Consumer Complaint: From XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, I received well over twenty calls from XXXX, often calling me three times in a single day. The number primarily used " robo-callers, '' but all my research suggests this was a debt collection agency acting on behalf of XXXX card, of which I had recently signed up for a credit card. The calling was essentially nonstop, and it was very frustrating. I sent a certified letter to XXXX explaining the problem. I received a signed confirmation that they received my letter, but I never got an actual response.

Consumer Complaint: I am XXXX years old XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX A XXXX XXXX XXXX Credit line was opened without our being being aware XXXX XXXX Contract Number XXXX Purchased XX/XX/XXXX To XXXX XXXX A XXXX XXXX account was opened for us without our knowledge. We have learned this happened to another family in Tennessee as reported on the news. XXXX XXXX XXXX Sales agents in XXXX : XXXX XXXX was highly aggressive XXXX XXXX We purchased XXXX XXXX points in XXXX but were told it would not cost anything is we charged things to the Barclay credit card they issued. We have learned this only pays pennies on the dollar. They said we did not have to pay anything until we got our statement. Somewhere they said they charged us {$2000.00} on a credit card they issued. XXXX points for {$14000.00} was charged to the Barclaycards. I didnt know what we bought. They just said if we charged things using the Barclay credit card, then it would be all be free because we would not have to pay anything. You would pay for the purchase by using the credit card. We were there from morning until about XXXX XXXX in the afternn0on. {$5500.00} was put on a Barclaycard in XXXX name {$9300.00} was put on a Barclaycard in XXXX name {$7300.00} Promotional purchase {$2000.00} Promotional purchase {$30.00} Promotional purchase We then received a Welcome to XXXX XXXX credit and thank you for an account on XX/XX/XXXXwhich I had no idea had been opened. I cancelled the credit card shortly after the transaction XX/XX/XXXX, but I learnedXX/XX/XXXX that Barclays says I need to pay the credit card charges. We were not even aware that the Barclay cards had been opened until we returned home. They ran our credit on our personal card and came back and said we had great credit. Without our knowledge two Barclaycards were opened. We owe XX/XX/XXXX maintenance fee to XXXX {$53.00} I have always paid my bills until this nightmare. I have sciatic nerve problems and I dont know what to do. I am not sleeping and dont know where to turn. I am working just to make money to try to end this. This is Elder abuse and Elder fraud. There was no time to read anything.

Consumer Complaint: These big banks are so misleading when it comes to rewards/points. On XX/XX/XXXX, I redeemed points I had on my Barclays MasterCard and paid my bill a couple of days later. When I received my statement after it dropped on XX/XX/XXXX more than 10 days later, the statement said I had earned XXXX points. However, when I called to redeem my points the supervisor XXXX Empl # XXXX in Nevada told me I only had XXXX points. When I asked what happened to the other XXXX points, she said I had redeemed them XX/XX/XXXX. I asked her why it would list points over 10 days after I had redeemed them, but then they disappeared somehow, she said I had redeemed them already. I told her to list points like this on the statement without a line showing that the points had already been redeemed was false & misleading. XXXX didn't agree.

Barclay stated my credit score was too low to leave my account open, although I have been paying every month and was not delinquent. I had a revolving credit line and they essentially turned it into a high interest rate installment loan. This should be illegal. This happened last month around XX/XX/18.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased an XXXX Computer, an XXXX, and was induced to purchase the product on an 18 month deferred interest payment plan on the Barclay Card. So I opened the XXXX/Barclay Card account, when through numerous steps both online, at the XXXX XXXX, and over the phone with Barclay to make sure I was eligible for and had received the 18 months deferred interest payment plan. I was told several times that the deferred interest would show up on the next Barclay Card statement. It never did and they have been charging me interest on my payments for 13 months.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2017 I used a convenience check in the amount of {$2200.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX card that offered 0 % interest if paid back in full in 12 months. The balance I owe on the convenience check is {$2100.00}. In order to pay it off timely I needed to pay {$270.00} per month until the expiration of the promotion. In addition I need to pay on my non-promotion balance. The minimum payment on the non-promotion balance is {$45.00}. So I made 2 payments {$45.00} + {$270.00} and called requesting that they apply {$270.00} to the promotional balance. They refused saying my non-promotion balance needs to be paid in full before they will apply any payments to the promotional balance. I have used the same promotional offers from several other credit card companies over the years and have paid them off the same way by making the 2 payments. I've never been required to pay the revolving balance in full before applying payments to promotional balances. I even paid the same type of promotion off on another card as recently as this week. I feel XXXX XXXX is abusing the offer so they can penalize me by requiring me to pay the full interest on the promotion.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/, I settled an old debt for less than the full amount. I was told, in writing, that the account would be settled for that amount. Today, I received a notice that there was a change on my credit report. Instead of it saying the account had settled in full ( for less than the entire amount ), they simply lowered the balance. I have called the office multiple times over the past few days and have a hard time reaching anyone. I have been calling because I have a court date with them scheduled for this Tuesday ( XX/XX/XXXX ), and it doesn't appear they have informed the court we have settled. When I finally reached someone earlier this week, they told me they were sending a letter to the court that afternoon. However, I spoke with the court this morning, and they informed me that the date has not been cancelled yet. I feel like the company has been very disingenuous during this entire process when I am simply trying to move past a difficult period in my life. I am attaching a copy of the settlement letter, a copy of my proof of payment of the agreed upon settlement amount, and a copy of the screenshot showing the updated credit reporting information as of this morning.
