Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX with Amex whom I currently have a card with. I applied for the XXXX gold card, to which they said my application is declined. I called in puzzled as to why for them to lie and tell me the reasons for declination is " I have a XXXX credit score, and a history of delinquencies. '' I know this was absolutely false, I'm on top of my credit and even subscribe to XXXX and my XXXX. My XXXX score is XXXX, my XXXX score is XXXX, and my XXXX is XXXX. I've never had a late payment or collections in my life. So I faxed over copies of said credit reports downloaded from XXXX and faxed it over same day of the application to prove they're lying. I called today on XX/XX/XXXX to confirm the status of the application since I didn't receive the follow up call I was promised to confirm if they received my fax or not to be told even though I submitted concrete proof from the credit bureaus that their information was completely false they were going with their false information and declining my application. The most hilarious part of all of this is even within their own application they offer a free credit report and score that reflects my credit bureau reports of a XXXX score with no delinquencies ever, nothing in collections nada. So where they're pulling this completely false information from is beyond me. They won't even look at the fax I sent over proving their information is incorrect.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I purchased a car with my American Express serve card. By Thursday XXXX XXXX the car dealer took the car back because the car was very broken. They advises me there associate took the American Express by accident he was new and did not know they did not take it. The dealer advises to place a dispute in the charge and they would approve it and Amex would give me the money back. Since then no one at Amex can answer a question, they continue to extend the time for the dispute. The car dealer approved the reversal on XX/XX/XXXX and I am attaching said letter. No one at Amex can explain why you money is still not returned and refuse to help in any way. I have been hung up on, lied too, and still do not have my XXXX back. No one has a answer as to why they just say the dispute team is looking into it but never let me talk to someone handling the actual dispute. They give me nee dates further and further out each time, but zero answers.

Consumer Complaint: I paid my American Express completely off in XX/XX/XXXX. It wasn't until I applied for a car loan in XXXX that I saw that have been dinging me for 2 years. I called customer service and they advised that I had a interest balance of under {$10.00} that was never paid. I was never given one phone call or sent one letter. Do you think I would have had a good standing with Amex, pay it off and then let them ruin my credit over {$10.00}? I have spoken with several customer service reps who advised they will have a manager send a letter to remove the late remarks. I also have a business card with Amex I will close if this is not resolved.

Consumer Complaint: I signed up for an American Express Platinum Card with the intent on maximizing the advertised new member bonus. The bonus I saw on every application form stated 75,000 points for $ XXXX in purchases within the first three months and 10x bonus points on supermarket and gasoline purchases within the first 6 months up to {$15000.00}. After a few weeks I noticed the purchases for supermarkets and gasoline cleared at the regular 1x reward rate for purchases. I called and was told the situation would be investigated and I would be called back. After two weeks I called today to get an update and was told the case was resolved and no changes would be made. I asked to speak with the deciding personnel and was told they do not speak to anyone but can send me the link I used for application that would prove I was not offered what I stated above. When pressed for the link the employee I spoke to ( XXXX, ID XXXX ) told me they did not have the means to send me the link, which goes against what she had just told me. I asked to speak to a supervisor but was told they were all busy. This was the same thing I was told earlier, that I would be called back. I am doubtful that this would be followed through based on the prior experience.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX i was pre-qualified for a American Express Platinum card. I proceeded to apply as instructed. They ran my credit and it came back as XXXX Fico. Well above the acceptable range. I was given a " well contact you when we have a decision email '' On XX/XX/XXXX i was given a decline on the application. I inquired as to why and the customer service rep said my income was too low as reported by the IRS ... .She said my Income from XXXX was only XXXX ... .When in fact it was XXXX. i pushed back and told her that's incorrect and they must have pulled the wrong year or made a mistake somehow. I have attached to this complaint a copy of my XXXX IRS return transcripts as provided to me by the IRS. This is very worrying that American Express is practicing such bad and unethical ways.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a American Express Serve Card from XXXX in XXXX, MI and loaded {$500.00} at XXXX. I was unable to register the card for 6 hours as I called the AE Serve customer service at XXXX I was able to activate the card and I found out that my {$500.00} was taken out of my card by someone with the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account in New York at XXXX the same day XX/XX/2021. I have never used this card, I have spoke to six representatives to find out how I can get my money back. The fraud protection at AE Serve stated they can not reverse, stop payment or cancel the transaction, they have to let the transaction go through it will take 7-10 business days to investigate and there is a hold on a online purchase from this person in the amount of {$490.00} and {$0.00}. I have no idea how a non activated card that has not been registered was able to have {$500.00} removed from the card. I am furious and American Express customer service and fraud protection department will not give me my money back.
