Consumer Complaint: I recently requested that the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX provide me with competent evidence that I have a legal obligation to pay this company. They were unable to validate said account and I have sent two written request asking for the negative marks on my credit report taken off as for they are reporting to the 3 major Credits bureau 's this action is constitute fraud under both Federal and State Law and they violated the Fair credit reporting act. they violated the fair debt collection practice act in addition to defamation of character. This company is still in violation of harassment once a written request that no telephone contact be made by the company or the office attempt to telephone commutation with me. Company also failed to provide license number and registered agent or agent of service. a long with a license to collect in the state of which I reside.

Consumer Complaint: I was a victim of credit card fraud where several charges were made on my account shortly after receiving a Citi bank custom cash card. From XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX. I contacted citi bank on XXXX yet still fraudulently transactions continued on my account I called citi bank fraud department immediately the following day to report the fraudulently transactions. They told me that the charges were marked as fraud and would be removed from my next billing statement. Citi bank issued me a new card yet the charges still appear on my account. So I called the citi bank fraud department again and got the exact response saying the fraudulently transactions are marked as fraud and are under investigation. This was in XXXX. I've repeatedly called Citi bank once a month 4 times in the past four billing cycles and they have given me the same response explaining that the charges are marked as fraud and under investigation. They have continously given me the run around and citi bank has not resolved the fraud case. I no longer have trust in using Citi credit accounts or banking with them in the future unless this issue is resolved. I would like to have the consumer financial protection bureau help assist in getting this fraudulently transactions removed from my credit card account.

Consumer Complaint: This is not a duplicate nor is this complaint being filed by a third party, I am filing this complaint myself. Please see this complaint is processed to the letter of the law. Some of the information on my credit report was incorrect when I reviewed it. Sections 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) and 611 ( a ) ( 1 ) require the XXXX and XXXX credit bureaus to validate this account ( A ). It is not permissible to fail to validate this reporting account as unverified information without providing any proof within the time frame specified by law. As required under Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) Disclosures to consumers [ 15 U.S.C. 1681g ] ( ( a ) Information on file ; sources ; report recipients. XXXX and XXXX credit bureau shall, upon request, and subject to 610 ( a ) ( 1 ) [ 1681h ], clearly and accurately disclose to the consumer. If the consumer to whom the file relates requests that the first 5 digits of the social security number ( or similar identification number ) of the consumer not be included in the disclosure and the consumer reporting agency has received appropriate proof of the identity of the requester, the consumer reporting agency shall so truncate such number in such disclosure. & Section 611 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [ 15 U.S.C. 1681i ] ( a ) Reinvestigations of Disputed Information. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, Citi bank decided to close 4 of my credit cards accounts. Citi XXXX card ending with XXXX, with a credit limit of {$74000.00} and Citi XXXX preferred card ending with XXXX with a limit of {$25000.00}. My Best buy Credit card with a limit of {$38000.00} and Macy Card with a limit of {$15000.00} Approximately. I have been with Citi bank on average of 7 years. I Haven't committed any fraud or had issues pertaining to fraud with Citi bank. I have always paid my bills on time as expected and have never had any type of issues with Citi Bank whatsoever. Why my account was closed is still a sad mystery to me and I did try to reach out to Citi bank to ask why my account was closed after years of many scarifies and struggling to build a solid credit history and foundation. I called at different occasions ; nobody was willing to give me a reason why my accounts were closed, because am quite sure they had none. After weeks of relentless efforts, I got through to someone who told me to write a letter to find out why my account was closed. I wrote a letter asking why my account were closed, only to receive a letter that was vague and had no specifics. This is a big slap on my face, you are told to do everything right, and only to receive this type of slap in the face for doing the right things. This is tyranny. I don't know who else to turn to for help. They haven't given any specific reasons, and there is no just cause for taking adverse action against me, and I feel discriminated against. Under the Equal Opportunity Credit Act, a bank can't discriminate against you based on race, color, religion, nationality, gender, age, or good faith exercise of any rights. Their actions obviously are very discriminating to me, because the bank is very quick to give reasons in their letters while certain actions are taken. In a case where the bank writes a letter and can't give you specifics, or specific reasons why certain actions are taken, it's obvious this is discriminatory action taken against me. To make matters worse, I do not even know if a can open a new credit card with Citi bank, if after how many years of relentless efforts from me and they discriminate against me, how can I guarantee that this same type of discrimination wouldn't happen again to me?

