Consumer Complaint: I have bank with Ally for roughly 8 years between 4 different auto loans between joint with my wife or just myself. At least once a year I make a Lump Sum principal payment to reduce my overall due and reduce my monthly payment. I made one on XX/XX/XXXX which per company guideless is required to be equal to 4 months worth of payments ( XXXX x 4 = {$1100.00} XXXX I paid {$1200.00}. The company via 7 different call, numerous emails as messed it up this time around. I was paid ahead tillXX/XX/XXXX after myXX/XX/XXXX payment & before the Lump. They gave me the option to move my monthly forward to help. I agreed toXX/XX/XXXX without issue. However, monthly has still not lowered they are asking me what it should be. When my loan went into play XX/XX/XXXX my payments were slated at {$310.00}, the first Lump was XX/XX/XXXXfor {$1300.00} which reduced me by {$22.00}. Not sure what the issue is this time around

Consumer Complaint: When this loan was originally taken out I was only the authorized user on my mother 's loan for this account. Somewhere along the line Ally financial started using me as an account holder, since my mom was sick. She eventually stopped paying due to illness and the account was transferred to a collection agency. I was never listed as an account holder with them and they never reported it to any credit reporting agencies. In XX/XX/2019 my mother died and Ally is reporting this on my credit file to all 3 reporting agencies. In the original loan documents it states that if the account holder ( or any account holder ) dies then loan is considered paid in full. I contacted Ally sent them my mother 's death certificate along with a letter to remove this from credit reports. I sent a certified letter that a company rep signed for on XX/XX/19. I asked that they validate my obligation and send me proof and to also remove this based on the loan agreement stating that upon death of 1 or more of the account holders the account is paid in full. It has been over 30 days and it is still being listed

There is an upper tier underscored c followed by a capital B in XXXX. 5. XXXX is erroneously reporting Ally Financial as late. This car payment has never been late. 6. XXXX is reporting an Ally Financial past due balance of {$20000.00}, when the payment is not past due. 7. XXXX and Ally Financial are over reporting the current loan balance of {$17000.00}. 8. XXXX is reporting unauthorized hard credit inquiries from XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXl and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I did not authorize any hard inquiries from these institution, but I was contacted by each regarding pre-authorized card offers which [ they each ] promised would not impact my credit score. 9. Consumer Complaint: I am having extreme hardship and I have talked to Ally Financial, we made an agreement to have missed payments on the back of the loan. they reneged on that and repossessed my car. That's not what has me upset the most. I feel extremely offended by the customer service reps that I spoke to. I was called a very XXXX women by one gentleman. I am upset at that, I have called the company, I have contacted the XXXX and the response that everyone receives is that they will not reply due to privacy concerns. I don't understand what the privacy concerns are here??

Consumer Complaint: Hi, Ally Financial has been calling me to say Im in the process of repossession for my car because Im behind 4 payments. I have receipts and tracking number for my payments from the month of XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. As I am on the phone with the rep, they are saying Im behind since XX/XX/XXXX and Im catching up on whatever is late. I asked them can they verify the exact dates which ones are missed, they cant seem to give me the information. Instead the rep gets upset and ask if I can make {$1400.00} today. I hung up the phone and called another rep to see if they can help me. The second rep told me I owe {$2400.00} and that I was behind on whatever delinquent. Still no specific dates according to them that I missed. I will not make any payments until I find out what is missing and wheres my payments going to since I been mailing them through money order and express mail. I became frustrated because I felt like every rep I spoke to didnt want to help me, so I hung up the phone. Please help me out.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern : I am writing because my vehicle was repossessed prematurely and not based on company policy. I was informed by an Ally representative their company has a 90 day policy for repossession. My payments are due on the XXXX of each month. My vehicle was repossessed either the evening of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX or the early morning XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. At the time of the repossession my account was 85 or 86 days past due. I have called XXXX times since XXXX XXXXXX/XX/2019 to resolve this matter with Ally to no avail. I tried to make payments to Ally twice on XXXX XX/XX/2019 ( two different calls ) for the total past due including any and all fees plus the upcoming payment that's not due until XX/XX/2019 ; and they have repeatedly refused to accept my certified funds. They are stating because the vehicle has already been repossessed, I now have to pay the total balance in full. I had just received an email from Ally on XXXX XXXXXX/XX/2019 at XXXX XXXX stating my payment was due on XXXX XX/XX/2019, but according to the representative my account was already flagged for repossession days before. I was preparing to make a payment on XXXX XX/XX/2019 because I just received a pay check from my employer that cleared. However, I awoke to find my vehicle was taken prematurely repossessed. I feel I am being treated unfairly and under the circumstances I would like to be given an opportunity to rectify this situation. I never received any verbal or written correspondence stating my vehicle was in jeopardy of being repossessed. I honestly thought if I made payments on XX/XX/2019 I would be fine. I am able to make all the past due payments and any fees plus the upcoming XX/XX/2019 and even XX/XX/2019 payments in full immediately by certified funds. This is my livelihood, if I don't have a vehicle I can't work and if I can't work I lose everything.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Consumer Complaint: I leased a car from GMAC, made ALL payments promptly and FULLY. When I turned in my car, the dealer accepted the car as is -- -no dings, no problems, whatsoever, pristine condition. GMAC then sent me a letter saying the contract called for a disposition fee, prepping the car for sale -- -UNNEEDED in my opinion. I DISPUTED the fee and would not pay it. I was never told by anyone that there was this addtional cost to the lease. Yes, it was in the contract ; HOWEVER.. I was told the disposiyion fee would be waved if I leased from GMAC again. I would not considring this BLACKMAIL. After numerous, more thandaily, call, dunning me, I asked them to stop harassing me. They did, but they also reported this DISPUTED cahrge to the credit rating services who immediately became complicit by reducing our PERFECT credait rating incrementally as I was still disputing the fee. I finally gave in after tryig to lease a car from another dealer who said I was a tier 5 credit risk when I had always been tier 1. The point of this complaint is twofold. One, all auto leasing companies should be required to STATE verbally ALL costs of a lease instead of SNEAKING in hidden fees!! Two, Credit rating companies should not allow one disputed fee to wreck a perfect credit record especially when it is a protested fee. The intricacies of protesting for elderly people particularly, I am XXXX, is abhorrent. I believe credit rating companies should not conspire with any company to destroy credit. I believe all leasing companies should be required to STATE all leasing costs. I have paid the disputed, STILL, fee because it was in a signed contract. To make matters worse, my wife who also, unnecessisariously signed the GMAC lease, had her credit rting destroyed. Now I am asking for a law change and an instruction to the credit card comapnies to stop conspiring on such charges and to return my wife and I immediately to our previous, for year perfectt credit standing.
