Consumer Complaint: I used my Capital One card for three separate transactions to book a trip through a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX is a travel company that offered all-inclusive guided tour vacations, and I used them previously for a successful and enjoyable trip. I met several people on that trip that booked subsequent trips with XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX collected customers ' money for the past several years then delayed the travel due to XXXX, and in XX/XX/2022 they sent an email that they are closing and keeping everyone 's money. I immediately filed disputes with Capital One to get my money back since the trips I paid for did not take place, and Capital One denied my disputes and said too much time had passed since the transaction to get a refund, despite the fact that I did not and will never be receiving the items I paid for ( my two trips ). I am now out of options as XXXX XXXX XXXX has liquidated and indicated they have no funds to pay their customers back. I have stated this to Capital One and even sent their CEO an email with my supporting documents, only to be told " No '' yet again. So much for consumer protection. This is my last option to get my money back, and it's a little less than {$2000.00} that I am owed.

Consumer Complaint: Around the end of XX/XX/XXXX I went on to the kohl 's credit card mobile website to change my bank account information. The only place I could see to do this was under " payments. '' I added my new bank information and deleted the previous bank account. Nowhere on the website did it notify me that if I was using the autopay feature that I would have to change the bank information in a different part of the website for the autopay to use my new bank information. The autopay charged my old account on XX/XX/XXXX. Because I wasn't expecting money to be taken from that account, I had nothing in it to cover the payment. I was then charged an overdraft fee of {$35.00} from my bank. When I saw this I called the kohl 's credit card phone number and spoke to XXXX. I explained the situation to her, and though she acted like she understood, she also rudely stated that most customers know to go in under autopay and change the bank information there as well. Apparently the " payments '' feature was for one time payments only. When I first signed up with autopay all I did was click a button to turn it on and it automatically populated the bank information from the payments section. I tried to ask why it didn't automatically do that again when changing bank information but she didn't have an answer. She tried to help me change the information under autopay but on my end there was nothing to change. She then had me get on a desktop computer to try. I didn't have the password to my kohl 's credit account saved on that computer so it locked me out even after creating a new password. Herself and two others tried to unlock my account but were unsuccessful. I was told to call back another time to try again. At that point I had already been on the phone for 30 minutes and in the end there was no resolution. I believe this to be unfair billing practices and intend to pursue this to the highest level I have to. There needs to be a warning that changing bank information on the payments tab does not change it for autopay. In addition, the mobile site needs updating as it clearly can not show important information.

Consumer Complaint: RE : XXXX DISPUTE, THROUGH CAPITAL ONE CASE NO : XXXX I made a dispute against the charge from XXXX. The disputed amount is {$300.00} and the transaction date is XX/XX/2023. I was informed today that the merchant is claiming that he provided me with services, and that I signed to agree to his terms and conditions. I did not sign anything agreeing to any services. I was not provided with terms and conditions. I paid for a hoodie, and have yet to receive it. Further, I believe that I provided adequate proof that I paid for merchandise and not services. The username from the merchants XXXX account matches the email address that he contacted me from, and we were clearly discussing the purchase of a XXXX brand hoodie for {$300.00}, and not " services ''. If the merchant is saying that I paid for services and signed documentation, then that is fraud as I did no such thing. Capital One ruled in the merchants favor, and I now have to pay back the {$300.00}
