Consumer Complaint: I haven't been able to log into my account to even attempt to make payments since 2016. I've tried numerous times to have my information sent to me in order to log in, but somehow they don't recognize my social security number and birth date. I've requested forbearance at least 3 times already because it's my only option without logging in. All I had to do was reply " yes '' to their email, or let my account fall into delinquency. I want to pay my loans but they won't help me do it! I started out with a small loan and it's doubled in size because I can not do anything about it. This is incredibly frustrating and unfair.

Consumer Complaint: I had already made my payment for this month and had a {$0.00} balance due. I got an email today from Navient, XX/XX/19, that " the payment term for your loans has changed ''. It then says next payment amount : {$50.00}, and next payment due date : XX/XX/19. So they changed the terms of my loan to instantly cause a past due payment. I go into my loan and sure enough, it has in big red letters that it is " PAST DUE ''. I had made a payment on XX/XX/19 for {$400.00} toward this loan and had no balance due this month, then suddenly they created a retroactive past due balance. I'll be so angry if this hurts my credit score. How can this be legal? I immediately submitted payment even though this shouldn't have happened and just needed to report this insane behavior.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX this year I filled a complaint because I was trying to get Navient and XXXX to communicate with each other and reslove this matter. I was advised by CFPB " When two borrowers obtain a consolidation loan they become jointly obligated to repay the entire loan. If one of the borrowers become totally and permanently XXXX, that borrower may qualify to have their portion of the debt that represents their underlying loans discharged. During these situations, the consolidation loan will be reduced by the amount representing the XXXX borrowers portion '' My husband who is XXXX XXXX have a consolidated student Loan. We filled out an appplication with XXXX to discharge his part of the loan. XXXX told me that Navient did not report anyone owing the loan except for me. When they check with the XXXX XXXX department, my husbands name is not included so they can not discharge his part of the loan. I have gone back and forth since XXXX concerning this. I would like to know what steps I can take to resove this matter. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: Well my student loan was being managed by Navient. I see that another law suit went into play by your company ... .Navient seems to being sued by everyone..huh? Yet my Federal Tax refund went to the US Dept. of Education ... the entire amount. I did not even know of owing anyone due to both of my XXXX needing XXXX and this has been a " long drawn out process '' thru XXXX ... my XXXX XXXX is finally done in the middle of winter and I stayed deathly sick afterwards so I called and told them my XXXX XXXX would not be done til summer. I'm not going thru that again. Now I owed them money too. I am responsible for an adult child with XXXX XXXX XXXX after raising a child with XXXX XXXX ... are you seeing the big picture here ... not an easy life so to speak. I thought Navient had gotten me thru a Loan forgiveness but I guess not due to the USDE taking all of my little {$2700.00} on federal tax refund. I depend on that money to do things that I can not afford to do off my little {$31000.00} a year which is not much after taxes in this economy now a days ... you can not even find a rental prop no matter what it is below {$600.00} and don't get me started on cost of living for everything else it takes to live in this crapped up world that in my opinion " the rich get richer and the poor get poorer '' ... .and while the Government turns a blind eye to I don't know how many millions that the banks got our country into back in XX/XX/XXXX ... .my XXXX little student loan which I thought was taken care of thru forgiveness ... oh yeah the government needs that ... In closing the USDE sent me some automated email with this case number attached to it XXXX ..my name XXXX XXXX. saying they would contact me within 15 days as of XX/XX/XXXX. No other contact has been made to me ... .so I guess in closing no only will I not get any of this years tax refund back ... .they are planning on doing the exact same thing coming up this years returns ... and I guess XXXX me out of money that I depend on as a single mom to take care of things I can't afford because it takes my entire pay just to live in this economy ... and I don't take vacations or go out to eat or those leisure things other people enjoys ... .I just try to live basically and make sure my child with a XXXX XXXX is okay. So if anyone and I mean anyone can take this seriously and help me out with this ... .I would greatly appreciate it. But, I've never been dealt a descent hand in life and I'm sorry to say due to that ... .I do not get my hopes up about things ... I guess I've grown complacent to expecting the worse and that's usually what happens ... so thank you from the bottom of my heart sincerely .... if you can do something about this in advance.

Consumer Complaint: Navient has misapplied my loan payments and has not followed my instructions on how to apply over-payments resulting in an increase in loan balance. I made a payment on XX/XX/2019 as follows XXXX Direct Loan - Unsubsidized - {$50.00} XXXX Direct Loan - Subsidized - {$200.00} On XX/XX/2019 I provided Navient with notice of the payment, the confirmation number of the payment and specific instructions regarding how these payments should be applied. The payments were to be applied to the outstanding balance of the loan and were not to advance my monthly payment. On XX/XX/2019 I made my standard monthly payment which includes a payment of {$250.00} to loan XXXX and a payment of {$37.00} to loan XXXX. The full amount of the payment was taken out of my bank account but only {$200.00} was applied to loan XXXX and {$0.00} was applied to loan XXXX. I don't know why my payment was not applied correctly or where my money went. There is at least {$150.00} in payments unaccounted for plus the interest that has accrued because Navient did not applied my payments correctly. Navient sends out canned responses that do not answer my questions in response to my questions. Navient fails to apply my payments correctly. Navient fails to provide an accounting of how past payments are applied when requested.
