Consumer Complaint: I fear I am the victim of discrimination by the American Express corporation. I received a promotional offer on my account to upgrade from their Hilton Surpass to their Hilton XXXX card, yet when I accepted their offer they informed me that the offer was not valid. Their response is very obtuse, puzzlingly alluding to some vague, unspecified issue that they claim may or may not have impacted my account. Amex asked me to be patient while they researched this issue, as you'll see in their correspondence to me from XX/XX/2021 ( copy attached ), but over six more weeks have passed and I still do not have resolution to my concerns. Further, overwhelming evidence is amassing on various consumer websites suggesting, strongly, that other Amex customers encountered the same issue yet were upgraded, given preferential treatment for not complaining to the XXXX or CFPB. I have a perfect payment record with Amex and am sickened and repulsed by their callous, dismissive treatment. I ask that you launch an aggressive investigation.

Consumer Complaint: I have applied for numerous credit cards and while in the earlier stages I was advised that it would be more difficult to obtain a credit card due to a lack of credit history, I should continue to build credit with my current two cards. I have been advised by XXXX that I had a 98-100 % chance of being " pre-approved '' for their credit cards and am subsequently denied every time on these hard inquiries. I have upwards of 15 denied credit inquiries, which I've attempted to dispute with my bank, XXXX and American Express. An XXXX phone service agent admitted to me that their website can be deceptive in terms of having people apply for a credit card and the likelihood of being approved. I need these inquiries to be removed and XXXX should be investigated for their unethical and misleading phone agents. I would these inquiries to be removed from my credit file so I can improve my credit.

They did investigate it and clarified everything but they cancelled my credit card. They never sent another one. It felt like it was my fault. I am still paying it but they denied me a replacement. I spoke with them but they said not to me. American Express never sent another card. That is discrimination.

Consumer Complaint: American Express Bluebird has a serious security flaw with their prepaid cards. My account and my husbands account has been depleted from funds in different states without the physical card. American Express receives your complaint and then tells you it will take up to 45 days to complete the investigation. This is ridiculous, but thankfully I am only adding a little bit of money at a time to my card, {$200.00}, but enough for me to now write a formal complaint. I have not been receiving text transactions like I am set up for, and nor did I notice the charges that seem to be done here and there to avoid being caught. Amex hires people from the XXXX to handle all calls, including fraud calls, who have no experience with this type of thing nor do they seem to care. My account was charged, w/o the physical card in XXXX and Illinois since XXXX. My husbands card was also compromised and was used w/o the physical card at a XXXX XXXX in North Carolina last year. Once I submit my claim to Amex Express, I am never using this card again, and if they are going to pretend to be a financial institution, there should be proper protections put in place to avoid these fraudulent transactions, and they should not take up to 45 days to investigate a fraud complaint. Consumer Complaint: I wrote a complaint about my Bluebird account being processed late. After my complaint was sent to you, the new owners of the Bluebird name have suspended my account in retaliation. My account is blocked from access online and wasn't resolved upon calling the customer service number. They wanted me to confirm that another card I use was allowed to send money to my Bluebird account. When we made the call to the other card company, the information they needed wasn't available from that card agency ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). There was a small balance of money that can no longer be accessed by me or anyone else without any resolution possible. The account was locked from the Bluebird side, and once this was confirmed with XXXX, Bluebird had no reasoning available to address my lack of access to my account.

I called at XXXX XXXX on Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX. I called on the dedicated line for XXXX members - XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was on hold for 17 minutes 14 seconds. This is different than the service levels the company advertises when procuring the card so this is a clear case of bait and switch. I called to pay the balance due on my card but I could not get through.This level of service is absurd for someone who is supposedly a good customer and has been so since 1983. This has now happened multiple times and is a clear breach of the customer service agreement I was promised when paying for the card

I put all my busyness, travel and supplies expenses on the card. ( Platinum and Gold cards ) and paid in time. In XXXX my Busyness took a big hit. My biggest client could not pay me, and I called Amex and said I would be a little late with the payments. In XX/XX/XXXX I owed them this in the " pay over time '' in credit card debt {$42000.00} They said ok and we where in contact from XXXX to XXXX. I would pay what I could and I did, and told them a big check was on the way. In XXXX I called to send in a payment of {$8900.00}. I was told my account was cancelled because I was two days late. I said late for what? I have talked to you every week this month letting you know that the money is coming, nobody mentioned a deadline, We where all in Agreement And I am sending you a big check. No they said, somebody must have told you. I said NO!, find the recording of our conversations where that was mentioned. They could not find it. My account was closed and I lost XXXX points. That is many round trips to XXXX for me and the wife. XXXX where very hard on our business : Gallery and Art sales. I called AMEX and they did not know what was going on. Then I got sued. AMEX did not let me know about a deadline for payment and that i would loose the XXXX points. They did not let me know I would be sued. I have been dealing wit the initial Lawsuit for years. I was never served, but found out about it from lawyers wanting to represent me. So AMEX wanted to sneak a judgment by without me knowing. I have been in contact with the law firm and it looks like they are dropping the case. But they did not file what we agreed on and that i Signed. But something else, something more open ended. It is still going on. And now I just found out that I'm being sued again by a different firm for the same thing. I can not be sued for the same thing in two states. And I am asking for a dismissal for duplicate action. And again I have not been served! They are trying to get a settlement by a judge without my involvement. . This is amateurish and hurt full. In fact it's servitude and slavery, and I am perfectly willing to go to the press and talk about this flaw in compound interest. It has cost me a lot over the years and kept me down, They killed my credit rating so I have to run my business on cash alone, I can not even lease a car or get equipment. The way I see it I have paid back the principal plus interest. owed : {$42000.00} paid : {$45000.00} I lost XXXX points of value, they want {$21000.00} in compound extra interest, I think that cancels each other out.
