Consumer Complaint: Reference : Ally Bank Case # XXXX -- XX/XX/XXXX -- Spoke with Ally Bank Rep regarding incorrect monthly interest payment based on my current annual interest rate of 1.5 %. I was told that in 10 business days I would receive the interest payment, in arrears, from XX/XX/XXXX. -XX/XX/XXXX-I followed up with Ally Bank Rep since I had not received the interest payment in arrears. I was told that nothing was done, but that it would go out this day, XXXX, at Ally 's expense, and that I could call back after mid-night for a XXXX XXXX tracking number, and that I would receive my check in 3-4 days.. -- XX/XX/XXXX-I followed up again to obtain the tracking #, but an XXXX Supervisor said the recalculation was in process and that there was no tracking number yet. I was also told that I would be contacted by XXXX within a day with an update as to tracking number and check amount. -- XX/XX/XXXX-No update received

Consumer Complaint: I was purchasing a vehicle back in XXXX and Ally Financial ran my credit 7 times, there is no reason why it should put 7 inquiries on my credit report. I sent a verified letter to the dealership and to ally financial, and I got a response back that it was " factual ''. I am trying to purchase a home for my family right now and this is damaging my credit.

Consumer Complaint: I have a cancelled GAP {$1500.00}, refund goes to payment of the principal one time, then spread -out into 5 months payment starting XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX, resume payment XXXX XXXX, so I paid XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX in the of {$300.00} each month, what happened the payment of {$300.00} for each goes straight to Finance Charge, as explained to me, the last payment they received was {$30.00} last XXXX XXXX, no payment for 5 months they said, I am losing 2 months principal payment, plus another 2 months in the future payment, because if my XXXX and XXXX payment was shared with principal/fin charge my monthly installment of XXXX will become 63 months, but it stop to 65 month because everything went to Finance Charge.

Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem when attempting to purchase vehicle at the end of the lease
Consumer Complaint: I currently lease a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX through Ally. I am within 90 days of the end of this lease and as I have done many times before with leased vehicles, I considered trading in the vehicle early. I contacted Ally on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to request a payoff amount and was given a figure of {$23000.00} good through XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I decided on a new car to purchase and arranged a trade-in deal with the dealer based on them taking my XXXX XXXX XXXX and paying off the lease through Ally. When the new car dealer went to verify payoff information through Ally, they were told that the payoff amount of {$23000.00} that I was quoted was only good if I purchased the car for myself. In order to take the Jeep on trade, the dealer would have to pay Ally over {$27000.00} in order to payoff the lease. I feel that having different payoff amounts is a deceptive practice by Ally. I understand that early payoff of the lease is a calculation based on the original lease contract terms including the vehicle 's agreed-upon residual value. That amount should not change whether I am buying the car for myself or trading it in to a dealer. There is no mention in the lease contract of the difference in payoff of the lease for me buying the car vs. trading it in.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a truck in XX/XX/XXXX. I bought it thru a dealership, the int. was high even tho I had good credit rating. The finance person assured me repeatedly that I would be able to lower the payment within a year. That was a flat out lie. They sold the contract. The company that purchased it did a terrible job with how they applied the int to the loan taking way more than they should have each month. I stopped making payments until they corrected this situation. They never did. Instead they put two payments to the rear of the loan to get me caught up, I made a double payment, all of which went to int. except a small amount. The credit report constantly shows me late, when in XXXX I caught up and stayed current. they even admitted they missed one of my payments. they wont correct it. very damaging. and still they want thousands more in interest money than they should be getting. the correct amount should be {$13000.00}. they have it as XXXX, and I have paid well over 15,000 with more expected. I have argued til I am blue in the face. they just wont listen to reason. I show I have 8 payments left, they are demanding 12. I refuse to give in to them. I just want this done. I may not have been perfect on this loan, but it is paid and I can pay it off today, if they would come to a real number, and that would be 6 months ahead of schedule.
