Consumer Complaint: Account number ending in XXXX was sold/ transferred to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and with the assistance of the CFPB I was able to stop them from reporting inaccurate information to my credit files and to cease and desist. Since the time of the complaint. An unnamed authorized representative of Citibank , N.A . mailed a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, requestion my personal private information based off my dispute with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. ( See attachments ) Neither Citibank , N.A . nor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX are Holders in Due Course and I would like to know the name of the authorized representative who released the information provided to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in efforts to collect an alleged debt. Citibank N.A does not have a permissible purpose to contact me in efforts of obtaining my private information. Please be advised XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX have cease and desist as Ive previously requested and there has been no damage to my credit files regarding their debt collection attempts. I will not release any information to Citibank N.A. Please cease and desist. An honorable Holder in due course would be able prove any contractual agreements with an actual authorized representative. Consumer Complaint: I have not had any issues with Citi bank since i have been a user since XXXX. I have always paid on time. I decided to check all my credit card accounts online on XX/XX/XXXX and i noticed my Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select Card has been used aggressively and most of the charges where made by someone else apart from me or my authorized users who had access to one of me and my authorized user cards. We personally only made few charges and the rest is not our doing. I made this clear to the bank and they told me everything i have been saying doesn't had up. How I'm i supposed to know how my cards where used. If i had not checked on time i'm sure it would have been more than these amount. I confirmed from the customer care that the amounts is summed up to be {$42000.00}. I am so frustrated right now. Reading reviews online about what people experienced and what the customer care told them has been the exact thing i am being told. I never made any of this charges and i was also told i am not responsible for paying them back. But they make it sound as if i am going to be the one paying the full amounts. I have cancelled the old card and i have gotten the new card shipped to my address but i haven't activated it yet till this issue has been fixed

Consumer Complaint: Best Buy Credit Card through Citi Bank- Citi Retail Services . Closed account on XX/XX/2022 and attempted to set up a hardships payment plan with Citi Bank- Citi Retail Services . The account was closed after a sudden large jump in minimum payments due with no warning. The $ XXXXmo minimum payment jumped to XXXX XXXX/mo ( for XX/XX/2022 and further ), which was far too much for my current financial abilities. The total balance on the account is {$2200.00}, and a payment plan of XXXX XXXX/mo is not unheard of for that amount. The customer service representative looked into hardship payment plans with a monthly payment plan of {$30.00}. Unfortunately, they could not find any such payment plan and did not offer any other plans that were within the affordable payment range. They referred me to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and The Consumer Credit Bureau to find a credit counselor to assist with credit education. The XXXX referred me, without consideration, to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, which is an organization I do not support or want to be affiliated with. I have other closed credit account payment plans with a set minimum payment that is within my budget. This act of refusing me a hardship payment plan by Citi Bank will continue to increase my late payments on the closed account since I am only able to pay $ XXXXmo at this time. The unwillingness to work with me to find a plan, and to refer me to organizations that will not set up a payment plan is a tactic that punishes poor people, keeps people in debt, and allows the bank to continue to collect and grow their own wealth with the disregard to human rights. With inflation, significant increases in gas and electric bills, and a lack of government accountability, a 256 % payment increase is obscene and inhumane.

Consumer Complaint: Citi XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX statement included a 0 % balance transfer with minimum payment of {$220.00} and monthly purchase of {$250.00}. A payment of XXXX XXXXmade toward the {$250.00} purchase and minimum of {$220.00}. This should be deducted first and then the rest applied toward the 0 % promotion ; however, they are using all the money for 0 % promotion and then charging me interest rates for the purchase of {$250.00}. I was promised by surprised that this will not happen again, but then it did. XXXX statement included minimum of {$210.00}, purchase of {$250.00}, and interest charge of {$4.00}. A {$1000.00} payment was made and then next month, the same abuse was done. XXXX statement included minimum of {$200.00}, purchase of {$250.00}, and interest charge of {$3.00}. 0 % promotion is until XX/XX/2023. No interest should ever be charged when the payment is much higher than minimum due, and standard purchase combined. The additional extra payment amount should then be made toward the rest of account balance that is 0 %. They are abusing the consumer and cheating!!!!

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, I attempted to take advantage of a 25 percent discount offer from Macy 's if I got a Macy 's credit card - I found a great deal on a couple of outdoor chairs I wanted to buy. I filled out the application form, only to receive a response telling me that Macy 's ( or their credit card, an Amex card licensed to Citi Cards ) had more questions to ask me ( never mind that my XXXX score from XXXX is XXXX and XXXX from XXXX - and within a minutes I got an email saying someone had checked my credit with XXXX ). The response from Macy 's provided an XXXX number to call, but a robot calling system demanded to know my credit card number, and there was no way to get through to a human being. To make a long story short, after two hours and many phone calls, I ended up speaking with someone in Macy 's credit department. She was able to find my application but informed me once more that they had more questions, then told me I would have to wait to receive a letter within seven to ten business days with the questions, then proceed from there. But what about my discount? I asked. Oh, yes, you can still get it, she said - buy the chairs now and when you are approved, we'll take the 25 percent off. Even though the sale on these chairs ends tonight? I wanted to know. Oh, no, said she. Besides, she added, that offer doesn't apply to everything we sell. At that point I told her it would be a cold day in XXXX before I shop Macy 's again and ended the phone call. I took a screenshot of the purchase I had wanted to make and will be happy to give it to the CFPB if there is a way to upload it. This strikes me as either a bait-and-switch or, at the very least, a terribly misleading come-on.

On XX/XX/XXXX I called and spoke with a representative and I was told that they would email me a letter in 1-24 hours and it has now been 3 days. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I called again and asked for the letter to be emailed or faxed and XXXX ID XXXX stated that Citibank will not send me any proof of payment at all for 15 days. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they will tell you the same thing. They have taken my money and are refusing to provide me receipt of payment.
