Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/, I filed multiple billing disputes with Amex against the same merchant who wasn't able to fulfill my orders and didn't issue me a refund. Amex closed all disputed cases in my favor and issued me a credit. They then suspended all my accounts on XX/XX/. They posted a phone number for me to call regarding this suspension. When I call, I get an automated message that says my accounts are in good standing. The frontline customer service representatives have no information on why my accounts are being suspended. I didnt receive ANY communication from Amex regarding this. Interestingly, on XX/XX/, the suspension was removed, only to be put back on XXXX even though I didn't attempt to use any of my cards. Its been XXXX days since they suspended my accounts. I have XXXX annual fee bearing cards which cost me an average of {$8.00} per day, that's {$310.00} as of today..

On XX/XX/2023 I received Notification that my American Express business credit card was reported on my personal credit report, which is affecting my score. Its to my understanding that a business credit report is not supposed to be placed on a personal credit report upon asking American Express to provide me with a copy of their policy of their credit reporting I was declined to receive any copy of any policy that states American Express has the right to report a business credit on a personal credit report.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I traveled out of town and found out that as I tried to charge a hotel stay, that my credit card limit was decreased. I contacted American Express right away and no explanation was given other than after a review of my account was the reason. I have never been late since opening the card. I have even made additional payments before or after my due date. When I opened the card I questioned the high interest at the time because my credit rating was over 700 but never followed up again. With I was told by management after an hour that I needed to make a payment and then the credit limit would be restored. That was untrue. I was then told that I needed to make another payment as well before the call ended. Finally, they allowed me to use the card and caused me to be over the limit. This caused additional fees and charges. I contacted AMEX today to close the card but was advised not to until my year of having the card was near to avoid additional promotional penalties. I explained that my financial strain was due to losing a parent. I was only offered a payment plan. I am requesting the waiver of these fees. I would have made additional payments had this not occurred. Now the account is over the limit causing more fees and the interest is just as much as the payment so, little is going to the principle. I'm drowning at this point.

Consumer Complaint: American Express card charged my card {$7500.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. for an amount I did not authorize and which I disputed in XX/XX/XXXX. American Express refused to reverse the charge. On XX/XX/XXXX I filed an identify theft compliant on IdentifyTheft.gov ( see attached ) American Express continued to refuse to reverse the charge, charged me interest on the {$7500.00}, closed my account/refused me credit when I did not pay the {$7500.00} plus interest, submitted negative reports on this to all three major credit bureaus ( significantly damaging my otherwise perfect credit history ), had four sequential collection agencies hound me to replay, then American Express 's legal department filed a lawsuit against me, obtained a default judgment without lawfully serving me, had the sheriff unlawfully attempt to seize money from a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account not in my name for which I am only the trustee for other beneficiaries, and still refused to reverse the charge and interest or stop trying to pursue the lawsuit and default judgment.
