Consumer Complaint: I tried to open a checking account with bank of America and they told me I couldnt because I already had a account. I told them well I want my money out of that account then. They said sorry but they couldnt with out a check or debit card. i showed them my ID and said no if I have a bank account than give me my money. They wouldnt so I left. Consumer Complaint: On or about XXXX of XXXX, ONLINE, I opened a Merrill Lynch checking and brokerage account. I made a few deposits into the account. I received an ATM card and rarely used it. I little over XXXX in what Merrill calls a CMA account. I recently moved from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, AR XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX, Ar XXXX. I called Merrill and updated my new address, verified my full name ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), my social ( XXXX ) my date of birth ( XXXX ) and phone number ( XXXX ) XXXX. I was then told I needed to visit a branch to put some documents on file. I did not have to visit a branch to open an account or have money deposited into the account. While an office is about XXXX miles from me, I work in the opposite direction and my work location is about XXXX minutes one way. I offered to send whatever they needed via email, text, or secure message and the representative simply stated I had to come to a branch. I was told several lies on the call, which I recorded ( Arkansas is a one-party state ), and will be filing consumer arbitration, however, I want this complaint on the record also. Merrill is refusing to release my money that was lawfully placed with them. They did not put any restrictions when I opened the account only when I want to take money out. I even tried to close the account and was told I could not ( again on a recorded line ). Obviously, this is not correct. I told them to send the money to the address on file and was met with " no '' I would have never opened the account if I would have been told to withdraw money I needed to visit a branch. I am enclosing my XXXX tax return which shows my social security number. It does have my old address, but I am submitting my paid-in-full renters ' policy that shows my current address, along with my latest pay stub. I simply want the money that is in my account and not the run-around. I will handle the " run around '' via consumer arbitration which I am intimately familiar as the documentation shows. I do have a copy of my social. It's with some older ID but it is a copy of my social security card. Odd how they now want a copy but not when I wanted to deposit. A great question for the arbitrator. A complaint is also being made to the Arkansas Attorney General. Thank You! On a side note, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, so using XXXX or XXXX XXXX XXXX as the city will get any correspondence to me.

Consumer Complaint: After 16 years as a loyal account holder with Bank of America they closed my account with no explanation 3+ years ago. I have contacted multiple departments to try to receive the funds that were in the account at the time of the closure {$4200.00} and was ultimately told they would be held indefinitely with no timeline for release or explanation. Representatives spoke to most recently regarding the release of these funds being wrongfully held : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX floor manager XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX manager XXXX XXXX Next day opening XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX supervisor XXXX claims to be calling me back today. XXXX called back Friday .. no resolution XX/XX/XXXX XXXX says XXXX calling back once she is off call XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Called back XXXX get another supervisor as no call back was made spoke to XXXX escalated to supervisor XXXX XXXX asked to be connected to supervisor above him XXXX leaves me on hold for over 20 mins ignoring me. Another 30 mins on hold transferred to XXXX XXXX supervisor

Consumer Complaint: I had deposited a check to my Bank of America account it went through then I see that my account went XXXX and then I got an email regarding the check that it would either not work or I would refunded the XXXX into my account once it was looked at and verified I wake up this morning to check my account and I got a notification on my banking app that my account was locked I called and I was told that Bank of America took it upon themselves to completely deleted my account because of fraud I told them I didnt care anymore about the XXXX Im guessing that the check wasnt good which me and boss understand but after that i just told the representative from the bank that I wanted to have my account back because I have my family send me money and where I live I dont have a Bank of America close by Id have to drive XXXX XXXX to Bank of America keep in mind I dont drive and I dont have a car I dont even have family here in Ohio I just want to keep my account and have my debt card working they wouldnt even provide me with the reason as to why I wasnt notified by email nor have I had the help Im looking for

