Consumer Complaint: I had an acct with XXXX for 14 years and was never late. I became unhappy with their service and switched to XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I changed I was under no contract, I had been month to month for about 18 months and had not signed a new agreement. They called me once to tell me that I was paying to much and they were going to change my plan to make it more cost effective. I specifically said I did not want a new agreement and that I would only do it if it stayed month to month. The CSR said it would not change anything and I let her make the changes she recommended. I really do n't remember what it was something to do with the internet. I did not get any new phones as I did when I renewed my agreement before. I left XXXX some time after that and I was not told anything about any bills and paid my last bill for service. A few months later I received a notice saying I owed them XXXX for termination fees. These are fraudulent charges made by XXXX. I have disputed this four times and it gets removed and than resold to another collection agency later. its now with convergent and it is wrong. They have no signed agreements from me and I never got anything from them. Also I never received any new phones as I did when I renewed my agreement the 7 other times. They are impacting my credit dramatically and its is fraudulent charges and they need to remove them permanently, Also correct mycredit reports immediately

Consumer Complaint: FACTS : withXX/XX/XXXX for 12 Years.
Every Two Years Had to fight to keep my bill from Spreading like .... I am extremely disappointed in the " 100 % Bill increase each and every two years, '' they try to get over on consumers. This is very bad business practices disclosed or not. Before my contract is up I have to tell XXXX, I am leaving in order to get back a closer rate. My contract was coming to an end back in XX/XX/XXXX I had called them several times before that date to try to get my bill under $ XXXX month. When I saw XXXX XXXX ad and I left forever. It was exactly what I was experiencing with XXXX. I Switched over to XXXX - ( No Contracts ) I was send to Convergent collections for Agreement/ Contract breech by XXXX . I requested the Tape Recordings from XXXX on the day that they claim I was locked in another 2 years. I called XXXX yesterday and was forwarded to collections. I gave my personal information to Convergent Including my SSN to stop this matter on XX/XX/XXXX. Convergent told me I was not in the system on XX/XX/XXXX. The next day XX/XX/XXXX I started receiving calls from Convergent. I was told they are attempting to collect a debt. I told them do not call me ever again but rather put it in writing only. Additionally, I told them dispute the amount and that I wanted proof of the contract by tape recordings with XXXX. I 've asked XXXX on four separate times for the proof of contract extension. I filed a BBB complaint yesterday when this still went unresolved. New York BBB. Complaint # XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX I will sue in small claims court each party separately if this matter is not closed. I am documenting each step of the way as I build my case against XXXX and the Collection company if need be. Please let both companies know there potential liabilities. Respectfully Yours, XXXX XXXXCompany Response: Company has responded to the consumer and the CFPB and chooses not to provide a public response

Consumer Complaint: I was contacted over a year ago about this particular debt! I contacted debt collector at that time to get info on what debt was. The company only new the company they collected for so I contacted them about the debt. This company that I contacted did n't know anything about it, and they did n't even have my name on file! They told me to file fraud report with police and I did with XXXX XXXX sheriff 's office. I had n't heard anymore until X/X/ 17 when I received another letter from another collection agency wanting to collect for the same co. I again called the company who supposedly wanted money and again they showed no record of me and of coarse no money owed from me. This is showing up on my credit report and it is false, I am listed with collection agency for no reason.
