Consumer Complaint: I approached bank of america for a HELOC towards the end of XXXX. Following the underwriting process this HELOC opened in XX/XX/XXXX. As per the HELOC terms and conditions explained to me by the Loan Officer on a recorded line ( which I dont have direct access to at this point ), if I met the follwing 3 conditions, a discount of 1.5 percentage will be applied to my rate ( prime + .18 % ) : 1 ) I should draw down aleast XXXX USD at closing 2 ) Do not pay back any additional principal for 1st 4 months 3 ) Use autopay from my checking account to pay the HELOC dues I met all three of these conditions. A preferential rate, which was lower than the prime rate was applied for the first few months by bank of america. After six months these discounts were withdrawn and now I pay a rate of 8.68 % ( prime + .18 % ) on my HELOC balance, insead of 7.18 % discounted rate as per original agreement. When I enquired with bank of america they explain that my current rate of 8.68 % is inclusive of all the discounts discussed before closing. This was not the way the HELOC discount was explained to me during the sales process. Also when I request Bank of America for a copy of the signed agreement that reflects the applicable interests, they send me a PDF document online, that is corrupted and can not be opened on my computer. They would say yes we see something let me see if we can see what is going on but never put back my money or tell me what happen. Operator just ask card number and send you to another operator so how do I go about being compensated because I know my account was used Incorrectly ... Now they just got in touch with me about a job debit prepaid card and only gave me back XXXX they act like no you did not call us we do not have your account but I know they lying because they just settle my prepaid account. on last week and rushed me off phone. I met all the requirements on my payments as well as making future payments. I recently tried to use the card today to catch an XXXX. There was an error message so I called customer service. They claimed the account had been closed since XX/XX/2023 and I should have gotten a letter by the mail. I didnt receive any letter nor an email or notification within the Bank of America app inbox of the account being closed. I have been making on time payments of {$81.00} by the XXXX of the month via the mobile app.

Consumer Complaint: I renewed my CD over the phone with Bank of America. They said I would get a CD receipt in the mail. None came. I went through several people - but never got the CD. Apparently the button on the computer they pressed no longer works and all said they could not print it themselves. I filed a complaint XXXX with you. XXXX XXXX called and said she could see the CD on her computer screen. She said she would print it and send it to me. But almost 2 weeks later I got nothing. I assumed she was going to print her screen and have it mailed to me. But now I think she used the same button that all the others used - resulting in nothing. Then I was surprised to see her response to you that she sent it and closed the complaint. I feel this complaint should remain open until I actually receive the CD. Something is wrong with the button they are pressing- it should be simple for whomever sees it on their screen to print the screen and place it in an envelope - should not take 2 weeks.

Consumer Complaint: I am a Bank of America customer and our family has been looking for a husky puppy. We found on XXXX a breeder near us. The breeder had asked to send money through the XXXX app for the puppies vaccines and vet visit, so I proceeded to send it first {$100.00} then in a couple of days {$80.00} and lastly {$150.00} making a total of {$330.00}. I was supposed to receive the puppy on Sunday XX/XX/XXXX and the breeder continued to make up lies and demanded for more money. This user is on XXXX XXXX as Blessed Husky Farm and goes by XXXX XXXX but might have the real name as XXXX XXXX, I have pictures and screenshots of conversation and as well as the money transfers. He blocked me and told me he guaranteed I wouldnt get my money back because hes done this a lot of times.

According to bank Of America the amount of {$910.00} was taken from the XXXX XXXX XXXX ATM. I received an email stating that my acct was below the amount I set to be contacted if the amount falls below {$15.00}. I called Bank Of America concerning the transaction to see how was this possible they told me is was done through an ATM at XXXX XXXX branch I ask how is that possible when I didnt go to the bank that day and I have my ATM CARD present with me they told me is possible because thieves put scanners on the ATM machines to scan people cards, so I proceeded to file a Fraud claim with Bank of America.XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX they sent me a letter back, telling me that claim has been resolved, and during their research, they reviewed the ATM footage and found that high made the withdrawal, and as a result, my claim has been denied.. I asked him to send me proof of the pics that made them come to that decision and I received the pics in the mail and that picture does not look nothing like me. So I refilled a second claim and just received the mail back today dated XXXX XXXX and it states again your claim has been resolved review the ATM footage and found that you made the withdrawal as a result your claim will remain denied. This is unacceptable Im on unemployment and I did not make that withdraw of {$910.00}. Please Help you are the 3rd agency Ive reached out to with no luck or help in retrieving my money from Bank of America.

Consumer Complaint: The credit bureaus stated that my account was properly investigated ( BANK OF AMERICA- Account number XXXX ). I dont understand how that could be true when I have found multiple inconsistencies. The balance updated date is inaccurate, the number of months is incorrect, the last pay date is inaccurate as well as the account type. All of these are inaccuracies and by law is grounds for removal, my rights under 15 USC 1681 Section 602 A. States I have the right to privacy. 15 USC 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : It states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. The credit bureaus have been negligent and have taken over 30 days to complete my investigation. They have also been closing the investigation without a response. They have recently closed my complaint stating that they could not find a credit file for me? How could that be true when they are reporting information on my credit file? Please remove this account off of my report due to negligence and inaccuracies!

Consumer Complaint: I have recently reviewed my consumer disclosure provided by XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX and noticed I was reported for " suspected fraud activity '' by Bank of America. I do not have a bank account with Bank of America and never did in more than 10 years. The account showing on the reported information was not opened by me and I am not responsible for any activity on that account. I am very concerned that Bank of America would allow someone to open a bank account without my verifiable identity information or my consent. I was aware that my information was fraudulently used last year without my knowledge to open a few accounts with various institutions and I have worked with those vendors, and they have closed those accounts upon concluding that I wasn't the one that solicited those services. My credit reports with the 3 credit bureaus is clear. However, I had never been contacted by Bank of America regarding the existence of this account or the supposed fraudulent activity until I saw it on my XXXX report after being denied opening a bank account for my business.

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America decided to closure my platinum credit card which I have had for over 16 years. Even though I have made payments on the card, kept the balance low and I completely paid off the balance of {$2100.00} they still closed my account instead of rewarding my good credit card usage. They claimed that I missed payments however after calling the bank several times to fix the technical issues with the scheduled payments not coming out they did not help me fix the technical issues and about 3 payments were late but they were eventually paid and I paid late fees as well. Bank of America has not resolved the issue with scheduled payments coming out of my checking account and into the credit card account even tho online it says the payments are scheduled. I believe that Bank of America manipulated my current financial situation because I lost my job and instead of closing my other credit card which Carries a higher balance of about {$7000.00} and which had a much higher interest rate, they decided to use predatory business practices by closing the credit card account with a much lower interest rate. Its also important to know that Bank of America no longer offers the platinum credit card and over the years they have tried to close this credit card account on me which I believe is because is has a low interest rate which they do not profit off of as much as my other credit card. I am requesting to file a complaint so that Bank of America reopens my credit card and if they wish they can close the reward credit card which has a higher interest rate.
