Consumer Complaint: I filled disputes with the credit agencies via the CPFB web site, each agency, the date of submission and the CPFB case number is listed below XX/XX/2023 - Equifax-XXXX XXXX XXXX However , the credit bureaus said they completed my investigation and everything was 100 % accurate for majority of the items that I disputed. According to 15 U.S. Code 1681a - Definitions ; rules of construction The term investigative consumer report means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumers character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or associates of the consumer reported on or with others with whom he is acquainted or who may have knowledge concerning any such items of information. However, such information shall not include specific factual information on a consumers credit record obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from a consumer reporting agency when such information was obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from the consumer. I would like to know who did they talk to. How did they complete this investigation? Did they only communicate with the companies listed on my credit report to verify information? Which one of my neighbors, friends or associates did they have a personal interview with? In the complaint I sent, the below accounts on my credit report were being disputed.
