Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from Comenity Bank requesting me to call them to finish processing a Kay XXXX credit card account application that I did not initiate. The letter is dated XX/XX/2022. My name is spelled incorrectly on the letter. I did not make any attempts to process a credit application with Kay XXXX nor have I at any time. I did not apply for any new credit accounts with Comenity Bank although I have in the past and do have existing active Comenity accounts. I have not attempted to open any new credit accounts with any bank or creditor within the past 3 months. This is the second notification I have received about an attempt to open a credit account in my name in XX/XX/2022. The first was reported to me by XXXX XXXX. They notified me that there was a new hard inquiry on my XXXX account from XXXX on XX/XX/2022. I contacted XXXX the following morning and put a freeze on my credit. I also reported this inquiry to the FTC on the morning of XX/XX/2022. The letter from Comenity Bank arrived at my house in the mail this week. The letter is dated XX/XX/2022. I have not seen any new accounts on my credit report. I am checking it daily. I have only seen the new hard inquiry from XXXX which I would like to be removed from my credit report as it is a fraudulent inquiry.

Consumer Complaint: Applied/Approved and opened the Bread XXXX XXXX XXXX the beginning of XX/XX/2022. {$3000.00} limit. Received card about a week later and activated. Didn't try to use it for another week or so. Tried to book a room online for a trip and was denied. Thought maybe I entered info wrong so I tried to add it to my XXXX wallet and pay that way. Denied. I called Bread/Comenity who had me verify all of my information and then told me they couldn't tell me why. They told me they weren't allowed to because of fraud and that I needed to EMAIL them a copy of my drivers license, social security card and utility statement. I told them that was suspicious and they said they would just send me a letter in the mail about it. No letter arrived so I called back and they said they would send another letter. This was the case through XXXX, and now in XXXX I am contacting the CFPB. I can still log into the account online and it shows the XXXX as available credit. The haven't reported the account to any Credit bureau, they also haven't reported any of my other Comenity card history since XXXX. There is a whole thread of people on the credit forum that are having to dispute their reports just to get them to report. If they didn't want to give me the account that is fine, but don't issue the account then lie about fraud after the fact. I am tired of waiting on hold for them to try and get me to send them unsecure emails with my SS in it.

I have made multiple attempts in trying to resolve this matter privately. I have shown Comenity Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX the error in the reporting of this late payment, which they have fell to correct, which is a violation under the FCRA. This will be my final attempt in resolving this matter before filing a complaint with the XXXX for arbitration. Consumer Complaint: I've had this credit card account ( XXXX XXXX ) with Comenity since XX/XX/2022. I've been using it and paying on time. They have not yet reported this account or my activity to the XXXX credit reporting agencies. This is effecting my utilization and payment history negatively. They said it was due to their system problems. I opened a dispute with them on XX/XX/2022 and got a confirmation from them. They said they would have it resolved in XXXX days. I reached out after 30 days and they are not responding. I need my activity reported. I've also requested a credit line increase and haven't heard anything from that. They are not fulfilling what I feel are requirements under the FCRA.
