CFPB intervene in this situation to ensure compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). Your assistance in compelling Equifax to provide the necessary Method of Verification will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I can be reached at XXXX for any for further clarification or documentation needed.