Consumer Complaint: I had an old AMEX account that had very low odd balance of XXXX dollars. This was somehow not paid before closed account and i had moved and did not realize as such. I tried to pay this amount to AMEX and as account was closed they would not accept payment and account was told to be charged off. But has been negatively effecting score for years and been trying since XXXX to remove this form reports with no results. I recently reported a dispute with all three agencies being XXXX, XXXX and XXXX This XXXX dollars still shows on my report as a balance and is negatively effecting my credit. Please please help.. I can not get this off report. I have tried my best to have this removed and the credit agencies will not assist and remove from report. Please see my XXXX most recent reports with companies and if see page XXXX on XXXX report shows amex account balance of XXXX dollars. XXXX report has account on page XXXX and XXXX account is listed on page XXXX. This is just insane that this XXXX dollars is negatively impacting credit and I can not pay it or have it resolved

Consumer Complaint: I made a balance transfer for XXXX XXXXXXXX ( plus some fees, etc ) originally from another card to my Citi card. The Citi card was not used very often, so it was set to automatically pay in full for the longest time. I swear I remember before making the balance transfer, that I changed it from pay in full to pay minimum bialances, that way if a payment was missed, at least a minimum payment was made. I made a {$1500.00} payment before the due date, however, on XX/XX/28, I noticed my checking account had been overdrafted by {$3500.00}. I see an additional payment was made from Citi for {$12000.00}. I immediately call Citi on the XXXX, and tell them that payment should not have gone through. They put in a refund request and stated it would take XXXX business XXXX. Borrowed $ XXXX from a friend to cover overdrafts for a short amount of time as they stated XXXX business XXXX Called them on the XXXX, and they told me, it had just been approved on the XXXX or XXXX, and it would be XXXX business XXXX from then which would be today the XXXX. I called them again today, and was told that it was approved on XXXX for deposit, and I should have it on XXXX. This is ridiculous. I can't get a straight answer and I've had this account for XXXX XXXX. I shouldn't have to file a complaint with you either. Please help if you can.

Consumer Complaint: Hello. My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from XXXX informing me that my Citi Accelerate Online Savings account had been closed. I was not provided a reason for closure. I immediately called the phone number provided with the email : XXXX. A customer service representative was not able to give me a reason for closure, but reassured me that my remaining balance would be mailed out in the form of a check within 30-60 days. I have periodically called this number, along with the other customer service phone numbers provided by Citibank during the 30-60 day time frame : XXXX and XXXX. Each time I call, I am notified that I have an active and remaining balance of {$56000.00} and that it is still accumulating interest, but that the account is closed and that I am still unable to receive the funds. Each representative ensures an expedited process to mail my check, all to no avail. My most recent phone call with Citibank occurred on XX/XX/XXXX, 60 days officially from the date my account was closed, and it is the reason I am now filing this complaint. A customer service representative told me that my funds would never be transferrable and disconnected our phone call. I am highly concerned, as my remaining balance is a large portion of my livelihood. I have not been notified of any suspected fraudulent activity from my other financial institutions and have verified my identity in every possible way to confirm that these funds are rightfully mine. Since the opening of my account in XX/XX/XXXX, I have made several deposits : XX/XX/XXXX : {$10000.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$20.00} XXXX : {$10000.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$41.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$49.00} XXXX : {$5000.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$71.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$92.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$100.00} I had also made deposits prior to XX/XX/XXXX, but because I am locked out of my account, I am not able to see the exact deposits made during that time period. I do not live in a state where there are physical Citibank branch locations, so I am unable to visit a branch and get more information in-person. Every customer service outlet has provided conflicting information about my account. I am filing this complaint to receive an answer for the reason my account was closed as well as expedite the process to receive the remaining balance of funds that I have worked hard to earn.