Consumer Complaint: I am apart of a group of women who collect XXXX cups from all over the world. We pooled our money to purchase cups from XXXX sellers for preorders. On XX/XX/XXXX, I paid 50 % deposits ( {$1500.00} ) to XXXX XXXX XXXX via XXXX ( XXXX ) because this is a presale meaning that I must pay the items 6 months in advance before the item is release. She ensures me that all the cups that are preordered will be secured if we paid the total amounts that we placed the orders. She sent me the invoice for {$3000.00} but I paid {$1500.00} ( including {$4.00} XXXX fee ) so I only had to pay {$1500.00} by XX/XX/XXXX. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX sent me the tracking for XXXX cups, but only to find out that the tracking ( tracking # XXXX via XXXX ) was never updated because every week I have been tracking the package since she gave me and as you can see that tracking is false. It keeps saying Shipment Information Received, meaning that the package never left XXXX nor XXXX house. She told me that Im going to get an email from XXXX about the package and I never gotten any of those in my email nor text messages. And because of this, I have asked XXXX to cancel the orders and refund me my money except she never responded, however I have been hearing from her sister-in-law and her closest contact, she said that she refused to send refunds to anyone who annoys her so like me. Im getting XXXX by XXXX. Before going through my bank, I have called XXXX to help me filed a chargeback for this transaction and they said that because it is out of 180 days, they cant do anything and was told I must file it with my bank. Even before XXXX, I have tried reaching out personally to XXXX by calling and texting whether thats through XXXX XXXX or XXXX, and she stopped responding to my messages in XXXX. Yes, to banks, this amount ( {$1500.00} ) is a small amount but as for me and my clients, this is a huge amount, and it is our hard-earned money that we used to pay to secure the cups. Since I have had no communication since XXXX, my family and I hired a private investigator to go to her address that I have on file, and the private investigator told us that the house looks beaten down like no one has lived there for over a year. I am not the only person that XXXX XXXX is scamming. There are so many people that is willing to help me to get the written statements from them to help me with my case that I will be attaching here as part of my case for you guys to listen and for my voice to be heard. On top of that, I also found out that XXXX XXXX has run away to her parents house in XXXX, XXXX and stopped communications altogether. We also filed a police report and the police sent XXXX letter to respond, and she hasnt responded to that police letters. You can see that I have taken many steps before reaching to my bank to assist me, trying to refund the money ( {$1500.00} ) that XXXX refused to send a refund. I hope you guys understand and reconsider my case again, but this time favor my side especially when you see the documentations that Im attaching you and you guys will realize that I am not the only person that she personally scam. Theres a group of us. You can see here that she promised many of her clients that she was going to refund on XX/XX/XXXX which was very well within XXXX 180 days scope to get the money back, but never did and this was the last conversation that we ever heard from XXXX XXXX. Thats the only reason why I didnt file a claim because she made an agreement with me to post and when I followed up with her, she disappeared. During that time, I went through a lot of things ( i.e. XXXX and XXXX ) because Ive been a victim of harassment and racially profiled because Im XXXX from my previous employer and until this day, Im still trying to find a legal aid service / lawyer that can take my case on because they XXXX my final paycheck on my last day of the resignation. I am attaching you guys the invoices, testimonies of how many people she scammed, plus the police investigation that we filed locally ( XXXX )

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXXBank of America 's Auto Loan Customer Service Department reached out to me to tell me my car loan was paid off and I was owed money back for overpayment, and that they were closing my loan account. I looked into my personal account, with another bank, to pay bills and came to realize that Bank of America drafted XXXX ( ten ) times the amount of my monthly loan payment and that I was at a negative balance. Luckily I had over-draft protection. Seeing how I couldn't prove that it was either my fault or their fault this came to be, I called them back to ask that my over-payment be returned immediately seeing as how I had no money. I e-mailed Bank of America at XXXX. I was informed that i had to show proof it had cleared my personal account before they could go any further. I sent them an e-mail showing it had cleared my account and a separate e-mail stating that this payment had to be a misunderstanding. I wasn't going to fight to have the account reopened and delay the process of having my money returned. I was then called by a member of Bank of America to say my overpayment would not be returned until after the end of the month of XXXX and that my request to have my money back immediately was denied. I called again XX/XX/XXXX to speak with the loan officer that denied my request to have my funds returned promptly but have yet to speak with her. I called again for a third time to see where they were at on this case and was told there was nothing that could be done, while I sat at home wondering how to keep the lights on. XX/XX/XXXX, I called again to tell them I would like my money for overpayment back immediately or I was going to file a formal complaint with CFPB. That fell on deaf ears. On that same day, a lady by the name of XXXX called me and said If I send her a copy of what I sent already, about the bank statement showing the ACH clearing my account, she may be able to help but with no guarantees. I delayed filing my complaint report on hopes that she could work her magic and get my money returned. XX/XX/XXXX, I am contacted again by XXXX to tell me politely that they couldn't do anything. I just had to wait to receive my money when they send it out. I am owed in excess of {$6400.00} and this has put a financial burden and stress on my family and myself. I will never do business with Bank of America again

Consumer Complaint: I deposited XXXX different checks totaling roughly {$160000.00} on XX/XX/23. We have have had deposit holds before ( every once in a while ) but surprisingly all XXXX checks were put on hold until XX/XX/23, including a {$50000.00} cashiers check! I also deposit millions of dollars of checks every year, so this was a shock to say the least. I tried contacting Bank of America see what their reasoning was for putting a hold on XXXX individual checks all at the same time. I spoke to a manager, and they had no clear explanation or logical reason that could ever possibly apply to all XXXX checks. I have many people to pay before the hold is released, and this is quite ridiculous that they can put a hold on these many checks all at once.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 Charged 2 XXXX XXXX airline tickets on newly opened Bank of America XXXX XXXX XXXX master card credit card {$2100.00} Bank thought it was fraud, so on their own, they canceled the tickets with XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. BofA claim number XXXX Later, BofA changes their mind, says the charge is valid, and wont reverse. XXXX XXXX says they were never paid and won't reverse the charge or issue a credit... So now, I paid {$2200.00}, have no airline tickets, no flying credit, and BOfA wont reverse charges, and XXXX XXXX claims they were never paid for booking reference XXXX... Please help, they wont
