Consumer Complaint: This complaint is in reference to My credit report showing a collection from your agency. I already sent a letter to your company but you did not respond with what I asked for to verify your claims of this alleged debt that I supposedly owe. I was never notified of this collection. I do not believe this debt is accurate. I do not believe this debt is mine. Under the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT, I have the right to request and receive validation of the debt. Therefore, please provide me with a copy of all the following : 1 ) An explanation of what this alleged account balance is for. 2 ) A complete Audit Trail calculation of this balance, including the complete payment history on this account, so I have proof that the amount is correct. 3 ) Documentation that shows I agreed to pay this debt with my signature and documentation that shows I gave you permission to have my information, and paperwork showing I gave you the authorization to report this to my credit report. No consent to you having my information and unauthorized use of my social security number is identity theft and you will be reported for such. 4 ) The Agreement grants you authority to collect on this alleged debt. 5 ) A copy of your state license, including the license number that gives you rights to collect in my state. 6 ) A copy of the full purchase agreement 7 ) I want you to Swear under penalty of perjury you were present during the alleged debt Reporting information that you know to be inaccurate or failing to report information correctly violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Consumer Complaint: Convergent Outsourcing has sent me a debt collection letter on a debt that has been proven unverifiable recently and deleted from my consumer report in the past. this debt is from t mobile who used a different collection company in the past to try and collect but was deleted from my report and now sent this unknown debt to convergent outsourcing. company has not provided me with any details in regard to this account and is in violation and I will take further action if they do not cease there debt collecting acts

Consumer Complaint: I saw on my credit report that Convergent Outsourcing reported that I owe {$1400.00} to XXXX. I called them I let them know I do not owe them anything. They said that they would contact XXXX and I still haven't heard anything back in a few months. I returned all XXXX phones back to XXXX 's corporate office due to not being able to make calls or send texts the whole month I had them as my cellular provider and was told I don't owe anything. I called customer service and was told they were servicing the cell tower in my area. They didn't work in any area I was in.

I demanded proof of my signature for the alleged agreement and the company did not respond to me. I sent 5 letter since 2018 to the compant. There are laws stating that the company can not demand money of payment from me when account is unathorized. Consumer Complaint: I disputed the account with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX notifying them that the account they were reporting was questionable due to the inaccurate information that was being reported. It later showed on my updated credit report comments that I had not satisfied debt which is not factual. I then attempted to contact the company directly on several occasions ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ) to notify them via certified mail that the account they were reporting on my file was inaccurate and outdated and for them to give me the process by which they verified this debt. I have not received a response from them nor have they removed the account from my credit file which is gravely impacting my credit standing.

Consumer Complaint: Convergent Outsourcing , Inc. is trying to collect a debt they say I owed XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2002. They claim I had an account with them. I never had any account with XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, nor have I ever heard of them. Furthermore, that is 20 years ago! I responded telling them the above information. They did not provide any verification, but instead are asking for personal information that they want notarized and are asking for a photo ID. I responded telling them that I do not owe any debt and am not going to send any personal information to them. I also informed them that they are attempting to collect a debt that is XXXX years old and is statute barred.

Consumer Complaint: Purchased prepay phone service from XXXX in XX/XX/2022 phone service did not work good in my area so I didn't purchase another prepay card, called XXXX to release my phone number so I could connect to XXXX prepay service, XXXX XXXX XXXX I received a letter from Convergent Outsourcing, XXXX for XXXX and XXXX on XXXX demanding XXXX or they would send me to the credit bureau, I've spoken with XXXX both times after receiving the letter and their response is to just disregard the letter because they don't send paper statements out, but the letter states that by XXXX they would place it in collections, is this legal and can they get away with ruining people 's credit for monies they don't owe, remind you it's prepay service i never sign a contract with XXXX or XXXX.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Consumer Complaint: My credit profile shows I owe XXXX {$450.00}. I contacted their best collection agency Converegnts to request proof of this debt because I don't owe anything. I also told them I am a current customer of XXXX, as I have been for years. There is no way I should have been granted service without paying an alleged " prior debt '' in total. On XX/XX/2021, I sent Convergent a Certified letter requesting proof of this debt. I received a few bills that state I owe for a DVR box that I never had, a returned modem, and a fee for terminating the contract early. When I returned the modem, XXXX did not provide me with a receipt from the local XXXX store. The agent at my local XXXX store in zipcode XXXX claimed it was too long ago, and they have no record of my account information in their system. I sent another detailed certified letter to Convergent dated XX/XX/2021. The letter requested that they again provide me the information I asked of them in the certified letter dated XX/XX/2021. I also request they provide the alleged proof of Service Contract Agreement I Authorized, XXXX XXXX Contract Terms/ Date, Unreturned Modem Serial Number/ Make/ model, Proof Modem Was Not Returned, XXXX Serial Number/ Make/ Model, Date XXXX Provided DVR and method XXXX etcetera. Today they still refuse to respond with the requested information. Why? Because it doesn't exist. The printed bill invoice only stating I owe for a DVR, modem, and early contract termination isn't sufficient. Billed invoices are not enough proof.
