Consumer Complaint: I fell behind on payment of my American Express XXXX XXXX. Before they ever spoke to me even XXXX, they called my XXXX and spoke with my XXXX. They gave her exact details telling her that I was XXXX XXXX past due on my bill with total amount late and owed. Telling her complete details of my credit card account! This call was placed from American Express XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX at their office location. My XXXX are in their XXXX '' s. This has upset them terribly! I am extremely embarrassed and upset that a bank would use tactics of this nature and also being illegal for them to do so is surprising. Consumer Complaint: I opened an american express credit card account in XXXX of 2022. The transaction was opened with a signed promissory note I gave american express at consummation of the credit card account. American express turned around and gave me a check in the form of a loan. All which was created from my promissory note. After giving me a line of credit/loan american express also added interest fees and a high APR. the entire transaction was false and misleading and they also furnished deceptive forms trying to coerce payment from me. It was my understanding that I was given a loan in the form of line of credit from american express. When in fact my promissory note that i signed originally was given back to me in the form of a loan. This is a formal instruction in accordance with 15 U.S.C. 1666 ( b ) ( 2 ) to provide documentary evidence, which includes books of account in accordance with 15 U.S.C. 44 to resolve this billing error, the documentary evidence, which includes books of account in accordance with 15 U.S.C. 44, must be provided to clarify this amount on account number XXXX. I have reason to believe and do so believe that all past, present, and future billing statements received by AMERICAN EXPRESS COMPANY are billing errors under 12 CFR 1026.13 ( a ), beginning with the date the account was opened in or around XXXX of 2022. They failed to perform on the agreement so the note is null and void. I've been damaged by the many violations american express has ran on me a federally protected consumer I have suffered XXXX XXXX XXXX defamation and also harrasement.

Consumer Complaint: -I had XXXX reward points with American express XXXX Points were obtained through credit cardrewards with many credit cards, then combined together. -I closed most credit cards, except for XXXX that didn't charge a yearly fee. XXXX XXXX my remaining credit card due to inactivity in XX/XX/XXXX, however I did not receive notification. I also did not agree to close the account.I found out the card was closed on XX/XX/XXXX. -Amex then took away all reward points I had in my account. Again I did not receive notification, and I did not agree with them taking away my reward points. -I tried to contact Amex on XX/XX/XXXX, but they claim they have not done anything wrong, and are not able to reinstate my reward points. -I disagree with their decision. Those XXXX points are worth about {$1500.00} cash back. I did not agree to for them to be forfeited, and I did not agree to close the credit card account.

Consumer Complaint: From XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, I was a resident of XXXX XXXX XXXX Due to the pandemic. During this time in my absence somebody gained access to my personal information. Someone made Unauthorized transactions using my American Express credit card. I did not have access to my account in XXXX XXXX it does not work so there was no way I could make those transactions. I contacted the financial institution. to inform them of this situation. American Express customer service department told me that they would investigate and notify me once they had their outcome of the investigation. As of XXXX, the XXXX XXXX I have not received any e-mail or regular mail regarding this situation the account Remains Open as I pay down the balance. There has been no reversal of the fraudulent transactions. I sent in all my supporting documents. I would like for American Express to reverse the fraudulent transactions and place my account back in a positive status I think that would be the correct resolution.

Consumer Complaint: I had a positive credit balance of {$140.00} on my American Express XXXX XXXX card. I requested that the balance be sent to me via check in late XX/XX/XXXX. After about a week, I reached out to ask if the check had been sent. I was told that yes, it had been sent. And I noticed that my balance was now XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received the check, and cashed it. Then, a day later, I noticed that XXXX {$140.00} had been deducted from my account. I called American Express and they said that they had mistakenly sent a second check out. I told them I needed them to void that check and credit {$140.00} back to my account. On multiple dates in XXXX, the most recent being XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I either spoke or chatted with several AmEx XXXX who promised me the funds would be credited back. They have still not been credited back. My credit card statement will be closing soon and I do not want to have to have to pay a balance to AmEx that I don't actually owe. I keep being told the issue will be resolved in XXXX business days, but it has now been almost XXXX weeks, and I keep being told to just wait. This seems like an unacceptable thing for me to be burdened with, especially since this is a problem that AMEx created, and which they seem to have no interest in fixing. Can you please help? Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: I closed an American Express account XXXX ago. In XXXX I received a credit on the closed account of {$1900.00}. American Express mailed me a check since the account was closed. Then in XXXX American Express sent a statement saying I owed {$1900.00}. Then used my past bank information and auto debited my checking account for the {$1900.00}. My issue isnt that they asked for the money back they mistakenly sent me, its that they used my financial information without asking. I closed my account though they still allowed someone else to make a payment to it and kept my checking account information. What does closing an account mean? I thought my account is fully closed and my financial information like a checking account would be removed. Please help. Thanks
