Consumer Complaint: I submitted an online dispute on XX/XX/22 with Convergent in reference to a sprint account # XXXX with and balance owed of {$2900.00} that was reported to my credit file. I requested for proof of ownership and the things I requested were the original contract with my signature, the name and address of the creditors and itemized billing for that particular account, and I also requested proof of ownership, thats shows that you are the legal owner of this alleged debt, to include all the terms and conditions that are included in their purchase agreement. I received in the mail with a timestamp of XXXX XXXX that included only the itemized bill with a number I have never used. They fail to provided my the request documents with the 30days allowed to validate this as being my debt. Therefore they are required to remove this account from my credit bureau.

Consumer Complaint: I received an alert from my bank on XX/XX/XXXX about a collection hitting my credit report. I immediately went to annualcreditreport.com to see what account was in collections. In turns out that there was an account in collection under my named that was unpaid. I contacted the creditor listed on my credit report to get more informaiton. CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING {$1200.00} Date opened : XX/XX/XXXX Account # : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, WA XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Original Creditor : XXXX XXXX XXXX The account was opened in Texas. I have never lived in Texas. I have been a resident of XXXX XXXX for 31 years and I just moved to XXXX. During the time the account was opened fradualently in my name, I was living in XXXX and buying a home in XXXX I explained all this to the creditor and they are mailing me a fraud package to dispute the account. I still have not recieved the package. I have filed a dispute with the 3 credit agencies and so far have had 1 of 3 removed from my file. I am looking to file a police report this week as well. So far I have put a freeze on my credit. Attached are documents supporting my residency during the time frames in question.

Consumer Complaint: For several months, I have been attempting to have a collection item removed from Convergent Outsourcing that has been reporting on my credit report. I have never had an account with XXXX and I do not know why it continues to show up on my credit report. I have tried disputing this information with Convergent Outsourcing themselves and they first provided me with an unknown name and address on the account. They admitted that the only thing that matched on the account was the last XXXX of my social. Convergent refused to stop reporting this information to the bureaus, so I then reached out to XXXX ( Account # XXXX ) and XXXX ( Account # XXXX ) to dispute it with them. I explained to them that I have never had an account with XXXX and I asked them to provide proof that this debt was mine. Neither XXXX or XXXX ever provided me with proof, but they both came back and stated that it was verified. Because of this deliquent account on my credit reports, I have been denied for a home mortgage, and I also have incurred higher interest rates for other credit cards I have since applied for. When I called and tried XXXX last time to have this item removed from my credit report on XX/XX/2022, Convergent Outsourcing made me pay them {$210.00} and after I made the payment during the phone call, they blatantly told me that they refused to stop reporting the item to XXXX and XXXX - even though they had just forced me to pay {$210.00} for a debt that was never even mine. I have this phone call recorded and I am happy to provide a copy of the call and blatant violation upon request. Having this fraudelent item on my report has cost me thousands of dollars and so much heartache, and I demand that it be removed from XXXX and XXXX and I also demand {$1000.00} compensation for the FCRA violation that all three of these consumer reporting agencies made against me when they KNOWINGLY continued to report false and fraudulent information on my credit report ( and not providing a single piece of proof that this debt ever belonged to me ). According to 15 USC 1681, Any person who willfully fails to comply with any requirement imposed under this subchapter with respect to any consumer is liable to that consumer in an amount equal to the sum of ( A ) any actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure or damages of not less than {$100.00} and not more than {$1000.00} ; or ( B ) in the case of liability of a natural person for obtaining a consumer report under false pretenses or knowingly without a permissible purpose, actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure or {$1000.00}, whichever is greater

Consumer Complaint: Convergent XXXX does not have the right to report to the credit agencies false information. I do not owe {$73.00} to XXXX this fee was waived in XX/XX/XXXX as part of XXXX 's XXXX XXXX Pledge ordered by the Federal Communications Commission to Keep Americans Connected. This account was not opened on XX/XX/XXXX. Convergent advised that they has since ceased collection in their office. Which is a fraudulent statement because it is still showing on my credit report for XXXX. This is a violation of my rights. Convergent has my information without the proper rights to have it. Please investigate Convergent for it's fraudulent activity in regard to fees waived by XXXX as they have unethical practices and have access to consumers social security numbers and personal information without the rights to have it. This should be made public and investigated. XXXX needs to remove this account right away. Convergent XXXX advised that they would cease collections but I am having to continuously dispute something I do not owe and they continue to report to the credit agencies in an attempt to collect which is contradicting what they said they would do. Furthermore all the information including dates are accurate. If this continues to be on my credit report I would like XXXX, Convergent XXXX, XXXX and XXXX investigated for unethical practices with the Attorney General 's Office, Governor 's office, CFPB, FCC, FTC, Department of Justice, XXXX, news, XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I received a collection mark on my XXXX credit file from Convergent Outsourcing for {$390.00}. I sent Convergent Outsourcing a debt verification letter via US mail. This letter requested documentation of proof of debt, a copy of the original written agreement between the parties signed by me, a bill of sale or any documentation proving I have a legal responsibility to Convergent Outsourcing. They were not able to provide such documentation. Convergent Outsourcing sent me a copy of what appears to be bill from XXXX. The did not provide me any documentation with my signature or proving I have a legal responsibility to Convergent Outsourcing. On XX/XX/22 I responded to Convergent Outsourcing that they did not provided sufficient proof of debt and to remove the collection from all credit reporting agencies or be in Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fraud and Defamation of Character. I opened a dispute on XXXX Credit Bureau regarding this collection, sharing all the information I requested and the legal requirements Convergent Outsourcing needed to provide for proof of debt ownership and validation. Since convergent is not able to provide the legal documentation, XXXX is required by law to remove the collection from my credit file. XXXX has not removed the collection from my file
