Consumer Complaint: I opened a secured credit card with Discover Bank in XXXX. Upon opening of the account an initial security deposit was placed to secure the account. Discover Bank closed the secured credit card account and failed to apply the initial security deposit to the outstanding balance on the account. This has resulted in fees, late charges, interest and other accruals with the account. The account was opened on XX/XX/XXXX with an account number of XXXX. The balance reported as of XX/XX/XXXX is a past due balance of {$390.00} when this account had an initial credit limit of {$200.00}. This account also included fraudulent charges made to the account which do not reflect the outstanding balance.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 at XXXX am I reported the Fraudulent use of my personal Identification and information to the XXXX XXXX Police Department. XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) completed the report and XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) approved the report. At the time of the report I was being harassed online by someone who was changing all of my username and passwords to bank accounts, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX website builder accounts, my email address and my XXXX account. The thief started to text me with demands for me to complete in order for him to stop. I checked my credit and notice several accounts that I did not apply for and noticed a different social security number attached to my XXXX, and XXXX report. The accounts in question that still remain to be an issue are DISCOVER, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, AND XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I filled out the FTC report number XXXX and sent a copy to XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. XXXX promptly responded to the fraud and removed the accounts in question. This complaint is against XXXX and XXXX. For the past 3 years I have been submitting dispute after dispute to XXXX and XXXX concerning DISCOVER, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, AND XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. These disputes on the XXXX side keep coming back with the comments as " AMOUNT IN HIGH CREDIT IS ORIGINAL CHARGE-OFF AMOUNT. The dispute was for fraud and some how they keep trying to verify a debt which is not the disputed part of the claim. Apparently a computer is doing all of the work and no one is paying in attention for the pasXXXX XXXX years. I recently furthered my investigation into these accounts and found multiple reporting errors. Discover reported the debt as first being delinquent on XX/XX/2019 and on XXXX of 2019. They also report the account as having an available credit of $ XXXX. How can a closed charge off account report as available credit on any report. No accurate responses to my disputes from XXXX or XXXX. Instead I just keep getting generic computer generated responses.

Consumer Complaint: Per the Fdcpa law section 809 validation of debt, I have no knowledge of the is debt or account, I contacted the creditor and CFPB for the Creditor to provide proof. Under the law, the creditor has 30 days to validate or it has to be removed. I have heard nothing in 60 days of proof. I'm asking this account be removed from my credit report or I will be forced to contact the attorney general office of this illegal account and pursue this legally.

Consumer Complaint: I, a consumer and natural person recently became an applicant when I applied for a consumer credit transaction with Discover bank. After submitting my application, Discover denied me of my right that I exercised in good faith of extending my credit. Pursuant to Federal Laws and 12 CFR 100 2 Regulation B, it is unlawful to discriminate against me and not allow me to exercise my right i n extending my credit through their financial institution. This caused me some small damages a nd inconveniences due to the fact that I intended on immediately utilizing this credit extension f or some family and household purposes. A Discover letter stating that I was denied based on Age of Youngest Inquiry, Ratio of Satisfactory Trades to Total Trades is too Low, Number of inquiries in the last month, which also is discrimination because it is my right to extend my credit through them for personal, household, and family purposes when done in good faith. Consumer Complaint: First of all, I've now opened up over 3 CFPB complaints against XXXX. The CFPB really needs to take action because XXXX, being the WORST of the three credit bureaus, has messed up significantly for years. They didn't even answer one of my CFPB complaints nor have their associates remove private information from their emails ( copies of my passport, military ID, SSN card, drivers license, police/ FTC reports, etc. ). They've dragged their feet repeatedly and failed to respond to my requests appropriately ( and actually lied in writing to me and the CFPB ) and have done nothing. Why isn't the CFPB taking action against them? They removed inaccurate items from my credit report finally this week, but have also removed ACCURATE items from my credit report. One of which being my Discover credit card that was issued in XXXX. XXXX has reported it since XXXX and my score is almost at XXXX with them. It's at a sub-par XXXX or so at XXXX because they took off this Discover credit card that has been repeatedly asked to be added back on for almost 4 years now by both XXXX and Discover. Yet they failed to do so. They also removed my XXXX card I had since XXXX that was closed in XX/XX/XXXX in which I was an authorized user and significantly boosted my credit. They had no right to do this. Also, XXXX removed the Discover card as well ( but everything else on the report looks accurate ) so my credit score is XXXX or so with them as well when it should be almost XXXX had there been proper reporting. Asking XXXX, XXXX, and Discover to add card back appropriately as it is showing on my XXXX account. Attaching screenshot for reference.
