Consumer Complaint: ( THE SELECTION OPTIONS YOU PROVIDE DID NOT FIT ) A dispute on the 3 cra XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX was initiated in XX/XX/XXXX for an alleged bill claimed to be owed to XXXX for the alleged amount of {$330.00}. I had disputed this bill numerous times and with XXXX, regarding not being properly credited for a closing bill they claim the billing is correct I still dispute it as I believe I owe far less more like under {$100.00} if anything. I was not notified in writing ( not that I can recall ) that this debt had been forward to convergent outsourcing acting as a third-party collector on behave of XXXX. Convergent started collections and reporting on my credit reports, Long story short after their numerous attempts to collect, for the full amount or 50 % they were trying to extort out of me, management ( per XXXX ) agreed upon an amount of {$130.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, they were supposed to send me a written agreement which I requested before I would pay in full the agreed upon amount, on XX/XX/XXXX they finally sent a written agreement via email, with an error, the due date was the next day XX/XX/XXXX and this was not discussed with me, so on XX/XX/XXXX I called and spoke with XXXX XXXX and asked her for a corrected settlement agreement in which, I was assured it would be sent to me shortly. on XX/XX/XXXX I called asking where was the written agreement and that I would pay the XXXX that day instead of honoring the written agreement with the wrong due date, they chose to try and bait and switch me to pay a higher amount. My concern is since I have a written agreement and they will not honor it, how can I be sure that they will honor any agreement we come to and pay XXXX including reporting this debt as being paid. I do not want to be scammed after paying an agreed-upon amount and then this collection company pulling a bait and switch again and going after me for more money, I thought anything in writing is supposed to be a legit agreement.

I am livid and intend on filing litigation for these unethical and ILLEGAL tactics. Consumer Complaint: Apparently someone used my SSN and name to gain a loan. This loan was provided without my authorization as I required whenever my credit credit is checked. A collection agency Convergent is trying to collect payment on this debt that is not mine. I contacted them and the company who provided the loan and also provided a police report to the collection agency. I received a second letter saying the debt is valid and and verification of the debt with a copy of an agreement. The names on that XXXX LA agreement are not mine. Agreement is attached. XXXX Louisiana is associated with XXXX XXXX for the loan. I again called Convergent who seem to think this is still my debt. I called XXXX XXXX and spoke to a supervisor who said she was sending it to the highest level for them to contact me. They have not done so. My concern is that this will affect my credit score. Furthermore I am taken aback by the fact that my name and SSN is enough for this lender to decide to provide a loan without my required authorization and then attempt to hold me accountable. The bank should be held accountable for my inconveniences caused by their poor loan practices.

Consumer Complaint: Around XX/XX/2021 I received an alert the my credit score had dropped, I quickly reviewed my credit report and found an account being reported as delinquent. This accounts shows as XXXX XXXX, the amount owe apparently is {$440.00} The account is being collected by a collections agency called Convergent. I contacted XX/XX/XXXX multiple times and they were unable to assist me, they were asking me to provide a password for an account that is not mine. I explained to the agents that this was not my account, I only have one account with XXXX XXXX and that account has an impeccable payment history. I have never requested to have an additional account, nor have I live in a different address for the last 20 years

Consumer Complaint: Im confused and stressed and shocked when I reviewed my credit report this week and I found multiple inaccuracies on my credit report from the 3 major credit bureaus from a collection company that I never have dealt with before. I've attempted several times to ratify the issue with the original creditors and credit bureaus and they still reporting inaccurate, unverifiable information. I have disputed this item with the credit reporting agency and they reported you confirmed the account as valid. I honestly do not believe to ever have any relationship with this collection agency or original creditor. Also there are several inaccuracies with this account the way it's reporting and that's a total violation of FCRA and FDCPA laws and regulations. In a good faith effort to resolve the matter amicably, I must demand proof of this debt, specifically the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature, as well as proof of your authority in this matter. Absent such proof, you must correct any erroneous reports of this past debt as mine. I am writing to request that you please provide the following information : 1. Please evidence your authorization under 15 USC 1692 ( e ) and 15 USC 1692 ( f ) in this alleged matter. 2. What is your authorization of law for your collection of information? XXXX. What is your authorization of law for your collection of this alleged debt? 4. Please evidence your authorization to do business or operate in this state. 5. Please evidence proof of the alleged debt, including the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature. 6. Please provide a complete account history, including any charges added for collection activity. You have 30 days upon receipt of this letter to provide strict proof of contract. In the event you can not provide strict proof of contract, you must cease and desist any and all collection efforts and immediately remove any derogatory information reported to the consumer reporting agencies. In addition, you will need to provide me your agreement, in writing, that you are closing your file, ceasing collecting activity, and deleting all information related to this reference number from any and all credit reports youve furnished the information to. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a debt collection notice from Convergent Outsourcing , Inc on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$150.00}. I've spent multiple hours attempting to reach someone at XXXX or Convergent Outsourcing, Inc who can help resolve this incorrect debt collection request and am very disappointed in the inability to reach a customer service agent that understands the issue and is able to help resolve this issue. The debt collection notice is related to the following charge : In XX/XX/2021 I traded in my XXXX XXXX for a XXXX XXXX. I mailed my XXXX in to receive a trade in credit and on XX/XX/2021 I was informed I would be charged {$150.00} due to a cracked screen on my trade in device. I reached out to a customer care agent in order to request this be reviewed as my screen was not cracked when I mailed in the phone and on XX/XX/2021 I received the two attached emails stating the trade in charge for a cracked screen was refunded and ... there won't be any charges made by XXXX further ''.
