A negative amount balance of {$1600.00} has been erroneously reported on my credit report for more than 7 years. Its a Disgrace how These multimillion dollar companies and collection agencies come after the those working poor and/or the unemployed. The credit report stated I open the store account on XX/XX/2022. I have not open any store account during the entire year of 2022 prior or after.

They have put multiple blocks on my account for fraud verifications that Ive passed and my bills ended up being late multiple times Then I had multiple issues not being able to use my card. Then leads to now when I reciesved a direct deposit and they closed my account savings and checkings and said money will be received via check. Which is very unacceptable because I have a life and I cant spend any money or pay bills and they say they sent my pay back to the payee which i cant get for XXXX weeks due to the payroll being on vacation. Everytime I call them they give a vague answer and tell me they havent processed yet.

Consumer Complaint: Please see the attached documents. Citibank advertised {$1500.00} cash bonus for a new account with a specified minimum deposit kept in the account for a specified amount of time. I have met the terms. On trying to resolve the issue, they claim that the promotion was valid for different dates, but I am attaching the flyer which clearly specify the dates during which I opened my account. This has been a horrible experience, taking up a lot of my time, causing stress and interfering with my usually peaceful frame of mind.

Consumer Complaint: I was considering a personal loan. I started talking to a company, XXXX, but ultimately decided I would not move forward with them. When I advised them I was told that they had already sent money to my checking account ( these funds were returned unpaid as I later learned from my bank ). Over the next few days they kept depositing money in my checking account and asking me to send it back to them by either XXXX or at the end, but purchasing XXXX gift cards and me providing them with the numbers on the cards. Then then started to move money around in my other linked accounts at Citibank. I now know that all their deposits to my account were ultimately rejected as fraudent deposits, although the bank did not notice me in a timely fashion that the deposits were not going to be processed. Citibank treated these deposits as immediately available, so it lulled me into confidence that I could return them as I did not want the money and did not want to do business with this entity. In the usual course of business, Citibank would place a hold on the funds availability to confirm that the funds were good before allowing me to draw on the deposit. Had they done so, I would not have immediately returned the funds as I did in good faith relying on Citibank to have vetted the deposit so as to protect me and themselves against check deposits that were not good funds. It should be noted that these deposits were made by mobile deposit into my account, and I did not initiate the deposits, nor did I endorse the checks. A view of these checks shows that the signature on the back is not mine, and as noted, the mobile deposits were not made by my cellphone. This situation involving multiple deposits to my accounts ( all of which were not 'good funds ' has compromised me to the amount of {$15000.00}. The fraudulent checks were drawn on 'funds ' from the XXXX of New Mexico XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Citi Bank advertises on their website bonuses they will pay if a " new customer who has never had a Citi account '' There are at least 5 bonuses that pay a bonus when you select which bonus and account a person wants. I choose Citi Priority Checking Account that required me to open and fund the account with $ XXXX. I did that. Over the course of about 90 days give or take a few the balance could never drop below $ XXXX and mine never did. The checking account paid ZERO interest just a bonus. The bonus I am due is {$500.00}. I have called Citi at least 7 times because they have not paid me. After the 100 days past I was free to take my cash and I did.I left {$50.00} in the account because they required the checking to be opened to deposit the bonus. I have spoken with 2 supervisors who walked therough all of the guidelines and both said I should get the bonus. They informed me they could not do anything because bonuses were handled by " Citi back office '' and they don't take calls. Today I asked for someone higher with authority to handle my problem, was told there is no one. Today was told if I did not get the bonus I'm out of luck. I have 2 other friends that the same thing has happened to them. We opened the accounts on the same day. I hope you can help me get my bonus please.

Consumer Complaint: I paid for my wedding in XXXX on XX/XX/2022 using my Citi credit card. The total was {$8500.00}. Due to a hurricane, the wedding was canceled. The merchant ( Secrets Hotel ) told me the easiest way to initiate the refund would be to dispute the charge with Citi so they could accept and return the funds. I opened separate disputes for the initial {$500.00} deposit and the subsequent {$8500.00} remaining payment. The initial response from Citi was to put a conditional credit on my account and ask for documentation. I sent Citi 's dispute department emails from the merchant detailing the dispute acceptance and advising Citi to refund the money. Citi never contacted the merchant, removed the conditional credit, and found me responsible after 2 months. I reopened the dispute with Citi. I have continued to call, chat, and email their department with no real response. The merchant advised me that they were contacted about the {$500.00} initial charge and approved it, but that dispute is still sitting open, as well. They still have not been contacted about the {$8500.00} dispute, despite the fact that it has been open for 4 months now and I have had to pay the balance. When I speak to anyone ( phone number for disputes, chat, email, etc. ), the standard response that they are reviewing the information and will reach out to me in 7-10 days is all I get. I am so confused as to what they could possibly need and what action is actually being taken. They have emails from the merchant asking them to refund the funds and they still have not even contacted them regarding the larger amount. As for the smaller amount, the merchant has approved after being contacted but the money still has not been returned to me and the dispute sits open. This is over {$9000.00} of my money that Citi is holding on to, with no real way to get in contact or escalate to someone who can take action beyond the standard " wait longer '' response. The standard guidelines for disputes are in place for a reason, and Citibank is in clear violation of them in both of these cases.
